LIES from the US

Fuel Prices - Aggregated average for each American - extra costs since Feb 28:

Trump claimed that the US shot down all of the airborne attacks launched by Iran in response to his attacks (that killed people in a wedding party, lest we momentarily forget). That was not true. Nimah Alkhorshid and Matt Hoh explore this reality, and then, stick with it, of course, because they observe the absolutely stunning pass-of-the-buck by Speaker Johnson. The two cuts are items I had isolated myself today, but the wraparound by Nima and Matt is so valuable, I want to give them credit and show their observations.

Marco Rubio deflected when asked about the US depleting highly expensive interceptors each time Iran launches relatively inexpensive (and swiftly replaced) drones. Nima Alkhorshid and Anthony Aguilar discuss this, right at the outset of Nima’s conversation with Anthony today. From there, Anthony — as he often does — offers key insights into the geography/topography and tactical challenges on the ground. If you watch the first 12 minutes of this, you will be reminded of why gentlemen such as these are seen by so many as being such valuable information assets to peace advocates.

Anthony also delves into the reality facing many Gulf nations: that the presence of US bases in their land makes them targets when the US engages in aggression from those bases. He sounds another note of wisdom in predicting that Iraqis will expel the US.

For example, Iran responded to Trump’s most recent attacks by retaliating against US forces in Jordan (among other locations). But the US tried to hide that reality. This is leading to a lot of stress and shakeups in the DoD. Anthony offers more key information on the resignations and battles with Hegseth.

No shocker to see another public statement reiterating this… they want to finish their ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

And Matt Hoh echoes sentiment we’ve mentioned on Liberty Conspiracy regarding the shift of the Euro hierarchy to try to prolong their power and fascist money-making shelf-life by making Ukraine their ready-always consumer of arms. Matt also notes that Trump is surrounded by people who seem to have this same mentality and Trump might start seeing Russia’s alliance and friendliness with Iran as a reason to begin helping Ukraine prolong the war and, of course, see more Ukrainians die. I want to stress that I think that the worse the US and EU economies become, the more likely it is that their fascist tendencies will lean on Military Keynesianism, attempting to fake productivity and GDP numbers by shoveling a bunch of central-bank created money into arms making. As long as nations have central banks, their war-states will be funded, regardless of the damage that inflated system does to the civilian living standard.

So, in February, Trump announced that he, in his great imperial glory, is allowing 100K metric tonnes of beef to come to the US duty-free. (The 300K MT we recently heard him mention, based on my research, appears to NOT be coming from Argentina, despite many claims and my initial belief and even what Trump implied on AF One last week when a reporter asked him about it). The new 300,000 metric ton quota of lean beef trimmings (the one opening in three 100,000 MT monthly tranches starting September 1, 2026) is reserved for “other countries or areas.” It does not apply to Argentina.Argentina already has its own separate country-specific allocation of 100,000 MT for 2026 (the original 20,000 MT WTO quota plus the extra 80,000 MT of lean trimmings granted in February). The August proclamation states that the new 300,000 MT volume does not change or add to Argentina’s existing quota. The same exclusion applies to Uruguay, Australia, and New Zealand.
Trump ALSO BAILED OUT ARGENTINA last year… Let’s remember key points: A $20 billion currency-swap facility announced in October 2025 through the Treasury’s unconstitutional, debt-adding, Exchange Stabilization Fund. Argentina drew on $2.5 billion of it. The country purportedly repaid that by late 2025 / early January 2026, and the U.S. reported a profit of tens of millions of dollars, without providing any evidence.
The U.S. Treasury also bought Argentine pesos directly in the market (reports mention hundreds of millions of dollars, including about $400 million in one period) and provided roughly $872 million in related IMF-reserve support.
Yet… What a shock

Texas recently saw a bill passed that will allow people to connect to a “depository” then draw what are seen as tradeable digits based on the gold deposits. “Texas Embraces Gold and Silver for Everyday Payments | Arabian Post” LINK It’s not exactly a gold-money free-market exchange system. Instead, it sees the state of TX position itself as overseer and “partner”. LINK
Texas Bullion Depository — Latest News and Developments

