And New Zealand born actor Sam Neill has died at 78. He suffered from cancer for a while, but recently was diagnosed as cancer-free. Mr. Neill likely is best known for his role in helping the “Jurassic…” series rise to great heights, but for others, his breakout role as Sidney Reilly, in “Reilly: Ace of Spies” was the imprint. His work in that series was remarkable, and offered viewers a window into the history of early Soviet Russia. He added to his acting accomplishments by establishing a well-respected winery, as well.

Lindsey Graham will not rest, one suspects. He never asked forgiveness, and acts as a lesson to others, perhaps all of us who might reflect on our own (hopefully, much less destructive) errors and sins. His towering level of evil and his death even can be used by God as signals to all of us who might want to take from his death the opportunity to avoid engaging in acts of anger or angry criticism of Graham, and use that time to level-headedly criticize Graham, even as we consider rectifying our own mistakes, asking forgiveness from God, and trying to teach others about avoiding the allure of power that Graham loved so much.

Here is a quick recap of the past 24 hours, since the US again provoked Iran….
In the early hours around July 12, the United States again breached clause 5 of the June Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by pushing or facilitating unauthorized commercial passage through the Strait of Hormuz along the southern corridor near Oman’s coast. This violated Iran’s sovereign rights as a coastal state and the MoU’s framework for Iran to manage safe passage arrangements, dialogue with Oman, and respect for territorial waters and approved routes (primarily the northern corridor under Iranian oversight). Iran responded defensively to this provocative breach and non-compliance. Revolutionary Guard forces issued warnings to vessels ignoring designated routes and fired a warning shot that struck the Cyprus-flagged container ship, causing significant engine-room damage and fire. The crew abandoned ship (one Indian crew member reported missing). Iran declared the strait closed to unauthorized traffic until U.S. interference ends, asserting its right to enforce order in its territorial waters. The U.S. then escalated with large-scale kinetic attacks: U.S. Central Command conducted airstrikes using precision munitions from fighter aircraft, striking approximately 140 Iranian military targets. These included missile and drone launch/storage sites, ammunition dumps, coastal radar installations, command-and-control nodes, and communication facilities along the southern coast (Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Jask, Qeshm Island areas). The stated goal was degrading Iran’s capacity to protect the strait. Iran responded in self-defense with ballistic missiles and explosive drones targeting U.S. military facilities and assets in the region, including sites in Bahrain (Fifth Fleet-linked radar/comms), Kuwait (Ali Al Salem airbase, Patriot systems, radar/ammo), and reported actions involving other Gulf locations. These events highlight U.S. aggression against Iran’s legitimate territorial and maritime rights under the MoU and international law, while Iran consistently acts to defend its sovereignty without initiating broader conflict.

If Trump is truthful, and the US had “ten” deals with “these people”, but the Iranians broke each one, then why would Trump continue to make “deals” with “these people” after, say, the fourth breach? The fifth? He just fantasizes, every hour of every day. Perhaps what he says means nothing? In an article entitled “How Marco Rubio Is Running Venezuela From Afar” (July 11, 2026) the NYT outlines U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s remote control over Venezuela following the US invasion and kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro. It notes that he is a de facto viceroy, managing finances via Treasury oversight of oil revenues, resource allocation, and government policies from Washington. Coverage includes coordination with interim leader Delcy Rodríguez, application of sanctions, U.S. provision of 900 troops and nearly $400 million aid, cash deliveries, and post-earthquake support. Comparisons to L. Paul Bremer in occupied Iraq highlight the unprecedented sway. The piece details mechanisms to prevent corruption and creditor claims while granting Rubio significant leverage over Venezuelan affairs. As of this writing, roughly 70% of the US-stolen, US-sold oil sales revenue is still held by Trump in his semi-govt agency, run by Rubio, who decides how much to hand back to the people in VZ. - Remember when the US govt was angry at Chavez and Maduro for nationalizing the oil fields and controlling the oil revenue? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military? The only way this … ends, my friend, is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out,” Graham said, referring to Putin.

During his trip to Kiev the following year, the senator described the US military aid being sent to Ukraine as “the best money we’ve ever spent” because “the Russians are dying.”

Graham has repeatedly called for more economic pressure on Moscow, threatening it with what he called “bone-crushing” sanctions. In recent months, he has been actively promoting a bill that would impose 500% tariffs on all countries that purchase oil of Russian origin.

