    WARIRAN

Gee. Thanks. “US issues worldwide travel warning — RT World News” LINK - Here is more on that front, from the always-informative Glenn Diesen:

In the past 24 hours, the US has conducted its eighth consecutive night of airstrikes across southern Iran, targeting coastal surveillance sites, air defenses, missile storage, and infrastructure near Qeshm Island, Sirik, Bandar Abbas, and Shadegan. US jets also struck water tanks in the Bemani district, cutting off civilian water supplies in the height of summer—a clear war crime according to independent analysts. According to Al Jezeera, US forces of aggression killed seven more Iranians last night.

Iran responded with retaliatory missile barrages targeting US bases in Jordan—killing at least two American troops—along with strikes in Kuwait and Bahrain. Iranian forces also disrupted shipping routes near the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command claimed the operations aimed to degrade Iranian capabilities, yet independent coverage highlighted the expanding scope, including damage to electricity and desalination plants, tunnels, and bridges in Hormozgan province.

To reiterate. Iran’s responses have been swift and measured. Iranian regular army (Artesh) forces launched drone strikes on key US military sites in Kuwait, including an ammunition depot at Camp Arifjan and air defense systems at Ali Al Salem Air Base. Missile waves targeted US positions in Jordan, with explosions reported and Israeli alerts issued for potential spillover. Iran also successfully downed a US MQ-9 Reaper drone over its southern territory. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the United States made two critical miscalculations: it started the war and failed to anticipate the scale of Iranian resistance. He emphasized that Iran does not seek war but will fight when the cost of inaction becomes greater.

These events directly expose the falsity of Trump administration claims that Iran breached the Memorandum of Understanding. As detailed across RT and DropSite News reporting, Iran suspended its MOU commitments only after repeated US violations of the ceasefire framework. Iranian leadership has consistently shown that Washington sabotaged the agreement by resuming strikes, rendering American assurances worthless. Voices from Antiwar.com correctly see this pattern as part of a broader “all stick, no carrot” policy with no diplomatic off-ramp. From an anti-war perspective, the past day’s developments reveal a reckless US escalation driven by false pretexts. The targeting of civilian water supplies and continued bombing despite Iranian restraint demonstrate that Washington, not Tehran, bears responsibility for prolonging this destructive conflict. Rather than genuine security concerns, these actions risk wider regional war while undermining any prospect for negotiated peace. Diplomacy and respect for sovereignty remain the only rational path forward.
The US boarded a vessel in international waters. This guy on X seems to think that has some backing through US constitutionalism or international law?

#BREAKING: US military forces board and search a commercial vessel in the Gulf of Oman to enforce the ongoing naval blockade of Iranian exports Iran Update Special Report, July 18, 2026. #Maritime Security","username":"Hoodho3s","name":"Hoodho3s","profile_image_url":"https://pbs.substack.com/profile_images/2058977317594988544/-Hu_Yalg_normal.jpg","date":"2026-07-19T11:50:34.000Z","photos":[],"quoted_tweet":{},"reply_count":0,"retweet_count":0,"like_count":0,"impression_count":49,"expanded_url":null,"video_url":null,"video_preview_media_key":null,"belowTheFold":true}" data-component-name="Twitter2ToDOM">

Daniel Davis notes that CENTCOM actually claimed to have DISABLED the vessel, and fired a HELLFIRE MISSILE at it. Then, five hours later, the US claimed it was hitting Iran some more to “degrade Iran’s ability to threaten” commercial vessels. These would be vessels that are passing through Iranian waters. Astounding.

    GAZA

Israeli Forces Intensify Deadly Aggression in Gaza, Displacing Palestinians and Killing Civilians Amid Ceasefire ViolationsAs of mid-July 2026, Israeli occupation forces have escalated their brutal campaign of airstrikes, artillery shelling, and ground incursions across the Gaza Strip, continuing a pattern of aggression that human rights defenders worldwide recognize as part of an ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. Independent reports shared on X highlight fresh waves of civilian deaths, mass displacement, and the shrinking of Palestinian living space under the guise of “security operations.” Drop Site News reported on July 19 that Israeli forces pushed the so-called “yellow line” deeper into Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, advancing toward the main north-south artery, Salah al-Din Road. This move involved heavy gunfire, quadcopter drones, and shelling that killed residents, destroyed homes and shops, and forced families—including women and children—to flee into the streets. Israel already controls an estimated 67-70% of the Strip, further confining Palestinians into overcrowded areas plagued by disease outbreaks such as chickenpox.

