Game Club

This week I'm talking about the unexpected in Titanfall 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1237970/Titanfall_2/) and how much it elevated the entire experience of the game. Brand new this week is Wild Blue Skies (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1921490/Wild_Blue_Skies/), which is a new indie shooter game that feels a little too much like Star Fox 64. Last but not least, this week I'm giving two recommendations! First up is the beloved series Avatar: The Last Airbender (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417299), followed by the sequel movie that just came out, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt18259538). Both are great and worth watching! This week I also tried Palworld (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623730/Palworld/) for the first time and found there's a lot more to it than the coverage of it has suggested! Titanfall 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1237970/Titanfall_2/) is the big focus for the month, and it's one of my favorites of the last decade, so I'm really looking forward to playing through the game this month! Also this week, I got to play Halo: Campaign Evolved (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2806050/Halo_Campaign_Evolved/), which is the brand new remake of one of my favorite games ever! This week I talk about the idea of redemption in Red Dead Redemption 2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1174180/Red_Dead_Redemption_2/) and how it does not seem to be present in my time with the game. This week I also got to play the fantastic Marvel Cosmic Invasion (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2753970/MARVEL_Cosmic_Invasion/), and any Marvel or Beat 'Em Up fans really ought to give it a try! This week I spent a little bit of time talking about the honor system found in RDR2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1174180/Red_Dead_Redemption_2/) and how it reminds me of GTA 4. The brand new game this week is called Roguebook (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1076200/Roguebook/), which is a combination rogue-like and deckbuilder. Never would have guessed how much I enjoy this game! This week I'm playing some more of RDR2 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1174180/Red_Dead_Redemption_2/) and enjoying the complexity of the world and the characters that inhabit it. I also got to play the PC version of The Serpent & The Seed (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3838400/The_Serpent__The_Seed/), an excellent little game developed by my friend Andy Geers that explores various stories from the Bible. Last but not least, this week I'm recommending the Linux distro CachyOS (https://cachyos.org/) for a more gaming-focused version of Linux that has the option to give you a pretty Steam OS-like experience. This week we're kicking off the month of July with the big game for the month, Red Dead Redemption II (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1174180/Red_Dead_Redemption_2/). This is one of the best-selling games of all time, and I'm looking forward to spending some more time with it. So far, it's good! Also this week is Star Fox (https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/star-fox-switch-2/), the remake of the 1997 N64 classic. This one is also quite good, especially as a fan of the original game!