Speaking about Graham last year, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the lawmaker was part of “the group of the most inveterate Russophobes” in the West. The senator had been on Russia’s list of extremists and terrorists since 2023.

Here is some mild speculation about Lindsey’s recent visit to a Ukraine-based arms plant. It’s unlikely he was killed by the Russian strike, but the possibility rings with dark irony.

I was surprised to hear so many claim that Lindsey is gone. I, too, am highly skeptical.

Trump started Saturday threatening all of Iran - again.

And, so, of course, Iran late Saturday shut down the Strait of Hormuz in response to all the US aggression and US attempts to skirt the MoU point 5 that Iran is supposed to run the strait (and they are acting in preparation for more attacks, which seems likely, to come from the US)…

And tonight, US ground-to-ground missiles are being fired from Kuwait and Bahrain toward Iran alongside US jet-launched airstrikes…. Here is how this looks as we edit the Assembly…
As of tonight (July 11–12, 2026, around 00:00–01:00 UTC / early morning local time in Iran), the United States illegally and immorally is conducting airstrikes on Iranian locations along the southern coast, including areas in and around Asaluyeh in Bushehr province.
These strikes form part of a broader US Central Command (CENTCOM) act of aggression. Iranian media and local officials (e.g., Bushehr province’s deputy governor) have reported explosions and strikes in Asaluyeh county and nearby areas like Bushehr, Kangan (Kongān), and Dayyer (Deyr).
Targets:
-CENTCOM has described similar recent rounds (July 7–9) as hitting air defense systems, coastal surveillance/radar assets, missile and drone storage/launch sites, naval capabilities, IRGC small boats, and military logistics infrastructure along Iran’s coastline. The goal is to degrade Iran’s ability to control shipping, which the US agreed to see Iran DO, based on the MoU.
This July 11-12 round appears to follow the same pattern, focused on the southern coast and Strait infrastructure.

Asaluyeh/Bushehr province specifics:
Reports confirm strikes and explosions in Asaluyeh and the broader Bushehr area. In the closely preceding July 8–9 wave, Iranian officials stated US strikes hit:
-The perimeter around the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
-A military facility near Choghadak.
-(on Jul 9) A fishing pier in Asaluyeh county (Bonud/Benud village), where local fishermen’s boats caught fire. No casualties were reported in the Bushehr province strikes at that time. LINK
Social media and open-source reports for the latest wave explicitly list Asaluyeh among coastal strike locations alongside Bushehr and Strait-related sites.
-BTW, Asaluyeh is Iran’s largest gas processing complex and hub of the South Pars gas field.

Brandon Weichart suspected Trump might be preparing more insane kinetic action against Kharg Island. The US breach of the MoU continues to be a theatrical prop for the MAGA men and women out there, as they try to flip Trump’s clear breaches of the MoU — breaches in the forms of direct threats against Iranian people, multiple attempts to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz via the Omani coast (contrary to MoU point Five), and Marco Rubio “brokering” the Israeli-Lebanon agreement allowing Israel to stay in southern Lebanon.

Now, Trump is attacking Iran in response to Iran hitting five ships the day before yesterday. Iran has responded by striking US naval forces and by attacking key areas in nations that have facilitated US attacks on Iran.

Despite the US attacks, Iran still controls the Strait

It also is reported, and confirmed, that some of the boats Trump’s goons hit, and which the goons claimed were part of the IRGC naval force were, in fact, fishing boats.

And the US hit two rail lines. One, for goods that are integral for Chinese and Russian trade… Aq Tekeh Khan rail bridge (also called Aq Qala or Aqqala bridge) in Golestan Province, northern Iran. This is on the Incheh Borun–Turkmenistan railway route, important for international trade links toward Turkmenistan (and further connections involving Russia and China). Iranian media reported it was hit by seven projectiles and taken out of service. LINK And a section of the Tehran–Mashhad railway (northeastern Iran). This caused suspension of train services on that major route. Iranian authorities (including the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways) stated that technical teams were dispatched for repairs, with bus transport arranged for passengers as a workaround. The timing was noted as occurring hours before planned events related to the burial of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Mashhad.

This was pure vindictiveness on the part of Trump et al

-Iran’s response was swift, and they seem to have repaired the passenger line and the other is close to being fixed.

