Pure Perfection Couldn't Stop Listening

Would you consider the audio edition of The Girl I Was Before to be better than the print version?

I dont like to compare the reading and listening of a book because to me its two completely different things. I listen to books for a different experience. Usually I feel more emotions when I listen and its a wonderful journey. I think this book is perfect reading print or listening. I recommend both because you get two wonderful but different experiences.

This is a tough one because you cant really compare The Girl I was Before to other books. This book is so unique and wonderful on its own. The best I can do is compare The Girl I was Before to the following books. I dont want to give anything away, but theres a common element.

Have you listened to any of Claire White and James Fouhey s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I LOOOOVVVEEEEE the male narrator. I LOVVEEE Him. Did I say that already? I kind of stalked his other books, thats how much I love him. I usually dont google narrators because I have a picture of them in my head and I dont want to ruin the fun, but I am so tempted. He reads at the right pace, his voice is not too deep, but fits Houston. Its strong, masculine and PERFECT. I kind of imagine Houston as a nerdy guy with glasses.

The female narrator fits Paige perfectly. Paige is a tough character, so the voice is really strong, not too girly, but feminine.

As someone who works in a school system, I can't wait for Winter break when the first order of business is Hallmark movies and romance novels. This was a quick Christmas read.

Story is good, but the narrator isn't

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator needs work on his voices. Every male character in the book sound the same, and the women sound horrible.

Is it possible to get a woman narrator?

The voices are horrible, and really takes away from the book

Not at all, but I would rather read the book than listen to the voices.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He isn't good with women's voices, and all of the women sound horrible.

All of the men have the same sound and country twang. It's not a suave sounding person.

disappointment --- I was hoping it would get better. The stories are fine, but the narration is awful.

I am not sure who chooses the narrators, but all of the Brenda Jackson books needs another narrator that can do more voices.

Enjoyed Both Stories

I think Steven's story was a little short and kinda predictable. But it was still very enjoyable. Bachelor Untaimed was a better story and kept you listening. Liked the way the Steele family was mentioned as a sort of an introduction to that series.

All in all... enjoyable summer read.

I loved Stern it was my favorite of the Westmoreland series, because the character Jojo reminds me of myself. Bachelor Untamed was a nice story as well.

This was really good. I'm going to continue to read all her books in this series. Truly an eye opener when it comes to men. They truly love hard even when they fight their enter feelings, emotional hangups and pass history of heartaches.

Really Good Book

It is a really good book excellent narration but it was too short. I want more of Tomas (Thomas ) I needed more!!!!! I don't use my credits for books under 7 hours but I may have to let Delaney get away with it. I'm want the others but need to wait for them to go on a BOGO sale.

A Masterpiece! !

I couldn't stop listening! the story was amazing, the narrator helped to bring it to life and the characters made me fall in love. It was well written and took its time letting you know about the characters who learned about each other and took their time falling in love. I loved EVERY word. The narrator was a fantastic choice as well.

Sexy, sweet love story

Where does The Wrong Man rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

This my first audio book and I really enjoyed it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Talia was my favorite character because of her vulnerability and strength. She was insecure when it came to her grandmother but was strong enough to end her marriage and climb the corporate world. She ultimately found the strength to declare her love for Tomas.

Did Michael Pauley do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Michael overall did a good job with the male characters and the grandmother but I didn't get as good a sense of Talia's voice through him.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the scene of Talia having it out with the grandmother! It was great, well written and full of emotion, the reader could feel how hard it was at first for her to convey her feelings to her grandmother and then Talia's final admission of her pregnancy and love for Tomas.

Really love Delaney Diamond! Have all of her books and wait for her next release!

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish this book was a TV show. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I will have to listen to more of this collection of fury tales.

Beary Swan Princess Adventure Tail

Would you listen to Swan and the Bear again? Why?

I love the writer she never fail deliver lil drama dash of adventure lots of suspense with great sense humor about whole ordeal.

This 2nd book in series make more sense when listen and read in order.

I read this book first and loved it. I had to know how a black swan could handle a playboy bear. Recommend to all shifter lovers. The audio book was wonderful loved listening to all the different characters voices. Happy listening.

Ahhhhhhhhh we get the HEA we have been dying for! I loved this book heck this whole series.

Rim and Romeo are favorites of mine for when I am in a book slump.

