Ok I have the same hang up as I did in book 1 Only switched we got a lot of Matty and what he wants and what his past was like. And thats great but what about Lucy.

What do we really know? Not a whole lot and that makes me sad because I want to know about her too.

Together they make sense. A lot of dramalama and sometimes I like it but sometime I dont and this one for me I was on the fence. I think Lucy over reacts to much over the small things and it just causes communication issues that never had to happen.

Ace is great at the beginning of the book but why cant a guy and girl be just friends No we have to have drama.. and then jealousy YUCK I was hoping this was going to be better than that.

Its still a good read and it had my interested all the way through.

Narration was ok I liked both, ok I like the male parts the best. :p

Female lead is an idiot!!!

I wanted a fluffy little dirty story. This is not well written at all. The narrator need to pick a Nother field. This is in the romance package so that is all of the complaining I will do. That is the only reason I will not rent. I might try another book if there is an NotherReader

I usually love Ivy Layne

First I'd like to say that every Ivy Layne book that I've read prior to this one, I loved. She has a way with creating characters and scenarios that makes it hard to put her stories down without finishing them. This story however fell flat for me. I had a hard time finishing it. The voice for the audible narration drove me nuts. The accent, tone, emotion etc. were all off. It distracted from the story. The characters and their back story was another issue. The female was so needy, clueless and self destructive that it was hard to imagine that she watched over her brother and not the other way around. Plus can we say low self-esteem. I know plenty of curvy women and they do not walk around feeling like they somehow deserve less because of their curves. It was hard to believe that a strong alpha male would find interest in someone like her. Being meek or even naive is one thing, but she was straight up clueless. She fought against his help, then cried that she didn't know what to do on her own. Uh hello, except the damn help of the man you supposedly trust because you have developed a friendship over the course of 3 years. This situation was to unrealistic and the female was hella annoying. I will continue to read Ivy's stories, because as I said before, I usually love them, but this one is a No!

Another Month of Naughty Goodness

Now in August and the story line is still completely unexpected each month. I've really enjoyed these short stories. The characters charm me with a new twist each month.

What made the experience of listening to August the most enjoyable?

August has been one of my favorite months. Some twist and the book ended with me wanting more. Bring on September.

She does a great job giving the characters their own personality and makes the story easy to follow. Great Narration.

The book was somewhat predictable but really great story. A few twist. I am excited to see what September brings and how she reacts to the new chain of events.

Not a Mia Fan

The story lines are very entertaining. But the more I learn about Mia, she has become the next to least favorite of all the characters, her friend Jennifer is the worst.

I love all of the male characters. But Mia's character has been written into this woman with some common sense that consistently gets over ridden by ignorance, stubbornness and bad judgment. This often comes off leaving this reader frustrated.

Twist and Turns

I LOVE this series! August is a great month. The plot twist and turns will have you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read September.

If I'd wanted a cook book, I would have bought one.

I was so excited to see this behind the scenes book and was even more excited that it was on sale for $11 from $20 although it was still a little pricy for a 3 hour book.

I was fuming with anger and felt completely ripped off within 30 minutes into the 1st chapter!! It was redundant with authors notes and recipes - yes - full recipes for pies, bread and skunk smell removal. What a waste. I'll be requesting a refund!

You can just skip this. it isn't necessary to follow the series and it's really just a few deleted chapters, from the books. Just go on to Reapers fall.

Ties a lot together

This author is phenomenal. as the books go on there are more and more of those moments that blow you away. I love how so many things get tied together. this Reapers MC series has been a great distraction from my reality that's been difficult after being in my own motorcycle accident and followed that more recently I lost my sister. I enjoy just listening to these audiobooks while I'm at work in the office, I just float away into the Reapers MC world.

As for the book itself, I've listened to several biker audiobooks in the past several months. The Reapers MC is definitely the most enjoyable. I questioned paying for this 4.5 book because it's short but it was worth it for sure. Don't let the length fool you, it ties a lot together.

I just wish audiobooks were cheaper. I'm going broke over them. ha. but these readers are so great.

I was like really, the end? I don't want their story to end. I loved how they were together. An unusual start and loving ending. And I did not understand Phillip at all. I hope one of these is about him.

wow... Perfect cure for my book rut...

As of lately I have encontered a lot of book IDNF... halfways thur i just loose interest... Rough Hard fierce was not one of those.. this book is completely Alpha and hot... never lost my attention and greatlly written... i loved Colin and Ally's story... i dont want to give much away and spoil it but if your stuck in a book rut lije i was give this audible a try you just may end up living it and find a new favorite author.. i know i did!

Where to start?.....Ok let's have some real talk here... First off this series was the first set that I've read by Skye Warren. I've had this series on my TBR list forever but was too chicken. Guess what I am so glad I caved and read! I'm now a fan and can't wait to pick up the next Skye Warren book on my list.

