June 12, 2026E75 | Madness in Mad Max and Star Wars: Jedi Knight IIThis week I touch briefly on the subject of madness in the world of Mad Max (https://store.steampowered.com/app/234140/Mad_Max/) and wonder if maybe Max is seen as mad, being the only sane person in a world of madness. I also talked a little bit about another one of my favorite games from years ago, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (https://store.steampowered.com/app/6030/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Knight_II__Jedi_Outcast/) and how it's designed just a little different from the games of today. Last but not least, I'm recommending the movie Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt30825738), which I enjoyed, even if I wish it had been a full season of the show. Got any thoughts to share about any of these things? Hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's chat about it! June 05, 2026E74 | Mad Max and Fable AnniversaryThe big focus for the month of June is Mad Max (https://store.steampowered.com/app/234140/Mad_Max/), which came out over 10 years ago now, but it's proving to be a pretty fun game so far! Also this week, I'm taking a look at one of my favorite games from years ago, Fable Anniversary (https://store.steampowered.com/app/288470/Fable_Anniversary/)! This is a fun, relatively simply action RPG that I highly recommend if you like medieval fantasy games. Also this week, I'm recommending the brand new Steam Controller (https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamcontroller) from Valve, which is a little hard to get your hands on, but it's worth it! A little disclaimer for this week: I am working with some new audio equipment, and I think I've got it dialed in, but let me know if it needs some further tweaks. As always, I'd love to chat about any of these things, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's have a conversation. May 29, 2026E73 | Familiarity in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Ratchet & Clank: Rift ApartThis week as we wrap up our time with the game, I'm talking about the way that familiarity with Star Wars and the prequel, Fallen Order, helps to enhance but not consume Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/). Also, I tried Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1895880/Ratchet__Clank_Rift_Apart/) for the first time and really enjoyed getting to go back to this series that I haven't played in a while. Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the software known as PrimeHack (https://metroid.fandom.com/wiki/PrimeHack) which lets players take their existing copies of the Metroid Prime games and take them to another level on modern hardware. As always, I'd love to chat about any of these things, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's have a conversation! May 22, 2026E72 | Detours in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Super Mario RPG RemakeThis week I'm talking about the ways that Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/) has players detour more extensively from the main path than Fallen Order did. I also tried out the 2023 Super Mario RPG Remake (https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/super-mario-rpg-switch/) for the Nintendo Switch, which ended up being more fun than I expected! Last but certainly not least, this week I'm recommending the fan decompilation project known as Dusklight (https://twilitrealm.dev/), which takes an existing copy of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and gives it a modern coat of paint! As always, I'd love to chat about any of these things, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's chat about it! May 15, 2026E71 | Improvements in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and MOTORSLICEThis week I wanted to take a look at some of the ways that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/) improves on its predecessor, with some very small and some larger changes made from Fallen Order. I also tried out MOTORSLICE (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2830030/MOTORSLICE/), which was recently released and combines some decent combat and parkour in a small game. Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the comedy crime show Psych (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0491738) which first aired 20 years ago! As always, I'd love to get your thoughts on any of these things, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's chat! May 08, 2026E70 | Connections in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and PragmataThis week I'm talking about some of the connections that are made between characters in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/) and contrasting it a little with the first game. I also tried the demo for Pragmata (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3357650/PRAGMATA/) and really enjoyed what I played of the game, even if it's an incomplete picture of the entire experience. Last but not least, this week I'm recommending Proxmox (https://www.proxmox.com/en/), which is great software for managing and creating virtual machines for homelab setups. (Yes, I am that nerd.) As always, I'd love to chat about any of the things that I talked about in this episode, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's have a conversation! May 01, 2026E69 | Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Legend of Zelda: Link's AwakeningFor the month of May I'll be playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/), which is the sequel to one of the games I most enjoyed playing last year. This will be fun! New this week is also Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (https://zelda.nintendo.com/links-awakening/) which is a beautiful remake of the 1993 Game Boy game. Classic Zelda gameplay, modern visual style! Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the book Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars (https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Jedi-Battle-Scars/dp/B0B9T79MCP) for fans of Fallen Order who want to get a look at events that connect the two Jedi games. As always, I'd love to have a conversation about any of the things I talked about in the podcast this week, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's chat! April 24, 2026E68 | Open world of Spider-Man and Final Fantasy XIII-2This week I'm wrapping up my time with Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1817070/Marvels_SpiderMan_Remastered/) and talking about the open world design of the game. Spoiler: it's great! This week I also tried out Final Fantasy XIII-2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/292140/FINAL_FANTASY_XIII2/) for the first time and enjoyed my time with it. Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the 2014 RoboCop (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1234721) movie, which I found to be a lot of fun. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on any of the things I talked about in this episode, so hit me up and let's chat about it on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)! April 17, 2026E67 | Movement in Spider-Man and RoboCop: Rogue CityFirst up this week, I'm talking about movement in Spider-Man (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1817070/Marvels_SpiderMan_Remastered/) and how Insomniac captured the character so well! I also tried recent RoboCop: Rogue City (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1681430/RoboCop_Rogue_City/), which did a great job of capturing the feeling of being RoboCop. Last but not least, I'm recommending the new The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt28650488). As always, I'd love to get your feedback on any of the things I talked about in this episode, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's talk about it! April 10, 2026E66 | Upgrades in Spider-Man and Grim Fandango RemasteredThis week I'm talking about the upgrades found in Spider-Man (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1817070/Marvels_SpiderMan_Remastered/) and how they relate to Spidey as a character. I also got kind of lost in the 2015 remaster of the classic 1998 adventure game Grim Fandango (https://store.steampowered.com/app/316790/Grim_Fandango_Remastered/). Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the book Empire of Silence (https://a.co/d/0eCczCYc) by Christopher Ruocchio, which I think fans of Dune will like. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on any of these things, so hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's have a conversation!