Medical sources and Al Jazeera documented multiple overnight strikes on residential neighborhoods, including a tent shelter in Zeitoun where a woman and her husband were killed. On July 18 alone, at least 10 Palestinians died in Israeli attacks, among them Reda Abu Asser, a mother struck by artillery in a displacement tent, and an entire family of five. Al Jazeera further reported that attacks on two residential areas killed at least eight Palestinians.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF), cited by Drop Site News on July 19, confirmed at least eight Israeli airstrikes across Gaza since July 17, all causing casualties. Their teams treated 12 people after one strike in Al Nuseirat, including seven children—three in critical condition with shrapnel wounds. Gaza health authorities recorded around 30 killed and over 70 wounded in just 2.5 days. These actions blatantly violate any claimed ceasefire.

Antiwar.com notes additional strikes killing families (including a father, mother, and six-year-old daughter) and at least five more Palestinians, with the IDF maintaining constant ceasefire violations. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel will not withdraw from Gaza even if Hamas disarms and intends to establish settlements, describing the destruction with satisfaction. “Israeli Attacks Kill Five Palestinians in Gaza as IDF Continues Constant Ceasefire Violations - News From Antiwar.com” LINK
Meanwhile, CNN spews out nonsense that “Hamas” is responsible for the starvation of Palestinians… From the perspective of Palestinian human rights supporters, these operations constitute collective punishment, war crimes, and deliberate ethnic cleansing. The targeting of civilian infrastructure, tents, and neighborhoods, combined with forced displacement and health crises from overcrowding, reveals a systematic assault on Palestinian life and dignity. Narratives blaming Palestinian leaders for starvation—amplified in Western media and critiqued by Max Blumenthal and RT—are grotesque attempts to deflect responsibility for the siege and blockade.

    Greetings, fellow Conspirators!

Some might see Trump's insane belligerence and fakery about "agreements" as the Escalation Chuts and Ladders game. It's deadly, and reveals a great amount about those who willfully blind themselves to naked aggression, war crimes, anti-constitutionalism, and immorality. TRUMP’S “ELECTION WAS RIGGED” TV APPEARANCE - LEVERAGING MAGA-BASE FRUSTRATION TO MALACIOUS ENDS, REDIRECTING RANCOR TO FOCUS ON… CHINA?

That certainly seems to be what The Trump Show is attempting to do. Offering zero evidence, Trump Thursday night spewed a bunch of assertions about the 2020 election being stolen, by CHINA. It’s preposterous, and clearly oriented (pun intended) to push the US v China rivalry/trade-battle even more. Marjorie Taylor Greene brings up some good points about the Trump monologue last night.

And Larry Johnson offers more valuable insights about this strange attempt to blame China for Trump’s 2020 loss.

Yemen appears to be making its move:

    TRUMP is escalating even more

And the Trumpers are claiming that “Iran is recruiting terror forces in Yemen” to engage in this response, which, of course, the Trumpers don’t acknowledge as a response to the US aggression. Here is Daniel Davis on the Trump Press Sec and Fox News as they twist the narrative and continue to try to claim that Iran is the side that broke the MOU.

We will draw numerous great points from Lt. Col Davis’ presentation - Definitely check out his channel!

I still am very skeptical of the out-of-the-blue change in the US rhetoric re Israel’s demands on the US. I think this is show, to get the US Admin and Zionists through the next election. As the surface “disagreements” are thrown in our faces, the Congress and Senate literally are working on a plan Netanyahu, himself, said was his idea - to integrate US and Israeli military-corporate projects and integrate US and Israeli intel-corporate projects and make them “job providers” inside states or in other third-world nations, thus making it harder to end them. Controversy boils over the Stratos Project, a proposed large-scale AI/hyperscale data center campus in rural Hansel Valley, Box Elder County, Utah (near the northern end of the Great Salt Lake). It is developed by O’Leary Digital (linked to Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary) in partnership with the Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA). LINK
The project has faced strong local opposition since approvals in May 2026 over water use (especially impacts on the stressed Great Salt Lake), massive power demands (originally up to ~9 GW, more than Utah’s current total usage, partly from natural gas), environmental effects (landscape, wildlife, temperature/heat), lack of transparency, and the use of an unelected state body (MIDA) that bypassed standard local processes. Earlier backlash contributed to political losses in June 2026 primaries (e.g., Utah Senate President J. Stuart Adams and two Box Elder County commissioners). The project was scaled back significantly (e.g., footprint reduced substantially from original ~40,000 acres).