The Texas Bullion Depository (TxBD), the nation’s first state-administered precious metals vault, continues to expand its services and prepare for major legislative changes. As reported in July, last year, Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock visited TxBD in Leander to see operations firsthand and discuss new services. The depository is ready to hold precious metal IRA assets through a private-sector partnership” (i.e. fascism - freedom does not exist in “partnership” with the polis) with Lone Star Tangible Assets and Equity Trust Co., offering a “secure, state-administered option for retirement investors” LINK

This begins operations in May, 2027…
The concept of TxBD was part of House Bill 1056 (though the actual establishment of it was in another statute, HB 483, of 2015), signed by Gov. Greg Abbott in June of 2025, and the statute will allow Texans to use gold and silver bullion stored at TxBD for everyday purchases starting May 1, 2027. Transactions will be processed via a debit card or mobile app, with the Texas Comptroller setting the metal-to-dollar exchange rate at the time of each purchase Arabian Post+1. This makes Texas the first state to operationalize gold and silver for daily commerce on this scale.
Background and facilities
Under HB 483, TxBD is an official agency of the Texas Comptroller, operated by a politically selected private entity (Lone Star Tangible Assets and Equity Trust Co). It began accepting deposits in 2018 and completed a 40,000-square-foot facility in 2019 on a 10-acre campus in Leander, just north of Austin (Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts+1)
TX political pushers of this fascist depository claim it will become a hub for both retirement metal storage and state-backed precious metal transactions, aligning with Texas’s broader push for financial sovereignty and alternative currency systems, including a state strategic bitcoin reserve Arabian Post. But let’s perceive some deeper points that belie the glowing rhetoric.
Sooo… Texas now invites residents to lodge gold and silver in the state Bullion Depository at Leander and spend it by debit card. House Bill 1056, enacted in June 2025, recognizes qualifying specie as legal tender beginning September 1, 2026, and authorizes an electronic currency backed by depository metal from May 1, 2027.
BUUUT…. The TX Comptroller will set the metal-to-dollar ratio at each transaction. That last clause is the danger. The same office that holds the bars also prices them. A modest official premium would inflate the paper value of metal already in state custody and of any reserves the state itself reports. Control of both warehouse and price list is how a government can mark up its books without buying an ounce. Confiscation need not look like 1933. It can arrive as an emergency valuation, a freeze, a conversion fee, or a rule that depositors may withdraw only dollars at the state’s rate. Optional acceptance today does not bind a future legislature. Metal in a private safe is yours. Metal in a state vault, priced by the state, is a political asset.

Officials call the operation less visible than earlier city-by-city raids, yet it still sweeps through workplaces, airports, and check-ins. Prior data showed a majority of recent arrestees had no criminal convictions—only civil status issues. This quota-driven policing continues to separate families and remove workers who sustain construction, hospitality, and service industries, instilling fear rather than focusing resources on genuine threats to public safety. Bel had asked ICE twice to remove the device so he could play soccer. Ending humanitarian protections and electronically tagging students who pose no danger turns immigration enforcement into a source of despair rather than justice. Administration Targets Immigrant Truck Drivers in New Crackdown:
Federal officials announced an intensified unconstitutional campaign against non-native commercial truck drivers, shutting nearly 300 training schools and demanding state licensing data in a hunt for immigrants they claim hold improper credentials. Curiously, that runs not only contrary to the fact that truck licensing and the federal government have no connection on the Constitutional Venn Diagram, but it also shows us that the US is demanding information on these people, sans WARRANTS, which is prohibited by the 4th A.
Transportation and Homeland Security secretaries framed the effort as a safety measure after citing crashes involving unauthorized drivers. Yet, as I reported many months ago, non-native-born drivers are MANY times safer than “‘Merican” drivers, re both fatal and non-fatal crashes. The most detailed available comparison comes from a California DMV analysis of 2022–2024 police-reported crashes among licensed CDL holders:

• U.S.-citizen CDL holders: 14.8 total crashes and 0.123 fatal crashes per 100 licensed drivers.

• Temporary-resident legal immigrants with CDLs: 11.9 total crashes and 0.092 fatal crashes per 100 licensed drivers.

That equates to roughly 20 percent fewer overall crashes and 25 percent fewer fatal crashes for the immigrant group on a per-license basis. The same pattern held for injury crashes. Someone might want to mention that to the Transportation Sec or Homan.

