VENEZUELA
Trump’s idea of stopping wars (he stopped 5,000 by lunch today, remember that), seems to entail sending aircraft carrier strike forces towards Venezuela. LINK
++As RT notes, the US just magically slapped “sanctions” on the Prez of Columbia, because Petro spoke up re the US attacks on Venezuelans and his own citizens in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific. LINK But, what are the details? The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed financial sanctions on Colombian President Gustavo Petro, two family members, and a close government associate under Executive Order 14059, which targets foreign persons involved in the global illicit drug trade. Trump claimed on September 15 that Colombia is “failing demonstrably” to meet its drug control obligations. Of course, even if that were DEFINED and then proven, it’s not the place of the US government or any polis to engage in aggression to take your money and fund an “interdiction” thug-force. The sanctions apply to the following individuals, designated as Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs):
Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego (Gustavo Petro): President of Colombia.
Verónica del Socorro Alcocer García: Petro’s wife and First Lady.
Nicolás Fernando Petro Burgos: Petro’s eldest son and former campaign manager.
Armando Alberto Benedetti Villaneda (Armando Benedetti): Petro’s Interior Minister and close political ally.
Any businesses owned 50% or more by these individuals are also blocked.
+++What the Sanctions Entail
These are “standard OFAC blocking sanctions,” which include:
Asset Freeze: All property and interests in property owned by the designated persons that are located in the U.S., or in the possession or control of U.S. persons, must be blocked and reported to OFAC.
Transaction Bans: U.S. persons (including citizens, residents, and entities) are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions involving the blocked persons’ property or interests. This includes providing funds, goods, services, or any other support to or from them, unless authorized by OFAC license.
SDN List Addition: The individuals are added to OFAC’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List), making it illegal for U.S. persons to deal with them.
Penalties for Violations: Civil penalties apply on a strict liability basis; criminal penalties can reach up to 20 years imprisonment and $1 million fines for willful violations. Non-U.S. persons may also face secondary sanctions.
The threats do not directly target Colombia’s government or economy but focus on the individuals.

++As DropSite notes: “Sky News reveals that Israel is backing four anti-Hamas militias operating behind the “yellow line,” the ceasefire boundary for IDF troops. Militia leader Hossam al-Astal said he and others – Yasser Abu Shabab, Rami Halas, and Ashraf al-Mansi – are part of a joint plan to “remove Hamas” and establish “The New Gaza.” His group operates less than 700 meters from Israeli positions, coordinating logistics and supply deliveries with the IDF through the Kerem Shalom crossing. Sky found similar coordination in northern Gaza, with militias receiving aid and vehicles via Israeli and PA channels, and possible Gulf backing, including ties to UAE-linked forces in Yemen. Al-Astal says, “Our project is ‘The New Gaza’ — no war, no Hamas, no terrorism.” LINK
++And Suppressed News has this, “Israeli Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, father of Minister of Heritage Amichay Eliyahu, calls Israelis to murder any recently released Palestinian they see on the street...” LINK
++This story, from Electronic Intifada, highlights how the political players in the German left not only have abandoned their anti-war stance, they use beards to pretend to be caring for kids and war victims, while covering for Israeli atrocities. LINK
++While Israel supposedly is in its “ceasefire” with Hamas, the Israeli government has given the green light to “settlers” (aka occupiers and terrorists) to attack local Palestinians in the West Bank. LINK

IMMIGRATION, US, ICE BREACHING CONSTITUTION ON MANY LEVELS
++Not only is immigration not a federal “power” in the US Constitution, the US Constitution is imposed on us and isn’t a valid contract, so even if the document were AMENDED to allow this sort of tyranny, it would not be moral, at all. Here is a single story, out of Vegas, that shows us just how lawless the ICE goons and many “law enforcement” goons are. LINK
++Here is another ICE-driven death, as the man fled them — and got hit by a car on the freeway. LINK
++ICE shipped this man to the African nation of Eswatini three months ago. He has been held there since that time, without any charges brought against him (and now, he is on a hunger strike)... This is the same ICE-Justice Dept MO as what Trump did with the hundreds of men it shipped to El Salvador, thinking, perhaps, that the Admin would be able to skirt the BILL OF RIGHTS. LINK
++Let’s recall that a judge has barred federal agents from arresting people inside courthouses. LINK This is angering the goons at DHS.
++The LA COUNTY government actually took this action on Oct 15th, but it is getting wider discussion now, as ICE runs roughshod in NYC, Chicago, Portland, and might go into San Fran... LINK DETAILS: The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors declared a local state of emergency in response to ongoing federal immigration raids by ICE, which began in early June 2025 and have since led to over 5,000 arrests. The declaration, passed by a 4-1 vote, aims to provide resources like legal aid, tenant protections, and economic support for immigrant communities affected by the fear and disruptions caused by the raids. Mayor Karen Bass has publicly criticized the raids but focused on other responses, such as a separate emergency in Los Angeles on June 6, 2025, that she issued, in response to protests and what she called “civil unrest” in the city. Of course, the unrest came because of the actions taken by government, not the people. It was government action that initiated the problem.
++AG Pam Bondi not only loves the attack the right to keep and bear arms (as evinced by her push for Red Flag statutes in FLA when she was AG there), she likes ICE invading states, breaking into private property without warrants, shooting people, gassing people, throwing them to the ground, attacking dogs, harming and kidnapping kids, and more. And while she has no problem with ICE tracking people through facial recognition and license plate data, she doesn’t want YOU to know where the ICE goons who receive your money might be located. In addition to numerous civilians using apps to alert each other to the location of ICE criminals, the DC Dems have created a web-tracker site for people to report ICE locations and actions. Bondi doesn’t like that. LINK