And, as we know, the US moved most of its troops that were stationed on US bases in foreign nations. They moved them to domestic hotels.

    The Iranians reiterate

    More

    And -

BUT, KEY TO IT ALL, IS WHETHER TRUMP INTENTIONALLY WANTS TO SEE THE STRAIT CONTINUE TO BE BLOCKED AND IF HE WANTS TO SEE YEMAN CLOSE THE RED SEA IN THE SOUTH.

Here are Daniel Davis and Larry Johnson offering valuable insights into the moves Saudi Arabia is trying to make to skirt the Ansar Allah power to close the Red Sea. This also involves Oman opening up new port space to skirt Iranian claims over the Strait. But the amount of oil flow will be minimal, and the Iranians could strike back at the arrangement if Saudi and the UAE continue to facilitate US aggression. We have more footage to show you of the boisterous claims of “control” from Stephen Miller and the looming oil problem, and we will display the footage tonight on Liberty Conspiracy Live. Right now, here is this key portion of Daniel Davis’s conversation with Larry Johnson.

An Qatar says Israel is lying about Qatari willingness to hit Iran.

    While, let’s not forget

ISRAELI PALS KUSHNER, WITKOFF, A FOLLOW-UP RE NEGOTIATIONS W IRAN AND THEIR PERSONAL TRADES

One wonders which US-tied pals will make oodles off this…

And Antiwar’s Dave Decamp has additional key elements to this new arrangement btwn the US and UAE

AND, breaking, Iran is responding to UAE aid to the US aggression. It looks like Iran has hit Dubai.

We learned the other day how Marco Rubio and others in the Trump Admin are working to neuter the ICC. Here is more showing how much disdain the US holds for the group that the US helped create after WWII. Two US-based human rights groups, DAWN and Taxpayer Alliance Against Genocide, filed a lawsuit claiming Trump administration sanctions under EO 14203 have created a chilling effect, forcing them to halt evidence submissions to the ICC, cut ties with sanctioned entities, and pause work with UN investigator Francesca Albanese over Gaza investigations.

Meanwhile, JD Vance ad-vances the rhetoric that Trump and his Israeli pals can afford to extend, because Trump simultaneously claims it is IRAN’S FAULT (wink) that the US keeps attacking Iran. This Vance appearance smells of an inauthentic and superficial PR plan, to get the Admin and the Republicans through the next election and try to look “oppositional” to Israel before November.

And no, the US does not control the Strait. (More on that, and the Leavitt claims of it, below)

ISRAEL, GAZA, LEBANON, SYRIA, WEST BANK

Israel Katz talked to US Pentagon cats today, and told them the Israelis will not leave the areas they recently invaded and are occupying. Total shocker, there… Meanwhile, the US will supply at least another 3.3 BILLION BUCKS to the genocide machine in the next budget. AT LEAST.

FCC LOOSENS STATION OWNERSHIP PERCENTAGE RESTRICTIONS

The FCC is unconstitutional, and the media concentration we already experience is a result of the federal govt claiming the power to hand out broadcast licenses and then the creation by the feds of the Red and Blue TV networks under the FRC then becoming the FCC. The dominant media figures in newspapers often added broadcasting monopolies (the cost for entrance was made very high by the govt restrictions) thus concentrating ownership in the hands of people like Hearst, Westinghouse, and others. Here is the latest, which does not see the elimination of the FCC, which is the only ANSWER to the problem of a lack of competition. “FCC to repeal 39% TV ownership cap in boost for Trump-friendly news orgs - Ars Technica” LINK

