Waste of time...

When I get a Blaze book I have minimal expectations: a short romance listen with a few hot scenes and a storyline that sounds plausible. No peeking did not even meet those minimal expectations. The storyline is ridiculously impossible to believe and the heroine is an uptight, insecure prudish with moments of dirty talking sex goddess that immediately go back to being uptight, insecure and prude. WHAT?REALLY? I only gave this book two stars because I was able to finish it.

too nice

The first part of the book was good and the plot seemed interesting. The second half of the book was too "nice" to the point of being predictable and boring. It can be refreshing to have good morals or nice characters in a book, but not at the expense of having a plot. I used enjoy her books, but this is the first one I have read in years, and I doubt I will spend any money on any more of her books.

Typical Danelle Steele but will hold your interest and is easily listening.

Repeating myself a bit with other Danielle Steel book reviews . but if youre a fan, youll understand from where I speak :-). Danielle Steel is one of the most prolific writers in America today. As a reader, you either love her or hate her, there really is no in-between, and she has legions of fans. If you are ever in the mood for sweet romance, meaning a teenaged girl can read the book, pick up a Danielle Steel novel. Its easy to become absorbed, the stories are not gray-matter growth material; they arent intended to be. Danielle Steel is a die-hard romantic, and directs her talents to that end, pretty much exclusively.

Most stories involve a strong female lead, as does Honor Thyself. The lead surrounds herself with unique, and sometimes quirky, characters and the trials and tribulations of each traverse the pages. A typical, Danielle Steelesque, satisfying conclusion. The books often speak to personal familial relationships and issues, as does Honor Thyself.

Im pretty simple when it comes to critique of a narrator. If I dont have to re-wind to determine who-is-talking-to-who, Im good.

This story was very predictable, the characters' inner struggles were weak. You wanted to continue listening only to see if your assumptions were correct...and they were. If you are a fan of predictable romance this one is for you.

Heartwarming! â¡â¡â¡

I loved reading this book! It started at a fun place and it ended so sweet! Both of the main characters were described well and you could feel like you knew them, except that I didn't really get a full sense of Jake's business sense; but it was obvious he and his father were very intelligent men and his father a particularly cunning alpha. I hope in the next book in the series, we'll see more of that side of Jake and hopefully the business--whatever that is--making money. The book could have been fleshed-out a bit more, but I'm still happy with it. Family was a big part of it and I hope that theme continues in the next installments without too much drama and threats of death and dying overwhelming it all. Can't wait for the next one!

Wow wonderfully written

This is truly a wonderful love story. A nice slightly hot love story with a HEA ending. I like Jake the omega cause of course he didn't know he was an omega and his father mike loved him as well. Who can fault a father who excepts his son for who he is and wants nothing more than for him to be happy. Great book even the alpha is great the way he excepts the fact that jake is not only his but also the only man he's ever been with or attracted too. If only the rest of the world could think that way.

I loved the twists and turns and the edge of the seat action too. I loved Kane and Jake's happy ending and their happy little family too. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.

The plot of this M/M shifter short story had potential and the author can write as some interesting pages clearly shows. Unfortunately it all ends too soon leaving too many interesting possibilities unexploited. A pity, in the end.

I absolutely love this series by Carly. I also love the way Sophie makes me question my sexuality by sounding like a big sexy Dare man... Love love love!!!!

Not enough detail to visualize the story.

This storyline didn't have much depth. The character development was weak. This was not the author's best work.

It was okay.

This book was "okay", simply put: a mindless way to pass my workday. Nothing exceptional about the story, the characters and their development is very one dimensional. It wasn't bad or good, just okay.

Gotta love those Creeds

Always good to catch a Linda Lael Miller story. The Creed family stories leave you looking forward to another. I think that she's run out of Creed men to write about and that's sort of sad.

Yes, I would recommend both the Creed's and the Mckettricks series. Especially if you like the idea of family, horses and love.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Montana Creeds: Tyler?

When Tyler finally comes to terms with his abusive father legacy and forgive his brother Logan who protected him.

What does Jack Garrett bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

The sound of the west and horses. His voice reminds me of the movie with John Wayne and the ruggedness of riding the range.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I liked it when Lily stood up to her mother-in-law Eloise, who threaten to take Lily's daughter Tess away from her, but instead back down. There are a lot of exciting moments in this story, but nothing scary.

Linda Lael Miller's McKettrick and Creed series are wonderful to listen to.

Might be better on paper.

The Montana Creed series seemed better on paper, but still entertaining in audio format. The voice for Tyler Creed did not fit the character.

A riveting story.

A placating and soothing account of the life of a younger brother Dhruv.

He is young and abash and head-over-heels with his cheating girlfriend. He is taken care by his much sensible and responsible elder brother Aamir, who happens to be the only one he can write under the column "family".

The story moves back and forth in flashbacks of how the siblings were wiped off of their parents by a tragic accident in the woods. There respective love lives are well represented and the contrast in them is of stark vibrance. Dhruv is cheated time and again and Amir loves someone who is equally self-righteous towards him.

Only that sometimes people have conflict. Not an argument but difference in the sense of passion. She is a thriving crime journalist and Amir is afraid to the bone of her safety. Well, he is right and she right.

A terror oriented bomb blasts takes Amir away from the scenario attributed to an aftermath of a practical joke. Dhruv is subdued, grieved and crestfallen - all at the same time. Losing his brother was aggrieving and loosing him like this was shattering.

Only that this did not make noise.

He hops on a train to Brahmi, to an ancestral property surrounded my scenic beauty of nature. You never know where or when or how true love knows on your door, do you?

The character portrayal of Sacchi is very well chiseled out. You fall in love in the persona instantly. Something Arpit is quite good at. Forming characters that you love and others you love to hate. He is a treat to the reader.

Hold on. The title is misleading to the unobservant eye. It is not just a love story. Or an account of how panoramic scenes of a hill station make two people fall in hopeless charm.

Far from it.

Dhruv comes back. Donates a kidney to save a stranger and another stranger puts his hat in to complete the circle of good-will. How? Well I crossed my heart to not give out spoilers :)

Incidents

I still wonder out aloud how did so many incidents fit into these 180 odd pages. Incidents are what avoid any story from becoming a drag. And the author manages to circumvent that very well.

Plot

The strength of the house in the plot size.

The plot is very well woven and has an ending that is bound to make you smile a joyful smile. I did that.
