In today’s episode, we take a deep and thoughtful look at the soul of man and how its condition affects our journey as believers. We say why certain addictions, strongholds, and patterns of sin can be so difficult to overcome, even after salvation (of our spirit), and how these struggles often originate in the state of the soul.
Drawing from Scripture, we see that the soul can be wounded, hardened, or misaligned, and that true freedom begins when God’s Word penetrates and renews it. As Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” It is through the Word that we gain clarity, direction, and the power to break strongholds that have held us captive.
We’ll also see why the renewal of the soul is essential, as Romans 12:2 calls us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind,” and how increasing in hunger and thirst for God’s Word, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:6, is a critical step toward lasting victory.
Join us as Pastor Israel unpacks how aligning the soul with God’s truth brings not only freedom from sin and death, but also a deeper intimacy with Him, opening the door to abundant life.
