    Publisher's Summary:
The year is 2031. The United States has sealed itself off from the rest of the world. The state of the country is dire; the Constitution is ancient history, the poverty level is at an all-time high, and there is more corruption in the government than ever before. And oh yeah, Mel Gibson is president. But something is wrong with Mr. Gibson. He doesn't seem quite...human. What unfolds is a battle unlike any other. Bring on the Invaders, a secret society whose mission is to destroy the unknown forces in D.C. and take back this country.
From Marc Richard, author of Degrees of Separation and Those Eyes, comes a dark political science fiction thriller-comedy the likes of which you have never witnessed. Dystopia has never been this funny.

HORSE SHIT THAT THEY THINK PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR
All the PAID FOR REVIEWERS, said this was great. It was funny in parts, but it was more politics and not so much science fiction. This is not John Scalzi or Christopher Moore. If your not getting paid to listen, than I suggest you spend your money elsewhere.
Mr. Richard is going places..... Probably hell .... And they will be glad to see him.
I have to admit I thought this whole thing was a joke of some sort when I first saw it on FB. Then seeing FREE I assumed it was going to be horrible. I'm very pleased to say I was wrong on both accounts. It's pretty dang funny. I was reminded of Christopher Moore ( who I adore) and I can't wait to read ( listen to )more of Marc Richards works.
    A great listen!
If you could sum up DAVE! (A Novel from the Future), Part 1: The Invaders in three words, what would they be?
    Funny, Different, Enticing
Who was your favorite character and why?
Carlton, his overall attitude and secret made "him" a character that i wanted to continue listening to!
Which character as performed by David S. Dear was your favorite?
Iron-Gut, the way he got his nickname and his overall view on events/life were hilarious.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Where "Making America Great Again" leads us!
    Any additional comments?
The book was funny and overall very interesting. It keeps the listeners attention and makes you excited for the next part of the series. The narration was excellent and easy to distinguish between different characters. It also allowed for easy conclusion of the characters personality/background just by listening to the different accents and attitudes. *I was given a credit so i could listen to this book and provide an honest review*
    DAVE
I wasn't too excited by this one.David S.Dear was a good narrator. The USA is in trouble.President Mel Gibson seems to be acting weirder than normal.A faction of aliens may be able to help.I was given this book free for an honest review.
A great new voice in comedy and horror
What made the experience of listening to DAVE! (A Novel from the Future), Part 1: The Invaders the most enjoyable?
The narrator was great, but most importantly the tone of the story was on point.

    Entertaining Classic Zombie Story
    Any additional comments?
This is book 4 in the series, I have not listened to the previous installments of the series. While it wasn't really a problem to follow the story line, I think my enjoyment of the story would have been that much more had I read the previous installments and had more of a connection to the characters through their backstories. At some point I would like to read the previous books in the series.
Entertaining and enjoyable classic zombie apocalypse story that is in it's 12th year after the collapse of civilization. This story happens to take place in and around England. The pockets of humanity that have managed to survive this far are struggling even more as time goes by. The situations the survivors find themselves in are realistic. In a constant struggle to survive can they find any place that is safe?
    What an epilogue.
Andrew B. Wherlen did a great job with the narration. Nice voice, easy to listen to for hours on end. Smooth even pace of narration. Great character voices. Always enjoyable listening to his narration.
Repeated line in chapter 6, about 38 min in.

    Good clasic zombie book
I really enjoyed this audio book. Classic zombie story with survivors several years into the harsh new world. This story line was very exciting. Easy to get into even though I started the series on #4. I received this for free for an honest review.
    Zombie genre at its best
4th book in the series. I have not read the others yet I still immensely enjoyed the authors story as it was well delivered by the narrator.

    fresh, suspenseful and dynamic
Following the completely compelling Tainted Cure and Tainted Reality, Ashley Fontainne returns with the third installment in The Rememdium series. This exceptional zombie apocalypse saga really should be read in order. In Tainted Future, the remaining survivors are trying to cope as best they can with their new, gruesome reality. However, life is not just about finding provisions and escaping the human "munchers" now. There are additional, unforeseen dangers that the survivors soon become aware of, which force the different groups to cooperate and which create some rather unlikely heroes and heroines. I love it that Ms. Fontainne still manages to surprise me with the way the characters are developing. While further new characters are introduced and some beloved characters fall by the wayside, others will amaze you with their determination and craftiness. The story line boasts a really good mix of exciting zombie action and fighting, and emotional human stories that pull you in and make you care about the characters. Ashley Fontainne and Rebecca Roberts make such a fantastic team that I will now listen to anything they produce even if it is outside the standard genres that I tend to go for. Ms. Roberts's narration is as stellar as ever. She really brings this story to life for me with her different voices and accents that are entirely convincing and completely appropriate for the characters she portrays. There were no concerns regarding the quality of the production.
Although this is the third book in the series, and I am not sure how many parts are planned, there are plenty of new plot developments to keep this fresh, suspenseful and dynamic. I look forward to the next installment of this addictive series and would highly recommend all the books to anybody who enjoys thrilling stories about the destruction of the world which are more than pure action yarns but feature thoroughly developed characters.