    WAR

    BREAKING

    IRAN

OVERALL: The United States persists with unlawful strikes on Iran, deliberately attacking civilian targets and critical infrastructure in southern regions, acts that qualify as war crimes breaching Iranian sovereignty. These aggressions have caused numerous civilian deaths and destroyed essential facilities near the Strait of Hormuz. In self-defense, Iranian forces successfully targeted US military bases in Bahrain, home to the Fifth Fleet headquarters, along with installations in Kuwait and Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base. They also struck radar systems in Oman and fuel and ammunition depots in Jordan, proving Iran’s ability to hit back precisely at the sources of aggression. Middle Eastern countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar have aided the US by allowing use of their territory and airspace for these operations. Iran has downed multiple F-18 jets, backed by Iranian-released videos and official confirmations that expose US falsehoods about their aircraft safety. Here is Antiwar on that

Regarding shipping, Iran enforces its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz by mandating permissions and approved routes rather than permitting free passage. Iranian evidence, including timelines of post-agreement US strikes, clearly proves Trump lies about the MOU, as the US violated the ceasefire commitments to de-escalate and respect Iranian arrangements in the waterway. These developments affirm Iran’s legitimate resistance to foreign domination.

The Iranian government reported that the US attacked a major grain storage facility, key for food in a portion of the arid nation. The US CENTCOM denies this. But CENTCOM REPEATEDLY HAS LIED.

Independent analyses disproven numerous CENTCOM assertions of precision strikes limited to military targets LINK:

    • The Lamerd incident (late February/early March 2026): Iranian officials and media reported a strike on a sports hall/residential area in Lamerd that killed 21 civilians, including children. CENTCOM denied US involvement in the area and claimed video of the munition matched an Iranian Hoveyzeh cruise missile. However, The New York Times, BBC Verify, and weapons experts (including from Janes) analyzed footage, damage, and characteristics, concluding it was likely a US Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). Distinctive features of the Hoveyzeh (wings, external engine) were absent, and the munition’s behavior matched US systems.

    • Drinking water facilities (June 2026): Iranian reports described strikes on water storage tanks near the Strait of Hormuz affecting over 20,000 people. Analyses by The New York Times, CNN, and others geolocated photos, satellite imagery before/after, and recovered fragments identified as US GBU-39 precision bombs. The damage patterns (precise roof impacts, specific bomb remnants) aligned with US munitions, contradicting claims of purely military targets. LINK

These cases established a track record where open-source intelligence (OSINT), forensic analysis, and journalism contradicted initial US denials or characterizations.

Let’s look at CENTCOM’s Communication Style and Credibility Concerns

CENTCOM has actively used a “CLAIM vs. TRUTH” format on X to rebut Iranian state media assertions in real time. While this counters some Iranian disinformation (e.g., exaggerated claims of US losses), a July 2026 analysis noted that some CENTCOM denials on specific incidents (like certain school or infrastructure strikes) were later challenged or nuanced by independent reporting from outlets like the NYT and BBC Verify. This creates an impression of selective or managed messaging rather than full transparency.

Challenges of Verification in Active Conflict

    • Timing and access: The July 14 strikes are extremely recent. Independent verification via satellite imagery, on-ground reporting, or neutral OSINT takes time. Iranian state media often releases photos/videos quickly claiming civilian damage; Western access inside Iran is limited.

    • Fog of war and dual-use concerns: CENTCOM listed strikes in/near Ahvaz (Khuzestan province, close to Hoveyzeh) among military targets aimed at degrading Iran’s anti-shipping capabilities. Even precise munitions can have collateral effects, targeting errors, or proximity issues if military and civilian infrastructure (e.g., logistics, ports, storage) overlap in contested areas. Skeptics note that “military target” claims have sometimes encompassed or impacted nearby civilian sites in prior rounds. LINK

Skepticism draws from longer patterns in US military operations (Iraq, Afghanistan, drone campaigns), where initial claims of minimal civilian impact or precise targeting were later revised by investigations, leaks, or independent probes.

