This week in our stewardship sermon series we move from God owning our every day life to God owning our every day. We make plans. We look to the future. We design our life, follow our map, walk according to OUR plan. Today we’ll be reminded that God has a plan for your life. God has a plan for your future, for your every day and it’s therefore His plans and His future that matters. We’ll remember today that we are simply enTRUSTed with the plans God has given us!

Some times we forget that we do not own ourselves...we are owned. God made you, HE “knit you together in your mother’s womb” and “your days are numbered and are in HIS book” as Psalm 139 says it. That means God owns your body and your life. More than that, as a Christian He has purchased and won you for eternity with the precious blood of Jesus and so your life is really, genuinely, absolutely...“His Life”...now and for eternity. Today we’ll remember then, we are enTRUSTed with the life the Lord has given us!

As we come to this final chapter of Jonah we’re reminded of how ridiculous we can be and how ridiculous God’s love is for us! Jonah’s pouting because God didn’t kill the Ninevites! What? How ridiculous, right? And yet, we’re looking in a mirror on this one. We’re often petty and pouty and well...ridiculous. And yet, our wonderful God seeks us and disciplines us and makes us better. Why? Well, because He is crazy in love with us in spite of all our weird ways. And because, He’s chosen to be involved in a ridiculously wonderful and ridiculously deep relationship with us both now and forever.