A Story of Surviving Massive Storms
I love weather stories. I took a meteorology class in college because I wanted to learn more about extreme weather. I also (if you couldn't tell by my other reviews) love post-apocalyptic books so when I saw that this seemed to combine both of them into one package I was pretty excited.
The story revolves around Ryan and his small town in Texas. A major tornado hits the town, and then another and another. Things turn from bad to worse in a heartbeat and everything gets turned upside down. Ryan's son is injured and his wife is missing. Everything has fallen apart in a matter of hours.
First and foremost -- this is a post-apocalyptic book. Not the zombie apocalypse or and EMP strike. But mother nature unleashing her fury and leveling part of the earth. It's not as much about the weather as it is about the survival of one family. Go into this thinking that you're going to be watching some of Twister mixed a little with the story part (saving his son) in The Day After Tomorrow and you'll enjoy it. If you go into it thinking you're going to get an in-depth look at what a tornado is and the destruction that it does and you'll be disappointed.
Tom Kruse's narration was a little rough. He definitely over-acted the entire book and it made parts of it hard to listen to. A tip that some/most audiobook reviewers won't give you -- speed the book up a little. Sometimes small things that bother me at normal speed go away at faster speeds. That was the case with Tornado Warning. Kruse's voice definitely became less of an annoyance and more of a narration at faster speeds.
Overall this floated between a 3 and a 4 for me. I think that I'm going to rate it closer to a 4 because I enjoyed the heck out of this book. It was a different post-apocalyptic story and I liked the characters and their interactions.
    To be continued...
I want to review this book I really do BUT I simply can't get past that horrific narrators voice . I wish I could get someone to give me a book to read for review purposes, it wouldn't be so painful then
    Slow
If anyone has ever been in a tornado this is very unrealistic.

    Very interesting
Many years in the future things are not the same as we seem them today, in the future earth has been attacked by aliens many times over. They have made allies with other plants working together to keep peace. The Grays need something and knows earth has it, the allies are trying their best to keep peace but the Grays are having nothing of it. This is not a romance book although it does have romance in it which is put together in an interesting way. There is a gay scene but as with the romance part it isnt gone into it that much. In other words you will not find sex scenes here which is totally find by me. I am torn a little on the rating so I will leave that until the end. I have listened to one other audio by this author which really blew me out of the water. This is good but not that good. The plot is built around war and Mairin who they want to give a DNA transplant from her grandfather. Over a few days she will sleep when waking she should know most of what her grandfather has learned before he died. They are testing this in hopes to make her a fighting power like no other. In short they can take a no body that has no future and make them a killing machine with heart and soul wanting nothing more than to protect the lands.
MS. Kay narration is delightful with lots of emotions as she takes us on a journey of love, pain, sorrow and dreams. Her character voices were wonderful she has no problem delivering true emotion to her characters. Mairin character voice she it right on the money. So of her character voices sounded a little too much the same at times I did have trouble keeping them apart. It doesnt take away from the audio that much and I could work out who is talking at any giving time. She did make it a very interesting listen as she lays out the plot you are spellbound. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. There were no background noises, no repeating or words just a very clean and clear audio.
I found this to be a very interesting listen some of it is believable with other parts not so much. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. I really liked how you saw things from many different sides getting to know what each character was thinking. I thought at time things moved a little fast. I am unsure of the love triangle there are no winners. Earth and many other plants won the war pretty much before it began.

    Oh no moment!
I had one of those 'oh no' moments when I first purchased this title.I was not aware this was the second book in a series - was this one going to make any sense? But I needed have worried because one of the unique things about this series is that you the reader can contact the author with a location for the next in the series. You just have to explain why you think the location would be a good one. Apparently, only one or two characters are involved in other locations. So in reality it makes no difference if you are reading or listening to the first or the second or the eighth for that matter! It really is seperate zombie stories based upon suggested locations given to the author.
I got to admit I like this idea of the author, it is a novel idea and I am happy to say I think the author has the talent to make it work!
Speaking of the authors talent, he is also the narrator for this title and he really does an excellent job with that as well. Far better then some I have heard recently on new releases!
Strangely I couldnt help but think of R. R Haywoods Undead series. Perhaps it was just the location (England) and or the similar name, perhaps it might even be the cover design which have the same sort of layout? This one certainly doesnt go down the same path as the Undead series in looking at the reason or even nature of the zombie outbreak. But it is equally as entertaining!
DEAD: Snapshot: Leeds, England does have a couple of surprises I cant give to much away but it does remind me a little of
Z Children: Awakening: Children of the Z, Book 1 which I reviewed earlier.
The start of the audio title includes a bit of information about the series and just some of the observations from the author about his writings.