    WARIRAN

Trump is backtracking from his “20% demand for a fee for the pretend “ability” to be helped through the Strait of Hormuz by US forces, forces he claimed yesterday have provided all kinds of “protection” to Mid-Eastern nations, despite Iran proving the US could not protect them. He seems to have realized the hypocrisy of his bloodthirsty regime claiming that it was illegal for Iran to charge for passage through Iranian waters, but then to turn around and say that the US would charge to cross. “Trump Backtracks on 20% Hormuz Strait Fee, Says He Wants ‘Trade and Investment Deals’ From Gulf States - News From Antiwar.com” LINK Dave DeCamp’s coverage of this last night (before Trump backtracked) is great…

And, Iran is showing Trump that, no, he is not in charge in the Strait. In fact, we have this BREAKING NEWS

Iran is striking back against US-attached assets in Jordan, Bahrain, UAE. First, A Nestle Quik look at the latest re Bahrain.

    • Iran’s reported strike on Bahrain with over 30 missiles, including a Khorramshahr carrying cluster munitions, is part of the escalating 2026 Iran war, responding to recent US strikes on Iranian targets and aimed at US military assets in the Gulf.

    • Bahrain hosts the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters, making it a strategic target; air raid sirens sounded multiple times with resident reports of heavy explosions and shaking windows, following a similar Iranian attack on Kuwait.

    • The Khorramshahr is a medium-range Iranian ballistic missile capable of delivering various warheads; early updates indicate Bahrain issued an all-clear after assessing impacts, though full damage details remain unconfirmed amid the broader regional conflict.

    Jordan:

Daniel Davis Nails it, re US “control”, the US clearly breaching the MoU and provoking Iran, the US using Saudi to attack Yemen, and more

How did ‘we’ get to this point?

Iran acted in defense of Iranian sovereignty, after adherence to the MoU (interim ceasefire agreement), while the US repeatedly has violated its commitments through unprovoked aggression:
Over the past 24 hours, the United States continued its assault on Iranian territory with precision strikes using aircraft, missiles, drones, and sea drones targeting coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities in southern Iran, including key locations such as Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Chabahar, Konarak, Jask, and Abu Musa.
In legitimate response to these violations of the MoU and to protect its sovereignty, Iran launched large-scale retaliatory strikes with ballistic missiles (including advanced Khorramshahr systems reportedly carrying cluster munitions warheads) and swarms of drones against US military assets hosted in Bahrain and Kuwait. Targets in Bahrain included the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Juffair and Sheikh Isa air base; in Kuwait, facilities such as Ali Al Salem Air Base and Camp Arifjan. Reports indicate over 30 missiles directed at Bahrain in one of the largest such operations, with heavy explosions reported and air defenses engaging. These actions affirm Iran’s right to self-defense against foreign aggression on its region while upholding its sovereign claims.
Oil price overview since the US resumed its assault over the weekend:
Renewed US strikes and threats to Hormuz shipping have driven sharp volatility and upward pressure on global oil markets. Brent crude rose significantly from around $72–78 per barrel in calmer periods following the June MoU to levels exceeding $84–85 per barrel by midday, today, with notable daily gains of 2–4% or higher in recent sessions amid fears of disrupted flows through the strategic waterway. This surge reflects the economic fallout of US belligerence, increasing costs for energy-dependent economies worldwide while highlighting the leverage Iran holds over critical global supply routes through its sovereign actions. Oh, and look… More Israeli influencing on social media. One wonders who receives their blood money…

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s July 2026 campaign aims to dismantle the International Criminal Court “brick by brick” through sanctions, visa bans, and pressure on allies to withdraw.

This is a good overview of the unscrupulous actions of Rubio and Trump et al. “US to seek dismantling of International Criminal Court, Rubio announces - JURIST - News” LINK

Marco Rubio’s July 2026 announcement that the United States will dismantle the International Criminal Court “brick by brick” through sanctions, visa bans, and pressure on allies marks a sharp rejection of the very institution the U.S. once helped legitimize. The move targets ICC arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, actions carried out with weapons and munitions supplied in large part by American military aid.

This stance reveals a clear inconsistency with America’s post-World War II record. The United States led the Nuremberg prosecutions, insisted on codifying the Geneva Conventions, and championed the United Nations framework to prevent impunity for aggression and atrocities. Those efforts rested on the principle that no nation, however powerful, stands above international rules when grave crimes are committed. Today, however, Washington treats the ICC—an outgrowth of that same post-war commitment to accountability—as illegitimate the moment it examines the conduct of a close ally. The court’s jurisdiction in the Palestine situation stems from Palestine’s status as a state party; the U.S. and Israel are not parties and have long refused its authority. Yet the pattern is familiar: the U.S. endorses international law when it constrains adversaries and rejects it when it constrains friends or itself. The result is a selective application that privileges strategic partnerships over consistent standards, undermining the universal norms the United States helped embed after 1945.

