Welcome to the month of April, where the big focus this month is Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1817070/Marvels_SpiderMan_Remastered/)! It's amazing, truly spectacular, and sensational, and I'm excited to play more of it this coming month. This week I also got to try out the brand new Crimson Desert (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3321460/Crimson_Desert/), and while it's a little rough around the edges, it's one that I think will probably be a really great game in time. Last but not least, in honor of the sequel coming out next week, I'm recommending The Super Mario Bros Movie (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6718170) for fans of Mario and everyone who likes fun. This week as I'm wrapping up my time with God of War (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593500/God_of_War/), I'm talking about the way that spectacle is all over the game. I also played Elite Dangerous (https://store.steampowered.com/app/359320/Elite_Dangerous/) this week and got to experience a top-quality space-sim where freedom to determine how you want to play is absolute. Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the show Firefly (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303461) from 2002, which is great, but also getting an animated sequel series?! First up this week, I'm talking about the physicality found in God of War (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593500/God_of_War/) and how it grounds the world and tells us about the characters found in it. I also played Pokémon Fire Red (https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/english-pokemon-firered-version-switch/) for the first time this week and really enjoyed my time going back to what may be the best version of this classic game. Last but not least, I'd like to recommend the show For All Mankind (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7772588) which is a great alt-history science fiction show! This week I took a closer look at what I think is the heart of the 2018 God of War (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593500/God_of_War/) based on some early interactions in the game. I also played in the server slam event for Marathon (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3065800/Marathon/) to try out Bungie's latest shooter. This week I'm also recommending the excellent book Project Hail Mary (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/54493401-project-hail-mary) from author Andy Weir. This week I wrap up my time with Sea of Stars (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1244090/Sea_of_Stars/) by looking at a variety of different systems found within the game. I also tried out The Stanley Parable (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1703340/The_Stanley_Parable_Ultra_Deluxe/) for the first time and found it to be surreal and a lot of fun! I'm also going to recommend the TV show Tacoma FD (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8026448) this week, which is a fun Broken Lizard comedy set in a fire station. This week I take my first steps into the popular retro indie JRPG Sea of Stars (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1244090/Sea_of_Stars/), and so far I'm enjoying it! I also played - and finished! - A Short Hike (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1055540/A_Short_Hike/), which is a really nice and relaxing short game. Last but not least, I'm going to recommend the YouTube channel New Frame Plus (https://www.youtube.com/@NewFramePlus) for an excellent breakdown of game animation and as a good resource for learning about it. I also played The Expanse: A Telltale Series (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1708010/The_Expanse_A_Telltale_Series/) and found it to be really enjoyable and engaging as a fan of the show! Last but not least, I'm recommending the show Silo (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14688458) on Apple TV this week - a really good sci-fi dystopian drama that has lots of fun mystery in it.
