Brandon and Joe have some last minute news for the MCFC convention next week, then Allan has a "fight me" challenge. Is Bette Midler the current queen of Halloween with Hocus Pocus 1 and 2? There are a lot of horror movies out there, but do they truly capture the spirit of modern Halloween? Is it really The Great Pumpkin or the Sanderson Sisters?

Brandon leads the charge into the upcoming Memphis Comic And Fantasy Convention and the many attractions including a lot of cosplay. The Geek Patrol dives into the history of costume and how their popularity and sorted history have led us to the amazing world of modern cosplay. Due to modern materials and technology, creating cosplay characters is only limited by your imagination.

Producer Claire joins the Geek Patrol for a chat about Estate Sales. Then, Joe gets an education on stage productions from Jackie Cooper and Eileen Cuo who will be performing "Through The Looking Screen". Scott J. Carroll stops by so that he and Brandon can tell everyone about the upcoming dramatic reading of scary stories. The bonus segment features Rainy Day Roses who tells Joe all about the art of cosplay for the upcoming MCFC.

Joe, Brandon, and Allan welcome Star Trek fandom expert James Weakley to the show. James has been a Star Trek presenter at the conventions for years and has lots of great stories and information. Joe and Brandon have their hands full with MCFC coming up on Nov. 1st. James and Allan get into a full on class on what it takes to be a great presenter at a convention.

Brandon and Joe try to help Allan understand why so many movies in 2025 have under performed so far. With so many factors to consider, Allan wants to know if we all missed something good. Just because a movie is not a hit at the movie theater, doesn't mean it wasn't good or even that it didn't make money. Are we all just waiting on streaming?

Besides general oddness, this brings up the question of why we collect things and what qualifies as collectable. They wrap up with a few of the Halloween-type events that will be happening at this year's MCFC.

Both conventions, CCC and MCFC, have had numerous challenges this year and both are looking forward to great events that the fans will love. Both conventions have made changes and upgrades that they can't wait to show off. CCC is in October and MCFC is in November. This is a great way to dive into the holiday season.

Max starts off the show with comments and questions about artistic collaborations. Stand art, anime, music, and the main stream movies have all benefited. Allan and Brandon explain the upgrades and tone changes of ChatGPT in the latest version to Joe. It is amazing how attached we get to our computers.

Brandon, Joe, and Allan explore the final season of The Sandman. In spite of the size of the cast and the complexity of the story presented in this series, the guys agree that there is real chemistry with the cast. Everyone on screen brought depth and believability to their characters. The guys all agree that this is a must watch for the folks that like complex story telling.