    US ECONOMY

This is an important picture of the downward curve for the US economy, because the US government continues to expand while its need for money increases, simultaneously needing bond sales and low interest rates, the rates of which have inverse relationships. And all of it is thirsting for your money, via taxation of every form and via the inflation of the money supply that waters down the buying power of your earnings. It’s going to get much worse.

BTW re the tariffs Trump imposed last year that the US Supreme Court found to be unconstitutional? Approximately $166 billion in IEEPA tariffs was collected by the U.S. government and is subject to refund following the Supreme Court’s February 20 ruling. As of the most recent available data (up to July 10), about $86.3 billion (including interest) has been repaid, with roughly $121.75 billion accepted/queued for processing. In other words, the Trumpers haven’t returned approximately half of the stolen/expropriated cash to the companies/importers who had to pay. LINK

He seems to have realized the hypocrisy of his bloodthirsty regime claiming that it was illegal for Iran to charge for passage through Iranian waters, but then to turn around and say that the US would charge to cross. “Trump Backtracks on 20% Hormuz Strait Fee, Says He Wants 'Trade and Investment Deals' From Gulf States - News From Antiwar.com” LINK Dave DeCamp’s coverage of this last night (before Trump backtracked) is great

And we noted this in yesterday’s News Notes, but I wanted to do more research…

LINK

FIRST, two notes of Rest in Peace

Journalist and peace activist Jon Rappaport has died at the age of 88. He was a frequent guest on the David Knight show, worked hard to expose the COVID jab dangers, and was a powerful proponent for the original federalist system. Here is David’s commentary about Jon…

And New Zealand born actor Sam Neill has died at 78. He suffered from cancer for a while, but recently was diagnosed as cancer-free. Mr. Neill likely is best known for his role in helping the “Jurassic…” series rise to great heights, but for others, his breakout role as Sidney Reilly, in “Reilly: Ace of Spies” was the imprint. His work in that series was remarkable, and offered viewers a window into the history of early Soviet Russia. He added to his acting accomplishments by establishing a well-respected winery, as well.

    WAR

Lindsey Graham will not rest, one suspects. He never asked forgiveness, and acts as a lesson to others, perhaps all of us who might reflect on our own (hopefully, much less destructive) errors and sins. His towering level of evil and his death even can be used by God as signals to all of us who might want to take from his death the opportunity to avoid engaging in acts of anger or angry criticism of Graham, and use that time to level-headedly criticize Graham, even as we consider rectifying our own mistakes, asking forgiveness from God, and trying to teach others about avoiding the allure of power that Graham loved so much.

We yesterday posted this information from RT on Graham’s pernicious influence in Ukraine, “Warhawk US Senator Lindsey Graham dies — RT World News” LINK and we want to offer more, showing various levels of criticism of the man and his warmongering, warmongering that took millions of lives and made millions more suffer. IRAN

Here is a quick recap of the past 24 hours, since the US again provoked Iran….

In the early hours around July 12, the United States again breached clause 5 of the June Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by pushing or facilitating unauthorized commercial passage through the Strait of Hormuz along the southern corridor near Oman’s coast. This violated Iran’s sovereign rights as a coastal state and the MoU’s framework for Iran to manage safe passage arrangements, dialogue with Oman, and respect for territorial waters and approved routes (primarily the northern corridor under Iranian oversight). LINK

