The Fuel Situation. We posted a few days ago a link to a story that mentions the “Crack Spread”, which is the differential between the original price of oil (of the various kinds) and the gas and diesel/jet fuel remuneration coming out of the refining process. As we have noted, the US has not opened a new refinery for twenty years, and only has seen expansion of a few extant ones. The situation is amplified by the lack of fuel and the worldwide demand. David Knight amplified on that situation today, as did Zerohedge. We will add more, beneath this embedded video:

So, yeah, the crack spread—the refining margin between crude oil costs and the value of products like gasoline and diesel—has exploded to record highs in mid-2026, creating a stark fuel-price disconnect. ZeroHedge charts highlight the 3-2-1 crack spread (two barrels gasoline plus one diesel from three crude) surging past $60–70 per barrel, far exceeding 2022 peaks, while WTI crude fluctuated lower. This “crack spread on crack” reflects permanent U.S. refining capacity losses of 1.2–1.3 million barrels per day since 2019, near-100% utilization rates, robust demand, and depleted inventories (jet fuel at multi-decade lows). Geopolitical shocks amplify the squeeze: Ukrainian strikes have curtailed Russian product exports, and Middle East tensions—including Israeli operations in southern Lebanon—threaten further disruptions via the Strait of Hormuz or broader regional fallout. Diesel cracks have hit $80–88 per barrel in key hubs, with jet fuel nearly double crude costs. Consumers and airlines thus face elevated pump and aviation prices even as crude softens; the spread absorbs any crude relief. Analysts warn the imbalance cannot persist indefinitely—either product prices must ease or crude must rebound—yet constrained capacity leaves markets stretched, with refiners reaping windfall profits amid policy debates over exports and utilization.

RUSSIA HITS Key Ports In Odessa Region

Russian military strikes on Ukrainian ports (past 24 hours)Russian forces conducted overnight and recent strikes on Ukrainian Black Sea ports, primarily in the Odessa region (including Odessa, Chornomorsk/Yuzhny). The Russian Defense Ministry stated high-precision weapons and drones hit infrastructure used for unloading/storing fuel and military cargoes destined for Ukrainian forces, plus vessels allegedly delivering such supplies. Ukrainian officials reported damage to port facilities, residential areas, and civilian/commercial ships, with casualties and claims that seaborne exports (key for grain) have been disrupted or halted. These form part of intensified targeting of logistics hubs amid mutual Black Sea attacks. Reports note ongoing operations against port capacity supporting Ukraine’s war effort and trade.

EU’s new Russia sanctions package with Greek LNG carve-out!

EU “ambassadors” today agreed on the bloc’s 21st sanctions package against Russia. It expands attacks to shut down European citizens’ work with ~94 Russian financial institutions (mainly banks) and the Moscow stock exchange, freezes the oil price cap at $44.10/barrel for 12 months, and targets so-called shadow-fleet helpers plus crypto/oil platforms. To secure Greek consent (unanimity required), the package includes a one-year exemption—automatically renewable—allowing EU (chiefly Greek, because the vast majority of EU shipping of the stuff is done through Greek interests) companies to continue transferring Russian LNG to third countries under pre-2022 contracts. Athens had blocked earlier drafts, arguing a full ban would merely shift business to non-EU operators without cutting Russian revenue. I wonder if many pop reporters who covered this realize that Greek firms dominate specialized Arctic LNG carriers serving Yamal. EU imports of Russian LNG will remain banned from January 2027. LINK

Re “Pickaxe Mountain” - Trump claimed that they might hit it, even though he also admitted yesterday that he wasn’t sure if the Iranians had moved their nuclear material there, that, of course, coming after last year when he and Vance and Rubio claimed that they had “permanently” destroyed Iran’s “nuclear program” (falsely implying a nuke weapons program)… SO, can the US hit the purported stocks that the US purportedly buried last year? No. They cannot.