The US attacked Iran again last night… This comes after Trump claimed that the US had beaten Iran. Iran struck back on US sites in Jordan.

And Netanyahu brags about his ability to get the US to attack Iran.

And as Trump does that, and increases his fake number of “protesters” who have died in Iran (many of the people killed in the “protests” were backed by Mossad and the CIA), he has the gall to push for “war crimes” prosecution for the Iranian victims of his aggression. That, after he and his Admin “sanctioned” (economically stole from, economically blocked) many members of the ICC leadership.

Today in Istanbul, foreign and defense ministers and military chiefs from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan held the first meeting of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement’s Strategic Political and Defense Committee. They discussed joint production, force interoperability, a secretariat, and a roadmap to implement the “attack on one is an attack on all” pledge signed in Mecca on 7 August. LINK This session advances overdue regional self-reliance. After decades as a theater for U.S. strategy and Israeli military dominance, the three nations are forging complementary capabilities of their own. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called the pact defensive, complementary to NATO, and open to expansion, while labeling Netanyahu an enemy of humanity. The Mecca Accord is a concrete step toward genuine Middle East autonomy. LINK This morning, Nima Alkhorshid welcomed Former Swiss Col Jacques Baud (himself a victim of EU economic attacks due to his clear reporting on the US/NATO/EU influence on Ukraine), and Jacques offered some key insights into the meeting and how it appears to be a defensive posture against Israel, especially due to recent Israeli claims to take over Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa mosque.

The mosque area is actually 35 sq acres, and the Israelis already claim control over part of it, but not the interior of the mosque, which is supposed to be protected by international agreement. (As if that has done anything except allow Israel to expand). Key to keep in mind:

• Jewish visits have risen sharply (tens of thousands per year).

• Police have increasingly tolerated Jewish prayer, singing, and even prostration.

• National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and other ministers have visited, declared “the Temple Mount is in our hands,” and said Jews should be allowed to pray there.

• Some Knesset members and Temple activist groups openly call for removing the Islamic buildings and building a Third Temple.

The feds should not be sending any money anywhere, and to create this focus is another indication of who butters the DC bread. Boycotting is a form of speech and a choice NOT to associate, which is part of the principle of freedom to associate (or not to associate). Of course, statism is forced association, at the outset, so there is a long-term lesson in that…

Trump Sunday claimed that the US has “made a deal” with VZ, and it comes in two parts. First, the US will be taking 35% of VZ oil sales funneled through a private company. Here is what Drop Site notes about the new colonialism/fascism:
—The Trump administration plans to take a 35% passive stake in North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP), the private company at the center of its new Venezuela oil deal, the Wall Street Journal reports. Washington would also get preferential rights to buy 20% of its production at cost.

➤ The Pentagon’s Office of Strategic Capital would use warrants to give the U.S. equity without a major upfront investment. The Financial Times reports it would also provide guarantees to reduce risks for companies developing the fields.

➤ NABEP would gain access to 17 oilfields containing more than 65 billion barrels, about one-fifth of Venezuela’s reserves, and could license fields or form joint ventures with other investors.

➤ NABEP is led by Alejandro Betancourt, a wealthy, politically connected Venezuelan businessman whom the Financial Times describes as one of the country’s most prominent “Bolichicos,” the class of magnates who accumulated fortunes through ties to governments that emerged under Hugo Chávez.

➤ Betancourt built his fortune through no-bid electricity contracts before expanding into deals connected to state oil company PDVSA; NABEP now produces about 200,000 barrels a day, making it Venezuela’s second-largest private oil producer after Chevron. He and his companies have been investigated in Spain and Switzerland over alleged money laundering and embezzlement, but he has not been charged and denies wrongdoing, according to the FT.

The Pres also said that the US will be “refilling” the “Strategic Oil Reserves” using oil from VZ. As I noted Sunday on X, the VZ oil literally is not useful to fill the reserves. It is too sulfur-heavy. Official DOE requirements limit sour crude to max 1.99% sulfur and 30-45° API gravity; Venezuelan Orinoco grades often reach 2-5.7% sulfur, 8-16° API, high acidity (TAN often >1.0), and extreme viscosity, risking cavern corrosion, sludge, and unpumpable storage.

