Smooth reading, with great illustrations for little ones

I enjoyed reading this story at story time tonight! I give it extra credit for using important, yet easy vocabulary. The sounds that you'll make reading this to your children are fun and the pictures will keep them interested. If you need something to read them tonight, it looks great in the Kindle app.

Where does The Incredible Flying Jonesy rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

The narration is without doubt the best that I have ever heard. Literally brings the book and all its characters to life and perfect entertainment for my sons.

What did you like best about this story?

Among all the fun there are subtle and wonderful morals to live by. If Lambpants could produce a library of similar stories and wisdom - say half an hour a day for the next ten years, then my boys will be guaranteed to turn into funny, wise and kind young men. Thanks

I bought this as a used book. It was in such great shape, I thought it was new. I'd highly recommend the distributor.

Awful

Came completely torn up and written on. Was giving it to a friend named Lucy as a gift and was highly disappointed to receive the book in such terrible condition.

Sweet!

This book is so adorable. Lucy can't sleep so she gets a snack, plays dress up, sits on the porch...she's a little naughty, but the story is beautifully written and the illustrations are simple and lovely. My three-year-old loves this story.

It's time for bed but little Lucy can't drift off to sleep. She tries all sorts of things like a midnight snack and going for a walk. Finally after doing all sorts of things she wears her self down and is able to drift off.

My kids and I could not help but wonder where Lucy's parents were during all of this. Cute story but not very believable.

A Delightful Story I Enjoyed Reading!

This book reminded me of my own childhood pet. I love animals and children do too. I never got a chance to go to a pet store to pick out my dog snoopy, but, I felt the excitement through the character named Rebecca. Every child dreams of having a pet that they can play with and Rebecca was no exception. In my humble opinion, this wonderful story was a happy experience all children should go through. I am a preschool teacher who looks at books with a teacherâs prospective. Every book written for children should have an educational experience. âRebeccaâs First Petâ can be used in the classroom and it can be used with a whole lesson plan based on key characters in the book. For example, this book can be read during circle time or it can be used in a themed lesson. The lesson plan can talk about pets and how to take care of them. The teacher, can also do and educational activity such as, âwhat is the difference between a dog and a cat?â The children can have fun answering the question. The author was on the right track because at the end of the story, were questions that can be answered by the child or children. This author knew that a book is not just for reading, that it was also for learning and comprehending. Allowing children to comprehend what they heard is important for their memory skills, as well as learning to understand what they hear. I look forward to seeing more books from this gifted author!

My 9 year old and I enjoyed it!

I purchased this book on my Kindle for my 9 year old to read. She is having trouble in school struggling to retain and remember information she just read and I went ahead and downloaded Rebecca's First Pet mainly because of the questions and answers it included. We read through the questions together before even reading the book. Then, we read through the book together and answered the questions. She had to go back and look for some of the answers but that's okay, she needs to learn to do that. Overall we both enjoyed the book. It was well written, with no grammar errors that I noticed. I found it very age appropriate for my daughter and she was very engaged!

OMG, What a Cute Story!

When they first get to the pet store, I also agreed with Rebecca. To this day, when I see kittens or puppies all together at pet stores, I cringe at the idea of only taking one and leaving the rest behind...it feels too much like separating a family.

This story reminded me of "my" first pet. I say "my" in quotation marks because my sister actually bought it but couldn't take it with her to her apartment, so the pet stayed with me and my mother and grandmother. Her name was Grindel and I always thought of myself as her aunt, and she was the same colors as Rebecca's choice, so that choice certainly put a smile on my face!

Love the "Duck" books by Jez Alborough! This one is a great follow up to Duck in a Truck. I like to read these to my preschoolers when we do the Transportation theme. Great for rhyming, too!

Gift for my nephew

This was shipped promptly and arrived in time for my nephews birthday. My sister gave me a list of books he would like and the duck series was among his new favorites.

My son loves it!

This is an outstanding book!

When I first read this book to my four year old son, it put a smile on my face and my son kept laughing and asking me to re-read it - which was a first. I had read many books to him before, but this captured his imagination. He takes it with him in the car wherever we go, so he can leaf through it. He has bonded with the animals in the book.

The animals are loveable, the duck is wonderfully refreshing, and the illustrations are vibrant and larger than life. I would recommend this highly to any parent looking for a clean, refreshing book for their preschooler.

I hope the author continues writing more books like these.
