Over the first 100 days of the Trump administration, the US Department of Government Efficiency banged the drum of rooting out waste, fraud and abuse across federal programs. At the same time, the White House wants agencies to reduce their budgets and the workforces of the organizations that typically lead those efforts. Federal News Network executive editor Jason Miller joins me to discuss how two of these agencies, the GAO and the postal services Inspector General, made their cases to Congress for more funding to better address waste, fraud and abuse.