Iran achieved two key tactical victories yesterday when hitting a target in Kuwait. They destroyed a KEY US detection site that will greatly erode American ability to see and respond to Iranian missiles and drones in the region, and Iran also exposed how integrated the US is in Kuwait, countering Kuwaiti claims of innocence. The Iranians also hit a desalinization plant in Kuwait.

More hits, it appears, this time in the Kurdist region of Iraq

(As noted from Antiwar, above) - Trump claims that for every ship the Iranians hit in the strait, he will hit a portion of civilian infrastructure.

But it is the US that initiated the aggression and which keeps breaking agreements. Iran will not give up, and will retaliate, as Trump wanders and keeps making things worse for life on earth. And… no one can believe Donald Trump or anyone tied to him.

And, after just two days in office, new UK PM Andy Burnham is dedicated to US use of British bases to attack Iranian targets - targets already shown to be civilian, in many cases, making Burnham complicit in War Crimes.

Netanyahu’s visit - NYC Mayor Mamdani says he is not able to arrest Netanyahu and hold him. (This, a segment from Bongino’s program, and Mr. Bongino was full of invective for Mamdani even CONSIDERING the idea. Bongino suspects a person who might try to prosecute Netanyahu for war crimes also might come after Trump or Bongino, himself — which actually would be morally correct to do, since Bongino was a party to Trump’s clear war crimes.)

The overall NDAA should never have been proposed, because most of it already is unconstitutional, but now even more people are recognizing that it must be stopped.

TARIFF TERRORISM - TARGET YOU, ESP IF YOU WANT TO BUY SOMETHING FROM CANADA

Because Trump is a belligerent and bellicose bully without a care for the US Constitution (that paper you never signed)… Trump announced plans to impose 50% tariffs on a range of Canadian goods (around $20 billion worth, or about 5.2% of total U.S. imports from Canada in 2025), citing Canada’s “discriminatory” treatment of U.S. products—particularly in autos, alcohol, and dairy (including Canada’s supply management system, provincial restrictions on U.S. alcohol sales in retaliation for prior U.S. tariffs, and drops in U.S. exports of vehicles and alcohol to Canada). These tariffs, invoked under Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (first major use in nearly a century), target items such as dairy products, furniture, clothing, wine, cement, ice hockey gear, swimming pools, fishing rods, seeds, and wigs. They are set to take effect around August 19 (30 days after the announcement). Key exemptions include energy, potash, fish, critical minerals, and goods already covered by other Section 232 tariffs. The measures apply even to some USMCA-qualifying goods in the targeted categories, though broader USMCA preferences still protect much of the bilateral trade. This fits into an ongoing U.S.-Canada trade dispute under the second Trump administration, involving broader tariffs on non-USMCA-compliant goods, sectoral actions (steel/aluminum, autos, lumber, etc.), and Canadian retaliation. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has stated that Canada has offered proposals to resolve issues and that prior U.S. tariffs violated USMCA; Canada has matched certain actions (e.g., on autos) while remaining open to “negotiations”. The House Rules Committee advanced a resolution for floor debate on the FY2027 NDAA (HR 8800) via voice vote and adjourned before a recorded vote could occur, with the bill scheduled for consideration the next day. Section 219 of the NDAA creates a formal US-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative directing the Pentagon to expand joint R&D, testing, manufacturing, and data sharing in advanced military technologies including AI, cyber, drones, and missiles. Israeli forces would not have leaked such embarrassing nonsense if it were true. They would have made up a story that Netanyahu was scheduled for something back home that precluded a longer visit to the US. And the Iranians just hit a Saudi-trading ship that was attempting to sail through the Strait of H near the Omani coast.

The Iranians have moved against US-backed Kurds that previously have engaged in attacks against Iranians and are tied to the US attempt to overthrow the Iranian govt. Over the past 36 hours, Iranian forces conducted drone and missile strikes on bases of Iranian Kurdish opposition groups in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. Early on July 19, a drone attack hit a Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) base near Erbil. In the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have continued their deadly assaults across Gaza, killing at least seven Palestinians since dawn today. Bodies were rushed to hospitals in the Strip following strikes in multiple areas, according to reporting shared by Drop Site News.

