Hello again fellow Gen X enthusiasts, 

Got to do a bit of travelling on a road trip down into the Southeast corner of California into Arizona for the first time.  Got to see Death Valley and Soutwest Arizona for the first time.  It has been a while since I have posted an episode but in this episode I was able to share what we saw and the significance of what we saw.  I enjoyed myself going on a road trip again.

Johnny and Starchy had the season off and asked 2 new folks to fill in and offer their thoughts of how the Christmas season went for them.  Elfie and Hermie did a show live from the North Pole and shared insight into what they have been doing for the entirety of each and every Christmas season that they have been a part of.  They also offered a bit of perspective on a colleague that became legendary in the Upper Arctic Region.

It's been a long time but Johnny got to reconnect with Starchy.  Mr Producer was on hand to offer insight on the Gen Z perspective of following the Fortiners and bringing up golf to a sports talk show that only talks about NBA and NFL.  

Johnny and Starchy spoke about many topics related to current events and how the San Francisco Fortiners look in 2023.

Dan De La Torre is the most prolific call-in radio talk show caller that has ever been on the legendary "Phil Cowan Radio Program".  This conservative political radio talk show used to air on KTKZ AM 1380 The Answer in Sacramento California from 6am till 9am from 2010 till Phil Cowan's retirement on April 1st 2022.   "Dan In Sonoma" would call in every morning in the 8 o'clock hour and Phil would chat with him about current events.  

Lately Mr. De La Torre has been calling the "Sean Eifertsen Show Segment" at 7:15am every morning Monday thru Friday to shed light on how he sees current events, relating to conservative politics.  The "Sean Eifertsen Show Segment"  airs in between the Salem radio network national programming of the Mike Gallagher show that currently airs on KTKZ AM 1380 The Answer from 6am till 9am.

Mr. De La Torre now is the focus of a new YouTube channel devoted to sharing his daily call in updates with Sean Eifertsen on KTKZ AM 1380 in Sacramento.

Johnny is going to a Sacramento Kings game very soon and he wanted to share his thoughts going into seeing the NBA in person.  The game will be against the Dallas Mavericks.  It will be the 2nd game of a back to back series.  Maybe the Mavericks will play Doncic then too in addition to the new acquisition Kyrie Irving.

In this episode Johnny gives an update on the state of affairs with his "go to" weekday morning radio station KTKZ AM 1380 The Answer in Sacramento California.  Johnny also shares a novel way that the station is "injecting" locality into an east coast nationally syndicated radio show on the Salem Radio Network.      

Johnny also gives an update on the Sacramento Kings, the San Francisco Fortiners, and the PGA Tour this weekend of Jan 28 and 29 2023.  Starchy is a big Fortiners Fan!!

Hello Fellow Gen X enthusiasts,

Johnny does an emergency podcast episode again to share with the loyal Phil Cowan / Ed Crane show listeners that he thinks that KTKZ AM 1380 The Answer in Sacramento California, a Salem Radio Network affiliate,  is now dead.  

Johnny listened to the first hour of the Mike Gallagher show in the first week of January 2023 and found it to be completely appalling for many reasons.  Johnny doesn't appreciate how all of the loyal listeners and callers have been left in the dust to be forced to listen to the blandest east coast nationally syndicated radio show ever.  

Johnny also reads something that he found inspiring from Christmas Time way back in 2012.

Johnny also, once again, brought up the option of someone hosting a ListenApp type of a radio show where followers to a podcast can call in and engage with a host to have a lively exchange discussing topics and current events.  ListenApp, by the way, is what Grant Napear is currently using to engage with his fan base that used to listen to him in Sacramento when he was a sports talk radio show host and also a TV broadcaster with the Sacramento Kings.

Hello Gen X Enthusiasts, 

Happy New Year 2023.  Johnny wanted to share his experience meeting Erik Estrada in 2022 and wanted to share his thoughts on the future of doing podcasting in general.  

Ed Crane is no longer on morning radio from 6 till 9 on KTKZ AM 1380 in Sacramento California.  Ed could not keep the show running after Phil Cowan retired back on April 1 2022.  Johnny is sad that all of the loyal callers that used to call the Phil Cowan Show are no longer going to have a live and local call-in radio show that discusses news, politics, and stupidity. 

Johnny also discusses that there are options in being able to have a talk show type of radio show online with something called ListenApp.  All it takes is for followers to a ListenApp show to get the app on their phones and then raise their hand during an event to express their vocalized comments during the show.  Grant Napear is a former Sacramento sports talk show host that is currently using this platform and it seems to work.    

 Hope all of the 2 people that regularly listen are doing well and thanks again for listening to our little podcast show.

Hello again Fellow Gen X Enthusiasts,

In this episode Johnny travels to a TV room far far away to have a talk with a young padawan learner named Mr. Producer.  Johnny and Mr. Producer discussed what Star Wars means to 2 members of different generations.  As a GenXer Star Wars is a movie genre that encapsulates a degree of nerdom that was only available in short supply back in the 70s and 80s.  But today Star Wars is offered to be consumed in every possible way.  Back in Gen X times Star Wars was only offered in movies, VHS tapes, cereals, toys, lunch boxes, and an arcade game.  Today Star Wars is offered in many many more mediums.
