Worst narrators ever!

What did you like best about Tangled Beauty? What did you like least?

The story line was okay

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

It's a classic tale of rich guy and hard working woman. Fun yet predictable.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Very much so. I'm completely shocked this was sold on Audible. Wrong words, made up words, repeating of lines when they miss read them the first time. No editing and not professional at all. The female editor was slightly better than the male. I kept expecting them to improve but it just seemed to get worse as the book progressed. If there's a worst narration award this book would win hands down.

Could you see Tangled Beauty being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Easy story impossible to listen to

What would have made Tangled Beauty better?

Elizabeth meadows read this book like she is bored. The male voice mumbles and he is just monotone. It was quit painful. I read this book first and it was a quick and easy read and I rather enjoyed it. It seems like they didn't even edited the audiobook for errors.

Would you be willing to try another one of Elizabeth Meadowss performances?

I like her series it was just the audiobook that was the let down.

The story itself is a good story. It's just the audiobook that was awful. If someone else read it, it would have been better.

Terrible, do not waste your money

What disappointed you about Tangled Beauty?

Terrible book. Unorganized and the end was a huge letdown at the end. The plot made no sense and her getting kidnapped was a part of the book that was supposed to be suspenseful and wasn't in way at all. I was not a fan and will not read or purchase any other books from KL Middleton in the future.

Would you ever listen to anything by K.L. Middleton again?

No.

Absolutely terrible! Too much stuttering, too many pauses in the incorrect areas and there was so many times she was reading way too fast and then would slow way down.

complete disappointment. I wish I wouldnt have spent the money on it.

Ok I enjoyed book 1, but I LOVED book 2. I dont know if I was just in a different head space or what. But it left me emotional; I had tears throughout this book.

Kim Bubbs did a good job narrating book 1 but I think she did an even better job with book 2. I felt the emotions; I loved all of the different voices.

This book is the story of Nicole Corisi & Stephan Andrade.

In book 1 we meet Dominic Corisi, Nicoles brother and Stephan Dominics long-time rival. We also know that after the death of Dom and Nicoles father who wasnt a nice man. That he made stipulations on Nicoles inheritance.

So to get what Nicole wants and deserves, she goes to Stephan with a plan only things do not go as planned.

I lovvvved the character growth of Nicole, I think she was too afraid to be who she really is. And it took a little pushing for her to see she is her own person and she can do what she wants.

She did have some help from Stephans family. I think I loved that best. For someone like Nicole who felt alone or abandoned most of the time. Having this big family want her, and need her. It was so foreign to her but I love how she jumped head first with them.

I was not a big fan of Stephan for a lot of this story, but he does redeem himself at the hotel. And I can then see why Nicole was so in love with him. He became human.

Great book

Nicole and Stephan had a brief encounter years before and after the death of her father she seeks him out and asks for his help which he refuses.

Well, they do eventually get together and the sparks continue to fly. They always do in Ms Cardello's stories and I find this entertaining and amusing, time and again.

There was an unusual birth which added spice to the tale.

If you've read the first book in this series you will remember the two main characters in that book and they make an interesting re-appearance in this book.

Ruth Cardello has once again written a lovely story which flows and keeps the reader engrossed and Kim Bubbs does a great job of telling it with her narration skills. These two have a good partnership going.

a steamy and heart melting romance

Another wonderful addition to the Sea Breeze series. I loved Cage York in "While It Lasts" and this is a great follow up to his & Eva's love story. This book is sweet, sensual, emotional and heart breaking. Cage is given a baseball scholarship that will take him from Sea Breeze to Tennessee. The plan for both of them to make the move is shattered when Eva learns some devastating news about her father. Faced with a once in a lifetime opportunity, Cage unwillingly goes to Tennessee to begin building their future. Within a few short weeks, their relationship is flipped upside down and they are pulled apart. Insecurities cause them to struggle and they admit defeat and try to live without each other. Unfortunately, they are only existing and not truly living. Nobody else compares to the love they shared with each other. Yes, there is drama but the HEA ending made everything well worth it.

sometimes there's no need for a 2nd book

This book was just okay. If she wanted to continue this series, I think it would of been better if she wrote Jeremy`s story instead of a second book about cage. Read more like an erotica then a romance. More sex then story so it was just a waste and pointless. Shauna did great as always male reader had a great voice but just didn't do it for this book. Too bad I paid full price.

Excellent plot

A creative twist on the classic "misinterpretation of what you see and drawing all the wrong conclusions" scenario. In the real world, though this sort of thing happens often, it's always amazing that normally intelligent people never think to write up the truth and publish it when someone refuses to listen. So authors don't do it in books either, there wouldn't be a story without misunderstandings and misinterpretations. This one features an EXTREMELY hard to refute scenario. Well written.

This was a very good story. I liked Ridley and Jackson and their story was an enjoyable romance with a bit of action. This is the first book I've read by this author and based on this I'm likely to try more of her work in the future.

Ridley is in to plants and landscaping and has dreams of starting her own landscaping company. Ridley and her twin, Raine, grew up with a single mother that wasn't around a lot so they mothered each other and have always been there for each other. Ridley hired a man named David to find her father but then David died and weird things started happening. When someone broke in to her apartment she left town to stay with her sister for a while.

Jackson is a widower with 2 young sons that he loves dearly. He's also a music producer and tried dating after his wife died 3 years ago but had very bad luck. Jackson has decided he'll never look for permanent again and just dates with no strings attached.