IMMIGRATION, UK, BRITCARD
How many of you suspect that this prisoner was not “accidentally” released, but, instead, he was let out to generate even more UK societal anger re immigration and more support for Starmer’s dangerous and tyrannical BritCard e-ID system? LINK
OBAMACARE FASCISM
Dr. Oz appeared on FOX to toss around claims that he and the Trumpsters would replace Obamacare, but he is scarce on detail. The move is a topic of discussion because of the federal govt shutdown, which Trump’s HHS is saying will see the end of Biden-era subsidies and tax-rebates (really, overt subsidies, in many cases, because these levels of earnings don’t pay income taxes) and might see a widening of the ability of insurance companies to deny coverage for certain pre-existing conditions. SO, to be clear, nothing in the US CONstitution allows the feds to demand that businesses get insurance for employees, and nothing allows the feds to demand that we get insurance, ANNNND nothing in the US Constitution allows the feds to tell insurance companies what to cover, what their rates can be, and whom they can deny. Doing so forced healthier people to subsidize sicker people, raises costs, thus making it harder for people to afford health insurance, and inspires people to change their behavior, often waiting for a condition to arise before they get “coverage” (meaning, that’s not really INSURANCE). Additionally, he isn’t really talking about ending the federally funded medical system. He’s even mentioned EXPANDING MEDICARE. Oz has advocated extending private Medicare Advantage plans (which now cover over 50% of Medicare enrollees) to non-Medicare populations, potentially funded by payroll tax hikes—though this isn’t confirmed in the current plan.

TARIFFS
+The Trump tariffs and blocks on trade are raising prices for the corn needed for Mexican tortillas. LINK
+AND... Trump promises to increase his unconstitutional and immoral tariffs on Canada another 10% in response to the Ontario Province releasing its pro-free-trade ad featuring Ronald Reagan destroying the tariff argument. LINK Here is Breitbart on it. LINK
++This 10% tariff on all imports from Canada “over and above what they are paying now,” would apply universally to current tariffs (or lack thereof). Here’s a breakdown by key categories, including current rates, proposed new rates, and approximate shares of total US imports from Canada (based on 2023-2024 trade data, as 2025 full-year figures are preliminary but structurally similar; total imports ~$412 billion in 2024).
Notes on Variations:
USMCA-exempt goods dominate by value (e.g., machinery/transport equipment at ~26% of imports, mostly exempt).
These would see the smallest relative increase but a shift from duty-free status.
Energy is a large share but already lightly tariffed; the hike would double its rate, potentially impacting ~$123 billion in annual value.
General goods and steel/aluminum represent smaller but higher-rate categories; steel/aluminum alone accounts for ~$16-17 billion annually and faces the steepest proposed rate due to Section 232 national security tariffs.
Average Proposed Tariff Rate on All Canadian Goods
Using the weighted shares above, the current weighted average tariff rate on all US imports from Canada is approximately 8.9% (calculated as: (55% × 0%) + (30% × 10%) + (11% × 35%) + (4% × 50%) = 0% + 3% + 3.85% + 2% = 8.85%, rounded).
With the universal +10% addition, the proposed weighted average tariff rate would be 18.9% (current average + 10 percentage points, as the increase applies equally across all categories).
This is a simple weighted average based on import values; actual effective rates could vary slightly with trade shifts or further exemptions.
Comparison to Average Tariff Rate One Year Ago (October 2024)
****In October 2024—prior to the 2025 trade war escalations under the USMCA trade pact—the average effective tariff rate on US imports from Canada was effectively 0% (or <0.5% including minor non-compliant items like certain agricultural goods). The USMCA ensured 99% of bilateral trade was duty-free, with negligible revenue from tariffs ($100-200 million annually vs. $412 billion in imports). The proposed 18.9% would represent a ~3,800% increase from 2024 levels, dramatically raising costs on a $400+ billion trade flow and potentially adding ~$75 billion in annual duties if volumes hold steady.