They also responded in other ways, overall…

By the way. One might wonder why here at my Substack and on LC Live, we note that it’s bizarre for the US and Iran to come to agreements about Oman’s shipping routes, but, while we observe that strangeness, we also note that Trump is supposed to get Israel to stop its activity in Lebanon and withdraw (per the first point of the MoU). The reason the latter is viable as a point in the MoU is that the Israelis DEPEND on the US to engage in their aggression, and Trump can cut them off and stop that aggression (he constitutionally is not supposed to give them any aid unless the Congress issues a Declaration of War). This does not hold for Oman, but Trump is offering all kinds of incentives to Oman if they side with the US rather than Iran. Reports describe a “Omani route” or southern/inshore route along the Omani coast, coordinated with the US Navy. This involves nighttime transits, blacked-out ships (lights/radar/AIS minimized), and US guidance to move commercial vessels (including oil tankers) safely.

• An INTERTANKO (tanker industry group) advisory from early June 2026 detailed this tightly controlled system, with ~15 vessels/day using it. Trump publicly referenced a “secret mission” enabling hundreds of ships and over 100 million barrels of oil to transit. LINK

• US-Oman military ties include long-standing access to ports like Duqm (outside the strait) and recent cooperation on maritime intelligence/surveillance to monitor/protect shipping. Some lawmakers (e.g., Sen. John Kennedy) have backed enhanced US-Oman coordination in the strait.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Ansar Allah might help Iran, of course.

AND, if Trump really wants to open the Straif of Hormuz, trying to destroy one of the key maritime towers for it is a bad, bad idea.

Well. The “officials” have not announced it, and they have not because they don’t want Thomas Massie to get into the office. In June, the UK government (via the Department for Culture, Media & Sport) published a green paper titled Watch this space: a new strategic direction for UK media. It is currently in a public consultation phase (open until 31 August 2026) and explores options for new rules that could eventually become law. LINK Check out the Orwellian Newspeak they use… The core idea is “prominence” rules for public service media (PSM) content on major video platforms. “Prominence” means making certain content easier to find and more visible — for example:

• Boosting it higher in search results

• Featuring it more prominently in recommendation feeds or homepages

• Giving it privileged placement in user interfaces

This would apply to platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and similar video-sharing services. Amazing.

Since last night, Trump unconstitutionally and immorally ordered US forces to launch attacks on numerous Iranian targets. One of those targets is the Bushehr defense base, which is integral for the defense of Kharg Island. And it looks like Trump is going to try to occupy it Kharg. He cannot hold it.

Iran’s government responded with many rockets and drones, and this statement.

Trump cannot maintain a presence on Kharg Island, and if he continues this military bloodshed, Ansar Allah in Yemen will shut down the Red Sea, forcing Saudi to drastically change its oil output, and only let them go through the Suez Canal.

The COST, so far…

The US released info that, evidently, they seem to think will absolve the murderers who commanded this and engaged in the strikes. Whether the claim that the information on which they claim they acted was incorrect when they hit the school in Minab is not relevant to the immorality of initiating an attack, forcing us to pay for it, and breaching their US Constitution. This is not as difficult an issue as some might imagine. Despite the way this post describes it, the fact that Iran is exercising the MoU, which grants Iran the power to control the Strait, is clear. But, though the US aggression against Iran is the obvious origin of the problem, one might also ask how the US and Iran can negotiate an agreement that includes control over the area of the Strait that is Omani water. The Omanis appear to be leaning towards working with Iran in the future, but the very premise, leveraged off the illegitimate US aggression, is odd.

Sharmine Narwani, of The Cradle, offers to Mario Nawfal key facts about the US dominance over the Iraqi oil profits, which has a bearing on the roundup of dissidents we saw in Iraq over the weekend. They were people who opposed US and Israeli presences there, and who favored closer ties to Iran.

And as part of the push, and to be read for the EU-supplied, US/NATO-supplied weapons that will be in Ukrainian hands in a few months, the Russian government has stepped up its manufacture of numerous types of weapons. Russian oil profits have helped sustain the war expenditures, but this wartime spending cannot continue at this level for another year without more evident trouble for Russia’s GDP.