So you're probably wondering why it took me so long. I'll be honest with you some of the reviews scared me to death so I'm going to clear up a few things (in my opinion) about this series. First there are a few triggers in this book, rape. Yes Allie was raped as a child by her "bestfriend" which in turn gave her the idea that ALL men don't stop at the word NO. In my opinion this is totally understandable being that this happened to her at such a young age. Second yes there is prostitution/escort in this book do I agree with Shelly, Shelly is Allie's best-friend and neighbor, choose profession? No BUT sometime you have to do what you have to do to survive. Now on to the secrets and boy oh boy are there secrets being kept throughout this series. Am i going to tell what these secrets are..NOPE READ to find out :-) Some are justifiable and some you're going to be like "really just tell the damn truth because you know there is going to be trouble when the truth comes to light."

Ok so I've touched on Allie and Shelly now Bailey is the little ray of sunshine throughout these books. She is Allie daughter that she had with her rapist/ex-bestfriend Andrew. This little girl always makes her presence known when things get a little too intense. Now on to Colin. Colin meets Allie during one of her "date nights" at the club. Colin isn't one of Allie's regular "date night" hook ups.

Brian and Lisa continued

The story of Brian and Lisa continues by Brian aka Ice going to Jones Beach on a bodyguard gig only to find Lisa being friendly with the man he is supposed to protect. However when he sees her he notices her arm is in a sling. Then as they try to catch up danger arises and Ice decides he needs Lisa to come back to Florida where he can keep her safe.

There is more to the story than meets the eye. Lisa got injured when she got mugged but it wasnt your typical mugging. This leads to more questions and secrets are revealed

Finally, questions answered and loose ends tied up.

After reading book 1 I had to get the 2nd in this series. I absolutely loved this book! Book one leaves you hanging with so many questions but this one wraps them all up.

Don't worry about having to purchase more than book 2 to feel like the story is complete. Book 3 is supposed to be the back story told from Brian's point of view of what happened to him (no more info from me on this so as to save the integrity of spoilers). If you by chance have the book set RED HOT BIKERS, ROCK STARS AND BAD BOYS you'll find book 3, COLD FUSION, included in it. The subsequent books in this series are about other side characters and not necessary to felling like #1&2 are complete.

Although I hate cliffhangers that leave you forced to buy more at a somewhat ridiculous fee for a little more than 120 pages I had to know what happened with this story. Just when you think you know who the bad guys are you can be assured you are wrong.

Cold Burn leaves me hot

The Iron Tornados saga continues with a mystery nearly solved. Lisa and Brian become one and she begins to learn Brian and his lifestyle. This story delivers and makes you beg for more. I highly recommend this series. You truly need to read it in order.

Good book and good price. I read the whole series. In order to appreciate this story you should read the whole series. Stand alone, it's a pretty good read. But together as a series it's a really good read. Hot bikers, strong women, family, funny, real, angst filled, sexy and dramatic. Seriously awaiting the next book Hot Mess.

Read all 4 Texas books. I liked them and liked the continuity of the family on through to the grandchildren. However, I had the feeling that they were rushed. I noticed typos and other little mistakes I had never seen in Fern Michaels books. One final proofreading woud have helped me to enjoy them more.

Way too much repetitiveness. The last part was better than the first part, I skipped the middle because it was dragging.

THEIR DYNAMICS ARE VOLATILE & SO IS THE CHEMISTRY

Phina's bitchy attitude, cold heart and standoffish ways towards the confused, frustrated, jealous and besotted DJ was a bit annoying at the start because it caused so much conflict, fierce sassy banter and angst between them. But, as soon as I got passed the first few Chapters, I realized that it was just her way of coping with the life altering heartbreak that DJ had unknowingly put her through 15 years earlier. And it also confirmed to her that all the verbal insults of being told she's not good enough, declared a whore at the tender age of 5, of being worthless etc., etc., that her Father had repeatedly taunted and brainwashed her with throughout her childhood, were all true. When the reason behind her animosity, aggravation and hatred towards DJ was revealed I too wanted to kick him in the nuts. But, in his shaky defence, booze had obliterated his memories and it ended what should have been the start of a beautiful love story.... and instead, years later, it left an intense frustrating chemistry that was both combustible and explosive.

So now, 15 years later, they verbally spar and wound each other but it hides their true feelings for one another of rejection, lust, desire, passion.... and love. Then hate-filled cryptic notes randomly appear talking of sexual acts they had performed in private, revenge and the promise of violence yet to be inflicted on Phina. They were quickly followed up with very dangerous and serious attempts and the shocking news of her Father's release from Prison has Phina seriously scared. It pushed DJ over the top and he became her protector, her saviour and her lover..... but too many tequilas were to blame when DJ finally overheard the toxic secret of his long ago hurtful actions which led to Phina's pain, anger and heartache towards him as she relived memories that still haunted her today..... memories that now instantly came flooding back to DJ. He should have also picked up on the clues that Phina was secretly carrying on the shameful legacy that her Father had so cruelly inflicted on her young and tender skin years before.

An intense roller-coaster ride for your emotions, they argued, hated and loved each other fiercely all at the same time. It was passionate and steamy with occasional humor. There was danger, suspense, mystery, twists and deaths. Apart from the intense, swoon-worthy, sexy, Alpha Hero who's a Fireman/Paramedic and the Heroine with a tortured soul and a broken heart, there were a few other likeable secondary characters.... including Finnely and Collin from book 1 and the next book better be about Dax the charismatic, loveable, sexy, womanizing Cop. Alternate and overlapping POV's and the narration was really good.
