Geek Fights

Star Trek, the go-to topic These are the voyages of the WORST STAR TREK EPISODE It's week long mission:To explore strange new geek logic To seek out new spite and new venomous hatred to boldly go where no Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Jason Grade, Allen and Jason Thompson have gone before

Yeah, this time around it's the worst, what more can we say. If you thought Best Star Trek was long winded, this is the longest one yet! (But at least it's just one!)

This time out we celebrate the best in not leaving well enough alone with BEST REMAKE/REBOOT! Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Paul Kowalski, thechrisbrown and Stephen Long as they find out if New Coke tastes better than New Trek! Will Nolan's Batman be kryptonite to Byrne's Man of Steel? Does modern Galactica find a home in the finals?  Can Dawn of the Dead's fast zombies make a run for the finish line? Can John Carpenters The Thing shapeshift to victory, or will Scarface make it say hello to his little friend? It's a parade of capitalizing on someone else's ideas!

Are you hungry for more Geek Fights? Well you're in luck as Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Adam Hegemeir, Karin, Thomas Coulton and Jason Thompson serve up a delicious helping of BEST SNACK FOOD. We all scream for ice cream, but will we vote for it? Will White Castle's slide through the brackets the way they slide through your body. Will pizza deliver? What is the best use of peanut butter, in a PBJ, on a spoon or in a Reese's Peanut Butter cup? And seriously, do carrot sticks stand a chance with a panel full of geeks?

Bon appetit!

Set a course for adventure with BEST SPACESHIP! Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Amin Amat, Paul Storrie and Brian Cross as they travel to the stars and beyond to find the best bucket of bolts this or any other galaxy has to offer. The Millenium Falcon did the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs, but can it deliver a win faster than the Planet Express? The NSEA Protector may be a USS Enterprise knockoff, but can it score a knockout? The CE3K ship may be a great Mother ship, but is it a bad motherfu**er? Can even an infinite improbability drive give the Heart of Gold a win? Especially when it's infinitely more improbable that the Serenity can avoid getting canned again. It's our most spite-filled episode yet!

It's a very special (and very unusual) episode of Geek Fights. If you thought the last episode was strange, this one's a doozy. This time out it's ROBOTS VS ALIENS with Damon Shaw and the fine folks of C2E2, recorded on the show floor, and the hotel bar, with whoever we could corral into playing. Hear Damon drunk and losing his voice. Also up are some conventions stories then and now.

It's our con episode recorded at C2E2 Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Brian Townsend, Kathy Lehman, Tess Craft and AJ Sinke attempt to discuss the BEST SUPER POWER. We thought recording live at a con with everyone in the same room was a good idea. We also thought making Geek Fights a drinking game was a good idea.

We were wrong

Sorry

Domo Arigato Mr Roboto! Its time for a little machine love with the BEST ROBOT! Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Barry Ingram, Michael Felsher and Pete Lucas as they pull a Consumer Reports and evaluate our robots, droids, androids and artificial lifeforms.  Can R2D2 pull some Jedi kung fu on Wall-E? Is Robbie the Robot, THE robot? Will Gort go all Klatuu Barada Nikto on Evil Ted? Johnny 5 may be alive but will Bender bend him into a robo-pretzel? Or will Mecha-Godzilla just crush them all like tins cans?

Brackets are a little late due to C2E2 ( that sounds like a droid! Check out the next 2 episodes for shows recorded at the con) but here they are: PDF and Excel format.

First the Marvel characters faced off, now it's time for the Distinguished Competition as Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz Chuck Farrell, Brian Townsend, and Kevin Lafferty bring you the DC COMICS SHOWDOWN. Is Mr. Freeze cooler than Captain Cold? Will Black Canary be left screaming for mercy or will Hush, be hushed? Can Batman take out Nightwing or Red Hood with a can of bat-sidekick repellent in his utility belt? Is a victory in Booster Gold's future? can Big Barda score a big win? Who will be the top DC dog? Listen and find out!

What's got three walls, 2 sets and canned laughter? Not us, we don't have walls or sets, but there's always plenty of laughter. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz Melvin Ladera, Chuck Farrell, Allen and Bret Black as they discuss the BEST SITCOM! Does our panel love I Love Lucy or is Seinfeld master of this domain? Can the Munsters scare away the Office? Will Happy Days have a happy ending? Will Scrubs get scrubbed? Will Taxi drive a way with a win? Listen and find out!

And there's lots of theme song love in this one!

We are doing things a little different this time, with 6 people on the show.  Damon Shaw hosts as Mike Ortiz, Kirky Wade, Anthony Valenta, Amin Amat and A.J. Sinke tackle HEROES VS VILLAINS! Can evil rule the day, or will good triumph in the end? The pairings are random so who knows how it will shake out. Will Fat Bastard devour Ripley, is Dr Horrible too horrible for Gizmo?  Will Xena slice and dice Hans Gruber? Will Marcellus Wallace go medieval on Mad Max? it's the classic struggle of good vs evil, Geek Fights Style