Iran responded defensively to this provocative breach and non-compliance. Revolutionary Guard forces issued warnings to vessels ignoring designated routes and fired a warning shot that struck the Cyprus-flagged container ship, causing significant engine-room damage and fire. The crew abandoned ship (one Indian crew member reported missing). Iran declared the strait closed to unauthorized traffic until U.S. interference ends, asserting its right to enforce order in its territorial waters. The U.S. then escalated with large-scale kinetic attacks: U.S. Central Command conducted airstrikes using precision munitions from fighter aircraft, striking approximately 140 Iranian military targets. These included missile and drone launch/storage sites, ammunition dumps, coastal radar installations, command-and-control nodes, and communication facilities along the southern coast (Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Jask, Qeshm Island areas). The stated goal was degrading Iran’s capacity to protect the strait. Iran responded in self-defense with ballistic missiles and explosive drones targeting U.S. military facilities and assets in the region, including sites in Bahrain (Fifth Fleet-linked radar/comms), Kuwait (Ali Al Salem airbase, Patriot systems, radar/ammo), and reported actions involving other Gulf locations. These events highlight U.S. aggression against Iran’s legitimate territorial and maritime rights under the MoU and international law, while Iran consistently acts to defend its sovereignty without initiating broader conflict.

Here are some key sources for verification:

    • Reuters and Washington Post reporting on the July 12 ship incident and U.S. strikes.

    • Al Jazeera coverage of MoU Article 5 interpretations and Hormuz clashes.

    • Iranian MFA statements (July 13) and IRGC announcements on responses.

    • UKMTO and CENTCOM updates on maritime incidents.

Trump juuuust did this at abt 4 pm edt

Trump not only is pretending that the US can control the Strait, he wants even more money for passage than the Iranians demanded they would be able to charge after the initial 60-day free period…

And he inverts every fact re which side breaks agreements.

If Trump is truthful, and the US had “ten” deals with “these people”, but the Iranians broke each one, then why would Trump continue to make “deals” with “these people” after, say, the fourth breach? The fifth? He just fantasizes, every hour of every day. Perhaps what he says means nothing? He will attack, strangle, lie, anything, anytime… Here is Antiwar on the status of Trump’s temerity and provocations “Trump Says US ‘Reinstating’ Blockade of Iranian Ports, Will Charge 20% Fee for Hormuz Strait Transit - News From Antiwar.com” LINK Here are Daniel D and Scott R on it

    The Iranians are right:

The US last night attacked a major Iranian Fuel depot

And the US used drones on an Iranian port.

Meanwhile, the former head of CENTCOM must have been hit in the head and not received proper medical attention.

Daniel Davis has thoughts on this man’s devilish drivel.

Here are Daniel Davis and Prof Seyed Mohammad Mirandi on the situation, juuuuust prior to Trump issuing his 4 pm unilateral “restart” or “new” (to avoid the already unconstitutionally lax “War Powers Act”) initiation of aggression against Iran.

To reiterate. Trump cannot control the Strait. He only can inspire Iran to lock things up and he can threaten a few ships, all while further strangling the world supply of fuel oil, nat-gas, helium, and fertilizer, not to mention all the foodstuffs and other products that normally pass through the Strait.

AND, Saudi’s government just made things worse for Saudi’s people. Yemen will be provoked to retaliate.

THE UAE is planning a new pipeline, to carry fuel from sea-loading on the west coast to the east, allowing the fuel to skirt the Strait of Hormuz

More on the Saudi attack on Sana’a International Airport. Evidently, they really want to help the US prompt Yemen to shut down the Red Sea by closing off the Red Sea.

    VENEZUELA

RUBIO IS in charge, it seems. In an article entitled “How Marco Rubio Is Running Venezuela From Afar” (July 11, 2026) the NYT outlines U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s remote control over Venezuela following the US invasion and kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro. It notes that he is a de facto viceroy, managing finances via Treasury oversight of oil revenues, resource allocation, and government policies from Washington. Coverage includes coordination with interim leader Delcy Rodríguez, application of sanctions, U.S. provision of 900 troops and nearly $400 million aid, cash deliveries, and post-earthquake support. Comparisons to L. Paul Bremer in occupied Iraq highlight the unprecedented sway. The piece details mechanisms to prevent corruption and creditor claims while granting Rubio significant leverage over Venezuelan affairs. As of this writing, roughly 70% of the US-stolen, US-sold oil sales revenue is still held by Trump in his semi-govt agency, run by Rubio, who decides how much to hand back to the people in VZ. - Remember when the US govt was angry at Chavez and Maduro for nationalizing the oil fields and controlling the oil revenue? Yeah. Collectivism suits Donald just fine when he and his pals make $ off it.
