Not my favorite Kayla Perrin book.

PERSONALLY I DIDNT CARE FOR THIS STORY. I FOUND IT TO BE A LITTLE CONFUSING HOW THE AUTHOR FLIP FLOPPED BETWEEN THE FOUR MAIN CHARACTORS. IT WAS A LITTLE HARD FOR ME TO FOLLOW WITHOUT HAVING TO REWIND EVERY SO OFTEN.

Not Much of a Story & Repetitive Scenes

There was not much substance-no idea who may enjoy it.

Nope, it just did not hold my interest. It was not a 'page turner' & with 4 hours left I just kept checking on how much time was left.

OUTCH ..... WARNING - IT WAS HOT

Witches, pagan magic, dark rituals, a lot of sex is all entwined in an erotic love .... One doomed and one to be fought for. I like paranormal romance but this was a bit too dark and depressing for me and there seemed to be more sex than story. I like a dose of sex with my romances but I think this should be under the Erotica section for any unsuspecting listener.

Coupled with that, the narrator was AWFUL - I had it on double speed and she was still terrible - not right for this book at all, Infact I don't know what book she would be good for !

Worth a credit? If you like the sounds of the above then you'd say yes but for me it's a NO.

Avoid audio version

Fantastic storyline but avoid this audiobook. Get the book version instead. The reader nearly destroyed the book for me.

Witches, Ghost and Sex, Oooh Myyyy!

If you like a good ghost story with lots of hot steamy sex, you will like this one.The narrator was ok. However, the lushious character Gray would have been so much better with a rich, deep and sexy voice. Phil Gigante cannot be beat for this type of narration. I would not let this narrator keep me from downloading the audio because the story is entertaining.

Very Entertaining!

This story has more to it than you would expect. The storyline is not as cheesy as the write up leads on. It kept my interest. Worth a credit.

Not sure if this story is poorly written or the narration is especially bad. It is very difficult to hear the different "voices" of the characters. Many times I had to figure out who was speaking. Save your money.

Heated Paranormal Romance

Amanda LaGrange and Jacob Caine have known each other for about two years, since the day Jacob started to work for the PARA agency, and took an instant dislike to each other, or so they both thought.

For years Amanda has been trying to come to terms with her ability to see ghosts. An ability that she believes is the reason her father left her mother and that has spiraled into a form of self doubt that finally leads Amanda to jumping onto the first reason she has to leave the agency to move in with a perfectly normal man with no paranormal gifts.

As for Jacob his gift allows him to empathically read anyone he touches and he's been working his way through numerous one night stands in an effort to put the betrayal of his fiance behind him. That bed hopping action has only added to the tension between himself and Amanda.

For her last job their boss teams them up to investigate a possible haunted house, and a run in with an enchanted clock forces the two of them to face the buried desires they both share.

As a whole not a bad listen, the narrator put me off a little as she tends to have this slightly monotone aspect to her reading at times. The story is well paced and enjoyable if what you're looking for is a light read/listen with a decent level of sensuality.

Not Horrible considering the genre

Given this is both a paranormal romance and a Harlequin Romance, you get what you should expect. Shallow story, hot sex, and vapid characters.

Annoying!

I don't know that I have ever had to suffer through two more annoying characters in in a Lisa Jackson novel. This book could have been summed up in half the time if either person knew how to have a straight-forward conversation. But, instead, they constantly danced around misunderstandings until you just wanted to scream! I gave myself a headache from constant eye-rolling. Save your money and time (and, trust me, you'll want both of them back!) and skip this one.

Good story....bad audiobook

This book had a descent story....but it was a stretched out too long. The book could honestly been summed up in less hours than what it is. The narrotor was horrible as well....spoke super slow-could put you to sleep.....also has spots in the story were the narrator has to stop and re-read a sentence....not really worth the money.