Then there is the length of time to get the machines operating properly, and the security required…

The Trump-GOP is ramping up the rhetoric to convince as many people as possible that the economy is grrrrreat… As Frank Zappa might say, “Okay, fine. Fer-sure, fer-sure…”

And here, he seems to be threatening to cut off trade with Switzerland, claiming that eliminating the opportunity to buy their exports would make US residents wealthier… We kid you not!

Emmer simply lies. And he does it repeatedly, in less than 1.5 minutes.

Wages are not rising faster than they have in decades. IN fact, Emmer, as Stephen Moore did not do two weeks ago, does not include the rising number of unemployed or those no longer looking for work. Additionally, even for those employed, their wages are not keeping up with price inflation. BLS average hourly earnings for all private employees were about $37.62 in July 2026, up 3.2% from a year earlier. That is ordinary mid-cycle nominal growth, not an outlier by historical standards. Nominal wage growth was often higher in the 1970s–80s. After inflation, the picture is weaker. Real average hourly earnings for all employees fell 0.2% from July 2025 to July 2026. For production and nonsupervisory workers—about four-fifths of the private workforce, and a closer proxy for typical pay—real hourly earnings fell 0.1% over the same year. Real weekly earnings were roughly flat to slightly up only because hours ticked higher. The Atlanta Fed’s Wage Growth Tracker, which follows the same people’s pay 12 months apart and reports the median change, was 3.8% in July 2026. That is a modest real gain for people who stayed employed, once you subtract inflation in the mid-3% range. It is not “faster than in decades.” LINK

The CENTRAL BANK-FASCIST ECONOMY - WINNERS

This is the 26th annual meeting, and it is a big deal. Iran’s President is there, and this series of meetings will see major economic agreements and an acceleration of a BRICS-like push away from the collapsing Dollar. Pepe Escobar told Danny Heiphong today that the nations will announce a new SCO Development Bank, which will run parallel to the NDB (the BRICS Bank). It will delink third-world nations from the Dollar.

Trump now is attacking NBC and threatening to have the FCC pull the license that the FCC should not be issuing because the FCC is not sanctioned by the US Constitution and, even if it were, no one has a right to demand that you pay for a “broadcast licensing bureau” that will police speech. “Trump’s answer to bad press? “FCC TO THE RESCUE!” - Salon.com” LINK
-Recall, of course, the US attack on Disney-ABC, by pushing closer the deadline for FCC license re-approval, meaning new costs for the stations and the larger corporation. LINK An Aug. 31 USA TODAY piece reviews the broader FCC-ABC fight and its potential impact on broadcasting, noting the early-renewal order and ABC’s lawsuit but not a new Trump quote from the prior 72 hours.

ANOTHER facet of the feds getting into the act. In this case, they are claiming to stop foreign governments from attacking the speech of US citizens, yet the US DC GOP and Most Dems in DC want to censor Americans and others who speak up against Israel on college campuses and they want to label as “antisemitic” anyone who criticizes the nation-state of Israel. And then there is the KOSA… almost passed. The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) requires platforms to exercise a “duty of care” toward minors by mitigating designs and content tied to harms like self-harm, eating disorders, and anxiety, plus default high-privacy settings and parental controls. It clashes with the First Amendment’s wording that “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech.” The duty deputizes platforms to suppress lawful speech on government-defined “harmful” topics—a content-based restriction. Age-gating also burdens adults’ and minors’ rights to receive information anonymously. As of late August 2026, the House passed a weaker KIDS Act package (KOSA without duty of care) on June 29. The Senate Commerce Committee advanced stronger S.1748 on August 5; it awaits a full Senate vote amid House-Senate deadlock.

ICE Goon commander Tom Homan (he who once worked for Geo Group, the private prison corporation often hired by ICE to cage its kidnap victims) is not a fool. Over the weekend, he appeared on CNN to claim that ICE and the Border goons had NOT arrested kids and parents in schools and not arrested people in churches. Of course, truthful people know that these are kidnappings, not arrests. They are under color of law, not Natural Law (the state always stands in opposition to Natural Law), and Homan likely is well aware of the fact that his gangs have kidnapped people on the WAY to school, and just outside churches. Here is an info-graphic vid noting his claim:

Homan keeps saying ICE has not arrested anyone inside a church, hospital, or elementary school. That wording matters. If you suspected he was parsing, trying to skirt by saying his opponents had accused him of certain egregious acts (acts that actually were NOT the accusations), then using his own straw dogs to pretend at innocence, you are spot-on. We have seen NUMEROUS ICE kidnappings in parking lots, drop-off lines, bus stops, and people on the way to church or school.