(Note: a couple of the above might be slightly soft on volume for some people. Our “Russian Team” here has recorded those segments and will ramp them up in volume tonight on Liberty Conspiracy Live.)

Meanwhile, NATO meets in Ankara, and there is a big charade going on in the heart of their US-NATO-Ukraine theatre. First, we hear that Trump doesn’t want to see Zelinskyy. Yet Trump and the US government are readying another $9 BILLION to hand to Ukraine, and Trump and Congress have INCREASED spending on NATO by $2 billion for 2025, not decreased it. Second, NATO and the EU are preparing huge investments in arms to send to Ukraine, particularly to create quick-to-make drones, which Ukraine already has used to kill many Russian civilians. Here is part of the picture, as the Europeans and the DC arms makers grow desperate to make more cash and push more of this insane “wartime economy” insanity, even as Russia makes more ground and lives could be saved if Ukraine would sue for peace.

Trump continues the theatre with words that mean nothing as he arrives in Ankara. “NATO summit opens with Trump threats: As it happened — RT World News” LINK

Daniel Davis and Jim Jatras offer very nuanced thoughts on the NATO members’ very visible push for more spending and military aid to Ukraine, while Trump appears to be “less keen”… But, as we said, he appears to be playing at a masquerade.

For example, the US-Turkey relationship. Trump appears to be ready to upset Netanyahu by offering to sell f-35s to Turkey. This would require Turkey to give up some older US military items it has in storage, but the key here is the shadow-play, or what I suspect is that. Erdogan repeatedly has offered empty rhetoric about Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Jerusalem, and the West Bank. As he speak up about Israel, he continues to sell Israel oil — a lot of oil. Without the oil (like the Israelis are dependent on US weapons and money) the Israelis would have to end their genocide, ethnic cleansing, and occupations at least in Lebanon. Recently, Erdogan again showed upset at Israel attacking Lebanon. But he has not cut off the oil, and Trump’s move to sell planes to Turkey is part of this larger narrative the US and Israel started two weeks ago pretending there was a rancor building between Trump and Netanyahu. That all is for show, until they reach the elections in the US come November. The Israelis have no problem with Trump offering the sale to Turkey either because they know it won’t go through, or because they know that the US and Israel are going to help Turkey take Syrian land. The Democrat race to go up against milquetoast GOP-er Susan Collins got crazier in the last 12 hours, as popular candidate Graham Platner (who opposes US aid to Israel and might be an AIPAC target) has been accused of sexual assault/rape.

Allegations against Graham Platner:

The most prominent recent allegation, reported by Politico on July 6, 2026, comes from Jenny Racicot, who dated Platner on-and-off from roughly 2019 to 2021. She claims that in late 2021, Platner entered her rural Maine home uninvited while deeply intoxicated, became forceful (including grabbing her pelvis), and had non-consensual sex with her despite her repeated objections to stop. She says she cut off contact afterward and told him the encounter was not consensual. Platner has categorically denied the allegation, calling it “troubling, serious, and false,” and stated that he and his campaign are “taking the time to reflect on the best path forward.” LINK

This follows earlier reports (notably a June 2026 New York Times piece) from multiple women who dated Platner describing his behavior in past relationships as “unsettling,” demeaning to women, emotionally volatile, and in at least one case physically threatening or intimidating. There have also been reports of him sexting multiple women while married (around 2023–2025), past Reddit comments that downplayed sexual assault, and controversy over a Nazi-era Totenkopf (death’s head) tattoo on his chest, which he said he did not realize the meaning of at the time and later covered.

These issues have led to widespread fallout: the Maine Democratic Party and numerous prominent Democrats (including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer, Ro Khanna, Ruben Gallego, and others) have rescinded endorsements and called for Platner to withdraw from the race before the candidate replacement deadline. The DSCC has indicated it will not invest in the race while he remains the nominee. Platner is reportedly weighing whether to drop out.

Earlier coverage of his gubernatorial campaign (which he lost in the Democratic primary) noted that his platform announcements often omitted foreign policy, Palestine, or Israel/Gaza matters entirely. His 2026 gubernatorial bid received significant outside support (over $630,000 in TV ads) from the 314 Action Fund, a PAC focused on electing scientists and doctors that has been criticized by some progressives as having pro-Israel/AIPAC-linked ties (though Shah declined a pledge to reject all outside Super PAC money).