    This Should Be Cannon
If you are a King Kong fan then you might want to give this a listen. Why, because there are questions that you may have that this book seeks to answer . Did you know for instance that there has been more than one Kong on Skull Island? What is the backstory of the Kong we know and love? What is the story of the people of Skull Island? These and other queries are addressed chief of which is what happened to the man that captured Kong? The story I feel could have been better written and it goes on a bit long for my taste. I feel though many will find it interesting. The Reader is a bit over dramatic and breathless for me. Despite that because of the questions this novel seeks to answer King Kong fans might find it's lure irresistible.
    Overly excited narrator
The story keeps in the tradition of the original King Kong--a fantastic adventure that feels like a 1930s pulp. Some implausible plot developments keep the story from ever rising above that, though. Unfortunately, the narration overplays and overdramatizes everything. It is overly melodramatic, read as though the text were punctuated with lots of exclamation points!!!! Rather than impose such an excitable interpretation, I wish the production team had allowed the narrative to carry itself.

Bad luck is interesting when the star is competent
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Make the main character competent. The premise of the book is interesting, you have someone that goes from place to place, and everywhere she goes interesting things happen. However, she never actually solves the problems, and always seems to be the dumbest person around. Like another reviewer has said it is almost dumb luck she survives.
What three words best describe Ryan Kennard Burkes performance?
    Lack of Detail
I feel like the narrator did a good job for 90% of the book. However, I was really frustrated by the lack of attention to detail on Japanese words. Many times the narrator would give an attempt to pronounce European languages with accuracy, but not Japanese.
I feel like the author should have spent a couple of hours talking to a Japanese person that teaches Japanese so they cold learn to pronounce words properly. I am not sure how many times a cringed at pronunciation, and a few times was confused about what the word was.
    Any additional comments?
There are some interesting things about the universe that really intrigue me. Main one being the communication the author has incorporated how we communicate today via text with emoji's and projected that into the future a possible way we communicate. Not solely the means of communication, but how we do now as a new forms of punctuation. Was an interesting interpretation.
I also found the religion aspect very interesting because the author goes a different way with it. He still brings in like most sci-fi, that religion is antiquated and a problem for humanity, however, he introduces the character to it and while she is not religious it does influence her in positive ways. I am not describing my observations very well, but it was interesting twist in how a sci-fi author works with religion.
I got the sense the author spent more time on universe building than character and plot development because the universe is very interesting.
The series where things just kind of work out in the end.
The setting is of particular interest in the trilogy where the author makes some interesting assumptions on social networking, communication, as well as some great ideas for a space faring humankind future (The unironic use of emojis mid sentence or as punctuation, as another reviewer has stated, is odd at times but generally feels right with the setting).

    Hard to put down- exciting
This one was a definite "page turner". In my case, since I was listening to the audio, that meant I walked around with headphones in my ears almost non-stop for 3 days. This book has two "mysteries" to keep the reader engaged. The one is a sci-fi thriller that finds the "admiral" and three military trainees trying to rescue themselves from a deadly situation on an inhospitable planet while trying to figure out what caused their transport to crash and the barebones crew to die. The other is the mystery surrounding the "admiral"-- who is he and why is he so secretive about his identity? The thriller part was exciting and satisfying. The mysterious identity of the "admiral" was a little less satisfying to me, but at least I got an answer. (It was so close to the end I was afraid it might not be revealed.) For all the secrecy shrouding him, I felt like the explanation could have been a little less anti-climactic. It wasn't a complete letdown, but it was a little (for me). Nevertheless, overall the book was still a very good read (or listen). The reader of the audiobook did a very good job. I'm glad I took the chance on a book with so few reviews (though good ones). Definitely worth my time and my Audible credit.
    Admiral?
So this was actually the first time I listened to a book with no reviews (when I got it), it was pretty good overall. The narrator did a good job, it was also the first time I've heard him. I felt he fit this book well. When I first read the synopsis I thought this was going to be very similar to other stories- they wake up, they don't remember who they are, they have to survive. Pleasantly, I was surprised that wasn't the case. They wake up, they know who they are, not each other, and other things happen- sorry no spoilers. The writer did a good job keeping me entrenched in the story, not giving all answers until the final minutes of the book. This is well worth a credit and a very easy listen. No harsh language, so I'd say it's good for most ages f that is a concern.
    it awesome strory
the story is mystery and suspense with lot of hidden plots give it chance it start slow. but it become to be a awesome story
Get this now, you won't be sorry.
I could not put this story Down.
I think this is great SF,, I will look for any other books by this author.
A bland story with some bland characters
The story starts out interesting enough with 4 soldiers awaking from a stasis sleep on a freight starship and none knowing the others nor the circumstances surrounding their current situation.
