A decent sequel

Not quite as good as the original but still a good story. It felt a little too short and could have used a couple more pages to fully flesh out the story.

Five Stars

Fun for the class!

Language: English

Release date: 06-20-13

Publisher: Harmonic Wave

The farmer invites him in for dinner and to spend the night. Unbeknownst to the farmer, his wife had been entertaining the local sexton for dinner but had hidden both the food and the sexton as her husband returned home. Klaus had seen the food being hidden away, so he pretended he had a wizard in his sack and that the wizard conjured up an extravagant meal and had hidden it in the oven. The farmer believed the wizard story, and offered him a bushel of money for the wizard sack - but also state that he must take away the cabinet where the sexton had been hidden.

Little Klaus does so, and then further extorts more money from the sexton. He then tricks Big Klaus into thinking he had received all the money from his horse skin, and Big Klaus proceeds to make a fool of himself. Enraged, Big Klaus goes to kill Little Klaus, but accidentally gets Little Klaus' recently dead grandmother instead. Little Klaus then pulls another prank using his dead grandmother and winds up with another bushel of money AND another way to get back at Big Klaus!

My daughter's favorite!!!

I purchased this book because a student of mine suggested it. I attempted to purchase this book on Books-A-Million however, they weren't currently in stock so I tried Amazon. I read this book to my daughter and she loved it! The descriptive tone is very insightful and the character careers are so lively. My daughter immediately started telling me what she wanted to be when she graduate from High School and she's only 6. It's now her favorite book by far!

Great story & sentiment

Fun Careers is a nice little story for kids & their parents or teachers to explore. Amy is shown in 26 roles, showing that --- girls can grow up to be anything they want! The illustrations are very pleasant and attractive. I recommend the book. I wish it had been in a more durable binding, but maybe in the next printing, this will happen.

An inspiring children book

This book is inspiring to kids of all ages. The picture are bright and colorful, and the descriptions are very informative. Every since my children read this book all they talk about is what they want to be when they grow up and what they need to do to accomplish it. Thank so much Modesta!