Let’s go back a few months…
In February 2026, during the Minnesota surge, Homan said ICE had not arrested anyone inside a hospital, school, or church, and challenged critics to produce a case. He also said those places are “not off the table” for a public-safety or national-security target. Then, yesterday, after Sen. Chris Murphy on the 26th said ICE was arresting parents at Danbury, Connecticut bus stops,

…Homan told CNN he was “not aware” of bus-stop arrests, repeated the “no one inside an elementary school / hospital / church” line, and said there is no safe harbor for people with removal orders, especially criminals or “national-security threats” (that lovely play-doh term). LINK

Context: on January 21, 2025, DHS revoked the old “sensitive locations” guidance that had generally steered ICE and Border Patrol away from schools, churches, and hospitals. Officials said agents should use “common sense,” and that criminals would no longer be able to hide in those places.

Some items to mention to Homan
1. Kidnappings in church parking lots and church grounds: yes. There is a substantial public record of ICE or other DHS officers detaining people on church property, in church parking lots, or immediately outside churches, especially after the policy change. Documented examples:

• Tucker, Georgia (Jan. 26, 2025): Wilson Velásquez was in Sunday service at Iglesia Fuente de Vida when his ankle monitor went off. He went outside; agents were waiting and arrested him in the parking lot / outside the church. This is widely described as the first high-profile church-adjacent arrest of the second Trump term. He was not taken from a pew.

• Downey, California (June 2025): Armed, masked officers detained a man in the parking lot of Downey Memorial Christian Church; a pastor said agents pointed a long gun at him.

• San Bernardino County, California (June 20, 2025): Officers detained a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes in Montclair on church property. Separate agents chased men onto the parking lot of St. Adelaide in Highland. DHS said the Montclair case began as a traffic stop and the man pulled into the church lot; it denied agents entered the church hall.

• Other complaint filings and reporting list arrests outside churches in Oregon, Washington state (family leaving Sunday services, surrounded in the parking lot), Los Angeles-area church fronts, and a grandfather dropping a child at a church school.

National Catholic Reporter and later summaries have said DHS had not, as of late 2025, been shown to raid a church building during worship, but agents had arrested people on or near church property in multiple cases. So: “in churches” in the everyday sense of church grounds / leaving church / parking lot — you are largely correct. “Inside the sanctuary during worship” — Homan’s narrow wording still mostly holds in public reporting.Related but different: in 2026, church plaintiffs alleged an undercover ICE agent entered University Baptist Church in Minneapolis and recorded a class in the gym. A judge has treated that as possible violation of an injunction covering certain houses of worship. That is entry and surveillance, not a public immigration arrest of a congregant in the pews.

2. ICE KIDNAPPING PEOPLE at school parking lots, drop-off, pickup, bus stops, and “on the way”? Yes. And this what the parental-arrest / “terrorize little kids” debate is actually about. Examples:

• Chula Vista, California (Aug. 2025): Parent arrested on a public roadway near Camarena Elementary during morning drop-off.

• Linda Vista Elementary, San Diego (Aug. 2025): Father waiting nearby to pick up his son arrested just before dismissal. DHS said he pulled into a lot and was wanted for Social Security fraud / removal.

• Ann Arbor, Michigan (Sept. 2025): Father detained after elementary drop-off; witnesses said agents cut off his car nearby.

• Charlotte, North Carolina (May 2025): Parent detained near a magnet school drop-off line, children in the car according to parents/PTA.

• Beaverton, Oregon (July 2025): Father driving a child to preschool; ICE allowed him to go to the lot, then broke a car window to arrest him in front of families. ICE said he resisted after a traffic stop.

• Portland, Maine: ICE said it arrested a parent after watching him drop a child at school; the man had a prior domestic-violence charge.

