Gallant Says

It's always fun to beat up on the Cowboys, even if they're a disaster this season. And the Texans defense sure bullied Cooper Rush and company. But what are we to make of C.J. Stroud and Houston's offense after this game? Are they back on the right track??

Texans fans have been frustrated with offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik for quite some time. On a day that the Chicago Bears fired their offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, should Houston consider the same move? Is ownership potentially thinking about it? Plus, are the misfortunes of other teams - specifically the Dallas Cowboys - making you feel better about where the Texans are? And, my week 11 NFL "Yellowstone" themed Power Tiers.

There was A LOT of buzz about a PLAYERS ONLY Texans team meeting after Houston's loss to the Jets last Thursday. From the sound of things, they had another one RIGHT AFTER the loss to the Lions...and might have ANOTHER one this week. Will that FINALLY get them back on track? Plus, my thoughts on everything said after last night's loss...including DeMeco Ryans & C.J. Stroud talking about the struggles on offense, what those two had to say about the play-calling on offense, and more!

There's lots of things to point at after yet another no show by the Texans in the second half. The offensive line, Bobby Slowik, hell even DeMeco Ryans. I mean, they were up 23-7 in a game where Jared Goff threw 5(!!!) interceptions. But this loss falls MOST at the feet of QB C.J. Stroud...

Given the recent struggles of the offensive line, shouldn't they have done more???

The Texans WR tore his ACL during the third quarter of Sunday's 23-20 W. Has he played his last snap for Houston? And was the trade a failure? Plus, some thoughts on the Colts benching Anthony Richardson for Joe Flacco AND someone who hasn't been going to work of late.

The Texans are 6-2, just swept their only real competition in the AFC South, and have yet to lose a game in conference. But between MORE offensive inconsistency, another serious injury, and the occasional defensive lapse, you've got to wonder if this team will ever put a complete game together.

WOOF. A WHOLE LOT of bad in this one. Where do the Texans go from here?

Yes, the Texans kept it close in spite of injury and lost at the final gun. But there's no moral Ws in the NFL. Houston lost Sunday because they were outcoached AND can't protect C.J. Stroud. A full breakdown of the Texans' 24 - 22 L in Green Bay, plus reaction to what was said after the game.

LOL, the New York Jets lost again. Why do their fans keep coming back for MORE punishment?? (1:13 - 7:49)

The Texans have a lot to clean up by season's end, but they're 5-1. How close are they to the league's best teams (the Chiefs, Vikings, Lions, & Ravens) through 6 weeks?? (7:57 - 20:14)

Plus, while the Texans are getting offseason acquisition DE/DT Denico Autry back from a 6 game PED suspension, they'll be losing DT Mario Edwards for 4 games after he violated the NFL's substance of abuse policy. How much will it hurt, and how exactly does that policy work? (28:50 - 38:00)