These attacks occur despite the fragile October ceasefire, representing repeated violations that have claimed over 1,100 Palestinian lives since the truce began. Palestinian health sources consistently document Israeli airstrikes, artillery, and targeted operations hitting civilian areas, homes, and gatherings.On July 19, Israeli government ministers joined a march to the Gaza border explicitly demanding Jewish settlements in the territory. Antiwar.com highlighted this as a clear push for reoccupation and colonization of Palestinian land.

These activities form part of an ongoing campaign of aggression, ethnic cleansing, and dispossession. Israeli officials’ open calls for settlements reveal the expansionist intent behind the military operations, aimed at erasing Palestinian presence and control in Gaza. Daily killings, destruction, and political moves to entrench occupation underscore a pattern of systemic violence against the besieged population.

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation army has intensified its violations against Lebanese sovereignty in the south through repeated shelling and drone attacks. Zionist forces shelled the towns of Janu, Haras in the Juba area, and Jubei in the Shama Mal zone. Israeli drones dropped sound bombs on Janu and Haras to terrorize civilians. Additional air and missile strikes targeted areas in the Nabatieh district and South Lebanon governorate, including Mansuri and Zawtar al-Sharqiyah. These acts represent continued aggression despite the fragile ceasefire and recent diplomatic talks in Rome on pilot zones for withdrawal. The Zionist entity seeks to maintain its occupation and undermine the Lebanese resistance. Hezbollah stands firm in defending every inch of Lebanese territory against all violations to protect the nation’s sovereignty and people.

US SENATE - LINDSEY GRAHAM LETHAL LEGACY

Ahh, yes… the “Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025” originally S.1241, introduced by Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT). It imposes primary and secondary sanctions on Russia (targeting officials, oligarchs, banks, the shadow fleet, etc.) and authorizes heavy tariffs on countries that buy large amounts of Russian oil and gas (originally proposed at 500%, revised in the post-Graham version to up to 100% on the top five purchasers and major eeeevil “sanctions evaders”). Graham died on July 11, 2026 (after a brief illness, reported as aortic dissection). In the days before and after his death, he and colleagues (including Blumenthal, my ol’ nemesis Jeanne Shaheen) announced White House agreement on a revised version of the bill.

Here’s what the bill (original text and descriptions of the revised version) means when politicians talk about sanctions - see if you can find any of these in the magic “powers” of the US Constitution:
-Asset freezes / Blocking sanctions: The U.S. government freezes (blocks) any property or assets in the U.S. (or controlled by U.S. persons) belonging to sanctioned individuals or entities. They can’t access, sell, or use that money/property.
-Visa and travel bans: Sanctioned Russian officials, oligarchs, military leaders, etc., are barred from entering the U.S.; any existing visas are revoked.
-Transaction bans: U.S. companies, banks, and individuals are prohibited from doing business with sanctioned persons or entities. This includes buying from them, selling to them, or providing services.
-Banking and financial restrictions:

• Banning or heavily restricting U.S. correspondent accounts for sanctioned foreign banks.

• Prohibiting U.S. banks from processing certain payments involving Russia or Russian officials.

• Banning U.S. investment in Russian government-controlled entities or defense-related companies.

Securities bans: Prohibits trading of stocks/bonds of sanctioned Russian companies on U.S. stock exchanges.
-Shadow Fleet sanctions: Explicit targeting of Russia’s “shadow fleet” — the network of older tankers (often using false flags, ship-to-ship transfers, and deceptive practices) that Russia uses to export oil while dodging existing sanctions. This includes sanctions on the vessels, their owners, operators, and anyone facilitating their use. It cuts them off from Western insurance, financing, ports, and services.
-Sector and project sanctions: Sanctions on Russian energy projects (e.g., specific LNG projects like Yamal LNG and Arctic LNG), uranium trade, and anyone supporting Russia’s energy production or defense industrial base.
-Secondary sanctions: Measures against foreign (non-Russian, non-U.S.) persons or companies that help Russia — for example, by selling weapons/components to Russia, facilitating sanctions evasion, or supporting its war effort. This is designed to have global reach.

