Game Club

This week I played two very different games from Ubisoft. First, the lackluster Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (https://store.steampowered.com/app/13500/Prince_of_Persia_Warrior_Within/) followed by the pretty solid Star Wars: Outlaws (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2842040/Star_Wars_Outlaws/). Definitely playing more Outlaws, maybe not Warrior Within! Finally I recommend the demo for the upcoming game Jump Ship (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2841820/Jump_Ship_Demo/)! As always, I'd love to have a conversation about these games, just hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and we'll go from there!

Wrapping up this month long celebration of my favorite games, this week I played Age of Empires (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1017900/Age_of_Empires_Definitive_Edition/) and Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (https://www.gog.com/en/game/star_trek_voyager_elite_force)! These are a couple of my earliest and most favorite games. I also recommend the new Mario Kart World (https://www.nintendo.com/us/gaming-systems/switch-2/featured-games/mario-kart-world/) which just came out with the Switch 2. Hit me up on X and lets talk about these games or some of your all-time favorites (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

This week I played two more of my favorite games of all time, Mass Effect (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1328670/Mass_Effect_Legendary_Edition/) and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (https://store.steampowered.com/app/13600/Prince_of_Persia_The_Sands_of_Time/)! Some really great games, in some of my favorite series ever. I also recommend the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time movie (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0473075), though that may be more for PoP fans than anyone else. Hit me up on X and let's have a conversation about it (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

This week I got to play two classic games on the Switch 2! Metroid: Zero Mission (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metroid:_Zero_Mission) and Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Wind_Waker) are both over 20 years old, but still great games. Lastly, this week I'm recommending the new Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning movie (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9603208). Pretty typical Tom Cruise action flick, but it's well done. Tell me about your experiences with these games and movie over on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

I also recommend the new Karate Kid Legends movie (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1674782), which is a lot of fun if you're a fan of the series! This week I played some more of Doom: The Dark Ages (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3017860/DOOM_The_Dark_Ages/) as well as tried out Sunset Overdrive (https://store.steampowered.com/app/847370/Sunset_Overdrive/) for the first time. Last but not least, I recommend the 2024 version of Ultimate Spider-Man (https://www.marvel.com/comics/series/38809/ultimate_spiderman_2024_present)! Also, in June, to celebrate six months of the podcast, I'll be playing through some of my favorite games of all time. Make sure to join me for the ride! As always, if you want to talk about any of this stuff, you can hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

This week I played some more of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2677660/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Great_Circle/) and tried out the new Doom: The Dark Ages (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3017860/DOOM_The_Dark_Ages/), and I'm enjoying my time with both of them. This week I also recommend Digital Foundry (https://www.youtube.com/@DigitalFoundry) for their in-depth analysis of the technology that powers the games we love. If you'd like to share your own experiences with these games or tell me about another DF-like, hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and we can have a conversation!

This week I continue my adventure with Expedition 33 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1903340/Clair_Obscur_Expedition_33/) as well as begin an all-new one with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2677660/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Great_Circle/)! It's been a great week for gaming over here. Finally, I recommend the YouTube channel for Razbuten (https://www.youtube.com/@razbuten) where you can go for some interesting and unique video game analysis. As always, if you want to talk about these things I'd love to have a conversation over on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

This week I continued to play the Oblivion remaster (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2623190/The_Elder_Scrolls_IV_Oblivion_Remastered/) in a couple of different ways as well as tried out the new Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1903340/Clair_Obscur_Expedition_33/). My recommendation for the week is another YouTube craftsman, Jesse Hu (https://www.youtube.com/@jhublades), who makes some very impressive blades. As always, I'd love to have a conversation about any of these things over on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

This week I played a bit more of Baldur's Gate 3 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1086940/Baldurs_Gate_3/) and decided maybe it's just not going to be a big deal for me. I also played the fantastic Oblivion Remastered (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2623190/The_Elder_Scrolls_IV_Oblivion_Remastered/) and poured a bunch of time into it. Lastly, because it's the only way I could play the remaster, I recommend Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass). As always, hit me up on X and we'll talk about all of it (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!
