This week wraps up our time with Cyberpunk 2077 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1091500/Cyberpunk_2077/), and I decided I wanted to talk a little bit about the life that can be found in the game. This stands very much in contrast with The Ascent (https://store.steampowered.com/app/979690/The_Ascent/), which feels much less full of life! This week I'm talking about the level of opportunity found in Cyberpunk 2077 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1091500/Cyberpunk_2077/) and the way they structure access to their missions, which reminded me of Metroid, actually! I also finally got around to playing Republique (https://store.steampowered.com/app/317100/Republique/) after having backed it on Kickstarter in 2012! New this week is Hacknet (https://store.steampowered.com/app/365450/Hacknet/), which also has some pretty good music, but maybe feels a little like work? This week I spent some time talking about the characters in Cyberpunk 2077 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1091500/Cyberpunk_2077/) and how memorable and unique they are. I also tried out Atomic Heart (https://store.steampowered.com/app/668580/Atomic_Heart/) for the first time and found it to be similar in many ways to Bioshock! Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the series The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin (https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B0HFH7J5N3), which is a pretty solid adaptation of a book series that I really liked from author Stephen Lawhead. The big game for the month of October is Cyberpunk 2077 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1091500/Cyberpunk_2077/) and I'm already really enjoying getting back into this game after not playing it for years! New this week is Replaced (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1663850/REPLACED/), which is a gorgeous pixel-art 2.5D action platformer that I highly recommend. It's been a real treat so far! Last but not least, this week I'm going to recommend the daily web game Wordle (https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html) for anyone who enjoys word games and puzzles.
