We were fortunate to be joined by John de Lancie, Q from Star Trek, and many other film and TV roles, including Breaking Bad. The SAG-AFTRA strike was called about a week prior to when we recorded this episode, so in a rare sit down conversation, we don't ask John about his work in film and television.

Instead, we discuss the strike, boredom, staying in a state of creating, John’s fascination with new discoveries in science, school, dyslexia, questioning religion, following your own fantasy, the wonders of sailing and his 52 day voyage on the sea, and we ask John where he sees the world heading. We really delved into some deeper lines of thinking in this episode with John!

Dilruk Jayasinha drops by the studio! This was a very special episode for a few reasons. Dan first saw Dilruk perform in a Games Room with a moth problem at ACMI 9 years ago and he and his Mum have never missed a Dilruk stand up show since. There's an odd sense of an achievement having seen Dilruk before he became the superstar he is today and being there more or less right at the birth of Dil's career as a comedian. Seeing Dilruk's strengths as a comedian grow from year to year, where each show is better than the last is quite rewarding to see as an audience member who has stuck with DIl right from the beginning.

Harman saw Dilruk perform for the very first time this year on Dan's recommendation, and he is now Harman's favourite comedian! Success!

Ben is a school teacher, an actor, a comedian, a Viking, best mates with Chris Hemsworth, and recent recipient of a hair transplant. This was such a fun recording!
