  • S2 : E12\ The Grip of Fear | Life, Relationships

Survivors of narcissistic relationships often experience some residual goop left over from the relationship like fear, anxiety, and PTSD sparked from the days, weeks, months, and years of abuse. But writing her first book, Married to a Narcissist: Enduring the Struggle and Finding You Again, host Catenya McHenry says was a cathartic experience helping her to slowly heal. This podcast has also provided healing from the pain and has empowered her to speak about the experience without tears but with more peace and wisdom.

In this very personal episode though, she shares one of her fears and a short chapter titled "The Grip of Fear," from her second book she's in process of writing. It expresses the electric shock of fear to the heart, body, and soul. • S2: E10 \ Fear of Imposter Syndrome | Life

Scrolling social media can sometimes cause one to feel horrible about themselves because it's easy to get swept up in self-doubt, professional doubt, and depression when looking at what other people are doing or how they portray to be living their lives. Imposter syndrome will trick us into believing others are doing extraordinary things and we're not. On this new episode with CEO of Lamik Beauty Kim Roxie, we discuss adopting the belief that not all of what you see is real and if it is, so what, we are all on our own paths and our own journey.

"When we're talking about looking at all these things and fearing that we're not where we're supposed to be compared to someone else, I have to check myself and remember that's not my calling and I should be rooting for that other person and be their biggest cheerleader," says Roxie. "In order for me to reveal the beauty of women, I've got to cleanse and detox on jealousy and envy everyday."

  • S2 : E4 \ Trauma Induced Fears | Life

Many of the fears we face as adults originated from childhood traumas, and if not dealt with, those fears can chase us for years. It's the topic of conversation in this episode with Catenya's cousin Mai Young. The four missed an entire school year and were later separated and placed in foster care. That trauma, along with many other traumatic incidents throughout her life has induced many of Mai's adult fears but with therapy, she's still learning to work through them in order to live fearlessly.
