This week takes Andy through the thronged (and flirtatious, but only if you’re good-looking enough) streets of Berlin as the May-Day festivities bring forth the young and old alike for a day of dancing, drinking, and the forging of friendships.
But wait! What has Ed been doing all week?
For the full answer to that very valid question, we cordially invite you to listen to this week’s episode of The Get Folked Podcast. Unfortunately, it involves battling some latent and highly embarrassing adolescent acne, which has been lying dormant for 25 years. Apparently, it can do that.
What does it mean to be a European? Is it a geographical location? Is it a belief in the great modern democratic ideals? Is a set of shared economic goals?
Is it sitting naked and sweaty in cloud of pine scented steam with a group of hairy men for no other reason than to strictly observe a set of well defined and long established rules so as to achieve some vague and ill-defined health benefits while drinking beer?
It’s a good question.
It’s actually a very good question.
Welcome to this week’s episode of The Get Folked Podcast.
Berlin’s modular scene is surgically dissected using a spoon and a fridge magnet with predictable results as the boys break down their understanding of the beeping and the booping. The lads take a small peak into what’s “fresh” on the internet but what they find can be better described as stale and sticky. Ed’s optimistic, Andy less so but the view from the trenches is never too bright. Get Folked.
Ed breaks out the Bob at his local session and while Arthur’s oil lubricates the word flow, it tends to seize the engine. A predicament no doubt but further study is required before any rash decisions are made.
The lad's next gig is fast approaching, a high profile wedding nestled in the French riviera awaits. They must ensure that their high expectations and dedication to detail does not detract from the solemnity of the event.
Hump begossy was Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepin……get folked ya’ll.
Direct from Austria, and lauding the famous exploits of one of history’s greatest ever goat hunters, Andy brings a veritable alpine avalanche of positive presence and panache, all while drinking a beer from what is possibly a cock pump.
And Ed is also speaking during this episode.
It’s the Get Folked Podcast.
It’s a late and solo addition to The Get Folked Podcast canon as Ed takes us through a typical late-night thought map sojourn. The destination is unknown, but it’s really all about the journey and with waypoints like surgically engorged penises and lemon curd yogurts, what a journey it will be.
Join us for the better late than never episode of The Get Folked Podcast.
Better late than never! Andy and Ed finally get their sh!t together and get this week’s episode out.
The subject matter is diverse, and for some reason their collective outlook on things this week can best be described as “cranky old man” so get prepared, dear listener, for a stern talking to as the guys delve into what it is that ails society.
Hint: “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.” - Basically, it’s lower back pain. Welcome to The Get Folked Podcast.
Morning time madness descends onto The Get Folked Podcast this week as Ed is forced out of bed at the un-Godly time of 09:30 to record this week. But he totally doesn’t make a big deal about it and is completely over it and ultimately, neither sleep nor wakefulness will help him to answer that eternal question: Just how much should we fear the swans?
And Andy shows flashes his pre-frontals this week as he reviews either the basketball scene or the zoological scene in Berlin, it’s unclear from time to time and depends upon what sentence you choose to listen to. He also throws in a book review for a finish. Isn’t he so cultured (not a question).
It’s all you could possibly want and more from The Get Folked Podcast.
Ed and Andy briefly discuss what it takes to keep a town tidy before moving on to one of this week’s central subjects; the emotionally rousing musical scores of Hans Zimmer as performed by a string quartet, which Andy went to see this week. Actually, they were a Quintet if you count the really smelly guy that Andy had to sit beside as part of the performance, which we do. . . . . . So well done to everyone on that.
Also up for grabs this week; how to select a decent (and knobby) coffee shop, a bit about the weather and how it relates to Andy’s reading habits, and further discussions on Spa etiquette, on which the official position of The Get Folked Podcast is: You can never hear enough discussions on Spa etiquette.
So join us for more. It’s The Get Folked Podcast.
The rise and fall of a chat group, tackling the homeless problem, sex-ed and naked ice baths. Good folk, Get Folked!