Romeos mom is a hard nut to crack but once she does she is sweet and kind hearted and its not hard to see why she wants to protect her baby.

I did want to shake Rimmels father like very hard. I am all swoony over Romeo for being there for Rim when she needed him to be.

Ahhhh and Braeden and Rimmels friendship is utterly sweet I cant wait for more. I just love re reads!

Again narration was great, male is fantastic and the female is good just some of her words get to me but who cares it was great.

Third Time is a Charm

This third book in the hashtag series completes the HFN of the #Nerd and the #Player. By this point, you have to keep reading/ listening to know what happens.

If you like New Adult romance, definitely try this series. {Begin with book one.} The characters' lives are far from the normal college student which makes the entire series far from the normal new adult romance that sometimes is starting to feel a bit overdone. This series is a stand out so far.

Another great book in the series!

Again, the football parts of the story are a little unrealistic, but the story is romantic. I love that they get through everything together. Unlike a lot of stories they don't get mad at each other of stupid things.

A great ending to a sweet romance

This is such a sweet and sexy romance that has just the right amount of suspense. It is a must read!

Surprised that I enjoyed it

This series is pretty fluid. It is a bit of mind floss. I read it at 2x speed on audible. I enjoyed it at that speed but couldnt bear it much slower. The story line isnt terribly inventive nor that fresh but it was still inviting. Not sure if Ill go on to the later parts. I suppose it depends on if I see them on sell. All in all I dont regret it nor did I stop. Will I remember it in a few days? Probably not. But a bit of mind floss isnt a bad thing.

The book, absolutely. I love the way I can sink into an Ava Miles book.

The audiobook, No. The voice actress does the same voice for every female or male character, save one, which is done badly. Also, her enunciation is atrocious.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the book. Vivid detail that helps you feel like you are watching what is unfolding as if you were there, without making it excruciatingly detailed. Well rounded, amazing characters.

Would you be willing to try another one of Em Eldridges performances?

Never again.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Possibly. It would depend on casting, and direction. A miscast can ruin the whole thing, and a poor director can make a good actor fail abysmally. See: Quantum of Solace; Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights; Proof of Life; the Star Wars prequels; Etc.

Much Ado About Nothing

While I enjoyed some parts of The Park of Sunset Dreams (mostly the dogs), I thought the plot was stupid and overly melodramatic.

Lawyer Matt wanted to be the mayor, which was portrayed like a national campaign rather a small town election, in which most residents care more about property taxes, good education and crime prevention than the candidate's love life.

Jane, dog wrangler and former poker babe, was educated at Harvard but stupid enough to think that any man who wanted to be a politician would be as coldly ambitious as her asshole father. And who really cares if Jane used to dress provocatively at poker tournaments?

Since I couldn't connect with Jane and Matt, my mind often wondered while listening.

Love Bella Jewel .This storyline was not for me.

I found it hard to enjoy this story .... I admit it was my hang up because I could not get past the fact that the history between Spike and Ciara. Ciara was Spikes first love, ended up loving her sister and marrying her and when she died .... Ciara is back in the picture again. The author did a good job of depicting the angst the two felt at that fact, but I could not get past it. That is why I reluctantly gave it three stars. Maybe worth a sale in my opinion, but not a credit, which is what I used.

Drama and romance

This book is a erotic romance with drama and violence.

Ciara has had one man in her life that she has loved from day one, Danny aka Spike and he got his name from his spikes on his ummm. Loving a man from distance is hard especially when her sister begins her pursue of him and gets what she wants. Ciara leaves Spike with a broken heart and crushed. She was used by spike to get back at her sister. She feels used. When she returns to try to make amends and to heal what she broke in Spike she finds herself

Spike was married to Ciara sister but not the the reason everyone thinks. He has always loved Ciara and when he comes back into town to tie loose ends he find himself in a heap of mess with the one woman he has been avoiding. When word gets around who she is to him her life is in danger and he will do what he can to protect her even from himself but who ends up losing in the end and is it worth it? He has to juggle being a biker president and saving her while trying to save himself from her.

This was INTENSE

BROMANCE!!! Beautiful. The romance was great... And hot too. I already left a review about this book nearly giving me a heart attack, but the ending! The LOVE all around, the ROMANCE, the BROMANCE.... This can be a stand alone, but you'll appreciate it more if you start with book 1.
