Game Club

This week I played some more Baldur's Gate 3 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1086940/Baldurs_Gate_3/) as well as The Bard's Tale (https://store.steampowered.com/app/41900/The_Bards_Tale_ARPG_Remastered_and_Resnarkled/) and found that playing a bard in either game was not easy! I'm also recommending the book The Icarus Hunt by Timothy Zahn (https://www.amazon.com/Icarus-Hunt-Novel-Timothy-Zahn/dp/0553573918) which is an old favorite of mine. As always, I'd love to have a conversation with you about these things over on X! (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)

This week I completed the storyline for the Undermine patch in WoW (https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/) and finally tried Baldur's Gate 3 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1086940/Baldurs_Gate_3/)! Pro tip: use a controller. Lastly, this week I'm recommending Blake McFarland Sculptures' YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@BMSculptures), where you can watch Blake carve all kinds of things, like a giant T-Rex skull! As always, hit me up on X if you want to have a conversation about these things (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

This week I've continued to enjoy the Dark Forces Remaster (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2292260/STAR_WARS_Dark_Forces_Remaster/) as well as try out the very unique Pentiment (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1205520/Pentiment/). Lastly, if you're a nerd about numbers like I can be, I recommend the SteamDB (https://steamdb.info/) website for all kinds of Steam game data. Let me know what you use it for, or tell me about your experience with these games on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

It's a big week for gamers with the reveal of tons of information about the Nintendo Switch 2 (https://youtu.be/VrTVeYm4iIM?si=IIx9zb6onKT7HlHI)! Some really cool stuff, some high prices, and at least one headscratcher. Also this week, I started the Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2292260/STAR_WARS_Dark_Forces_Remaster/). This is a really well done remaster of a classic Star Wars FPS that I think a lot of people will like. Lastly, I recommend the recently released book "Experience Jesus. Really." by author John Eldredge (https://www.amazon.com/Experience-Jesus-Really-Strength-Encounters/dp/1400208653) which has some great thoughts on how to deepen your relationship with Jesus in a time when that's not always easy. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on these things and more over on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod). Hit me up and let's chat!

This week I revisited Immortals of Aveum (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2009100/Immortals_of_Aveum/) after trying it for the first time in January (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-4-marvel-rivals-and-immortals-of-aveum/id1789886772?i=1000687379813) and was unexpectedly gifted Repo (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3241660/REPO/), which turned out to be a lot more fun than I would have guessed. I also recommend the original Daredevil series from 2015 (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3322312), which I'm watching again in anticipation of the new series that just started. If you'd like to talk about any of these things (or more!) hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod) and let's chat about it!

This week I also recommend the classic Justice League (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275137/) and Justice League Unlimited (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6025022) cartoons from the early 2000s. Have any thoughts on these to share? Hit me up on X (https://x.com/Game_Club_Pod)!

I also tried out Portal Revolution (https://store.steampowered.com/app/601360/Portal_Revolution/), which is another mod for Portal 2. Lastly, I want to recommend the latest podcast from Wild at Heart (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/e811-take-the-next-step/id260843816?i=1000692964408) which gives a good overview of the ministry and talks about some of their new resources at their website (https://wildatheart.org/).