So, last week, we reported on the allegations against a TELEPROMPTER OPERATOR for Trump who appears to have acted on insider info in order to make money off stocks effected by government moves. ABC decided to discuss this, and, as an example of how the biased media of any sort often miss their own biases, they brought on Donna Brazille, former head of the DNC — a woman caught by Wikileaks funneling CNN debate questions to Hillary Clinton andClinton Campaign head John Podesta to help Clinton in a debate with Bernie Sanders. She literally lost her spot as DNC Vice-Chair because of it, yet ABC NEWS brings her on? Astounding. Regardless of what she says, which actually is valid, the ABC people never asked her about her wrongdoing. Former Attorney General Pam Bondi stated in congressional testimony and interviews that she delegated oversight of the entire Epstein files process—including document review, redactions, privilege determinations, and compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act (signed by Trump in November 2025)—to Blanche as her deputy. She described him as “in charge of the process and the entire release of the Epstein files” and noted he supervised the “herculean task” of reviewing millions of pages, videos, and images. -And, again, not only are the feds not supposed to be in the states to conduct “traffic stops”, the state of local government claim of “running the roads” does not allow them to skirt the 4th Amendment requirement that a judge-issued warrant be in the hands of cops before they search anyone for anything. “ICE’s traffic-stop push faces new alarm after two killings” LINK
-Oh, and the US also is getting involved in pressuring divorced parents to provide child support, or else not get PASSPORTS LINK

Trump’s “IT’S CHINA!” narrative is about as believable as his “we want peace” narratives. But we do know one national government that has tremendous pull in DC and around the country…

Regardless of whether the act passes, the Trumpers are trying to leverage “Homeland Security Funds” (Have you seen that in Article 8,000 of the Constitution? How about, on a deeper level, the problem of government defining for YOU what your “security” is?) to make state governments run elections the way the feds demand. As we noted last week on Liberty Conspiracy Live, federal commands to make the states handle the “chusing” of their electors for the Presidential contests would be unconstitutional, because the “rule book” says that the “manner of chusing” the electors is up to the states. The processes for state operations of Congressional and Senate elections CAN be influenced by the central government. Thus, the SAVE act would be half-unconstitutional. But if the feds can threaten to withhold federal pork, then they might be able to get the states to comply with their demands as if it is not under duress. DHS head goon Markwayne Mullen also is threatening to “investigate” the voter rolls after elections in those states that do not comply. I did some digging… States/officials that refuse to participate in SAVE or adopt the measures will have those states prioritized for federal investigation into who voted and whether ineligible ballots were issued.
Mullin stated that non-compliant states will face heightened scrutiny, and election officials could be held accountable through investigations, fines, or prosecution if non-citizens are found to have voted in their jurisdictions.
Explicit warnings include pursuing maximum charges against illegal voters (“we will hunt you down, we will find you and we will prosecute you”) and extending accountability to officials who issue ballots to ineligible voters. (Again, for President, the states are supposed to be free to set up their own ways of “chusing” their electors — this actually could, in theory, see some states allowing non-citizens to vote)
Potential penalties referenced in context: fines and prison time (federal voter fraud statutes can carry up to 5 years in prison and significant fines).
Funding leverage: 20% of relevant homeland security grants can be withheld until compliance is proven. LINK

This is an interesting situation. Because the breakup of AT&T allowed the company to preclude what are called “parallel lines” beside the phone lines that the government-granted monopoly set up between WWI and the breakup of the monopoly in the late 1970s (finalized in 1982), AT&T was granted the ability to prevent any other company from laying down or suspending what are called “parallel lines” that might go along the road, etc., beside the AT&T lines and poles. So, unless companies that might take up this slack want to go to court or try making deals for other routes, there will be no replacement competition to come in to fill the need for nearly 200,000 people in CA. “FCC clears AT&T to discontinue copper landline service for about 199,000 California customers” LINK
