Gear Up is the Duke Career Center’s student-produced podcast showcasing real student summer internship experiences. In each episode, we’ll interview a Duke student about their summer internship--where they worked, what they liked about it, what surprised them--from a variety of industries, positions, and places.
Hi there, my name's Stephanie and I'm a senior who works at the Career Center on the marketing team. One of the things I've noticed since working at the Career Center is that student to student advice and experience sharing can be really powerful. So we decided to create the student produced podcast series that we're calling Gear Up. The aim of gear up is to provide you the student body with access to a variety of real student summer internship experiences. I'm going to try to hit on every industry and field from NGOs to engineering to banking, and I'll ask students what their experience was, what they did day to day, what they liked or didn't like about it. We're hoping the series will give you the opportunity to hear from someone like you who actually interned at somewhere. You may be interested in working.