• Baltimore (June 2026): Two parents detained at/near Commodore John Rodgers Elementary/Middle during drop-off; school said the arrests were on campus. Video showed a woman taken from a car in a school parking lot as children were nearby.

• Crystal, Minnesota: Parent arrested while waiting at a school bus stop with a child; principal said students at the stop and on the bus may have seen it.

• Bridgeport, Connecticut (May 2026): Father arrested at a bus stop while waiting with his 16-year-old; ICE said the student was not detained and officers waited until the mother arrived.

• Minneapolis suburbs: A 10-year-old and her mother were intercepted on the way to a bus stop and sent to a Texas family detention center. DHS said it does not target children or schools and “keeps families together.”

• Columbia Heights / Fridley, Minnesota: Superintendents and a lawsuit described agents circling schools, following buses, and staging in school parking lots.

Danbury, Connecticut (this week, late August 2026): Sen. Murphy, the mayor, and local advocates said ICE arrested parents after children boarded school buses, and that operations overlapped with the first days of school. Local officials claimed roughly 50 detentions in a few days. DHS called the “targeted parents at a school bus stop” claim false and said at least one named arrest was of a driver already in the country illegally. Homan said he was not aware of bus-stop arrests. That fight is live and contested; the pattern of near-school / drop-off / bus-adjacent enforcement is not unique to Danbury.

3. Border Patrol at schools: also yes, in at least one major caseAt Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis (January 2026), school officials said Customs and Border Protection officers came onto campus at dismissal, tackled people, handcuffed two staff members, and used chemical munitions near students. That is CBP, not ICE, but it is the same DHS family Homan is defending.

We open with one of the most lie-packed-in-short-form statements of the week.

Here is more on the anti-constitutional piracy Trump announced yesterday… “White House Planning to Reactivate Civil War-Era Court to Accelerate Theft of Iranian Oil - News From Antiwar.com” LINK
BUT, WHAT OTHER DETAILS CAN WE UNCOVER? The Constitution placed “all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction” in the federal judicial power and gave Congress authority to “make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water.” The Judiciary Act of 1789 gave the new district courts exclusive original jurisdiction in admiralty, including prize. In Glass v. The Sloop Betsey (1794) the Supreme Court confirmed that every district court possessed the full powers of an admiralty court “whether considered as an instance, or as a prize court.” The keys here are three-fold. First and second: without a Declaration of War, the only “captures at sea” that the US can conduct have to stem from mercenaries hired under Letters of Marque and Reprisal). Third: If any non-war action is taken, the BILL OF RIGHTS must apply. The US cannot simply hire mercenaries who, upon going after baddies as characterized by the feds, capture the baddies but then do not deliver them to US courts where Due Process is afforded. That would allow the Congress to circumvent Due Process anytime they wanted simply by issuing Letters of Marque and Reprisal against any civilians…
Historically, Congress repeatedly authorized privateers (letters of marque) and prize money for naval crews. Captors filed a “libel” in district court; the court applied prize law to decide whether the capture was lawful, whether the property was enemy or contraband, and how proceeds would be divided. That system was used during the Quasi-War with France and, far more extensively, the War of 1812. The Prize Act of 1812 is one of the key early statutes. (I suspect you detect the fuzziness of their actions and how it’s easy for the feds to claim they don’t have to afford Due Process when they really DO have to afford it, including trial by jury.) AND IT GOT WORSE…
The Civil War produced the largest body of American prize litigation and the most important Supreme Court decision on the subject. Lincoln proclaimed a blockade of Southern ports in April 1861, before Congress had formally ratified his actions. Union warships seized blockade runners and other vessels; district courts condemned them as prizes.Four of those early seizures—The Brig Amy Warwick, The Schooner Crenshaw, The Barque Hiawatha, and The Schooner Brilliante—reached the Supreme Court as The Prize Cases (1863). In a 5–4 decision written by Justice Robert Grier, the Court held that a state of war existed as a matter of fact after the firing on Fort Sumter, that the President as commander-in-chief could institute a blockade without waiting for a congressional declaration of war, and that captures made under that blockade were lawful prizes. The Court treated the conflict as both an insurrection and a war to which the international law of prize applied. - That is, of course, insane. Unless Congress Declares War, the US government is not at War. It’s pretty simple. But, even then, one can see how the judges cared not for the wording of their “rule book”.