Ridley gets to her sister's home in Virginia. She hadn't been there before but Raine sent her the alarm code info and where the spare key is. Unfortunately for Ridley, Raine's head of security had convinced her to change the code since then so when Ridley arrived she can't get in. She was very tired and hadn't eaten decent since she left for her sister's place a couple of days before and ends up passing out just as Jackson's 2 sons show up in her yard. Jackson's sons get him and Jackson, his brothers and some friends that were over visiting come to help as well. Ridley wakes up to a bunch of strangers but Jackson seems nice and thinks she's Raine, asking her why she's back early from her 2 week trip. Ridley wants to hide and Raine had changed her last name when she started modeling so there wasn't a lot to connect them so she lets Jackson and his friends think she's Raine. She accepts the offer of a place to stay the night since she's locked out. They try calling a locksmith but it's a holiday weekend and so they get no help there. Ridley tried calling Raine but can't get a hold of her so she decides to stay the night and then go to Raine's house as soon as she can.

Jackson has always appreciated Raine's looks but had never been attracted to her as a woman but suddenly he finds himself very interested. Unfortunately for him and Ridley, he makes a couple of jerky comments that put them at odds at first.

Entertaining..

I liked this story which is a testament to "don't judge a book by it's cover". In other words, a woman shouldn't let a man's blue-collar job determine whether or not he is worthy of a date.

A romance of two people from two different worlds, but they both compliment each other while bettering themselves. This was a good story.

An interesting twist

Up to Mehas an equal blend of hot sex, witty banter, drama, shocking twists, sexy new characters, lots of action, and very bad guys. There were parts that could have been better. For some reason, I felt some parts were rushed. Regardless, I enjoyed it for most part. I will continue with the third book because Im interested to see what M. Leighton comes up with next for these characters.

Wow! It knocked my socks off

This 2nd installment of the Bad Boys series was amazing! I loved this book! For such a short listen it was packed with so much action, emotion, twists & turns, love, sex and so much more. Its hard to write a review of this book without giving away any spoilers, so I will just say it was AMAZING! If you liked the first book, then you have to get this follow-up. It will not disappoint.

This is a awesome series. Lighthearted and fun to listen to. It had an element of surprise that I did not expected. Cash and Olivia's relationship continued to growth. I love that Olivia is strong and independent. She did not let anyone pushed her around. I can't wait for the 3rd book.

These Bad Boys are really something...

Oh yes... there is a twist in here... I forgot I was at work when the secret was reveled and had people looking at me crazy. Cash was so sweet and protecting to Olivia. I love all the side characters Ginger is my girl. She had me LOLing. No need for a credit its less than $8. Happy Listening!

I thought I had book 2 all figured out after listening to book 1 but...

apparently I was wrong!

I had so many WTF??? I didn't see that coming moments with this book my head was spinning.

This book is one big web of lies and surprise's hopefully it will all weave together by book 3.

As with the last book the narrator's did an excellent job!

This is definitely a credit worthy listen.

Thank goodness I got all 3 books together and don't have to wait to see what happens next.

Fun!

Fun story for any Austen obsessed individual.

Highly recommend for anyone in the mood for a light and funny story.

Is this a Joke? Narrator was an insult to my ears.

I've listened to hundreds of audio books and this, by far, is the worst narrated book I have ever experienced. Some phrases sounded like a a robot, and some I'm just perplexed at the syntax. Either way this audio version is an absolute insult to my ears and makes me very irritated that it was even produced and put out there to be downloaded. I'm sorry that the time limit for returning this has passed. If there is anyway I can help others avoid this travesty of an audio book then it is worth the time it's taking me to write this.

This may be a decent book. The story seems cute and I usually love all types of Austen inspired modern retelling but I'll have to read the print version to know that.

Unfinished story. Weak relationship development.

But the narrator Kate Russell was excellent. She is the only reason I bought this. I plan to listen to most books she narrates.

Harlequin has page limits, and I believe the author just stopped writing when she reached the limit. We dont know who the main bad guy was. He/she was not discovered or caught at the end. It would have been better to see some of the bad guys motivations and actions. This is the first book in the Coltons of Wyoming series. I expect we will find out who the bad guy is in book 2 or book 3 or other. There are other unanswered questions which are set-ups for future books. Readers need patience for this series.

Book 2 in the Coltons of Wyoming series is titled Colton by Blood. Its written by a different author (Melissa Cutler) and has a different narrator.

In book 1, I did not see good relationship development. Gabby and Trevor interact for the first time as they investigate the missing baby. All of a sudden they have sex. I didnt see desire leading up to it. There was no passion. Then the guy immediately proposes? It felt like the author was thinking quick throw this in before I run out of pages.

Error: Once during the text it says the ranch is located in Montana. But Wyoming is on the cover of the book.

Totally Disappointing

If you can't come up with a good plot, a believable storyline, or even an interesting story; write a lot of sex scenes. I really liked the first book in this series, and the Second, "Marking Time" was quite good also; so I had high hopes when I began listening to this selection. Well it didn't take me long to lose those and lament this purchase. The initial 70 to 80 percent of the audio consisted of bland, mediocre very vanilla hetero erotica, the lead up to said erotica or afterplay dialogue that didn't work. If I want erotica they're many better options available on Audible; it's not why I purchase Marie Force; at least this oh so weak sequel led to the author to begin her excellent Green Mountain series. The highlight of this book was the inclusion of Jill and Kate's younger sister Maggie; I'd love to "read" a work featuring her. Well that is if the author uses the creativity that has made her such an excellent romance author; if she's just gonna phone it in the way she did with this one; don't bother.

Bad narrator

Starting on chapter 15 I think the narrator changed or the current narrator changed voices fie the characters. They were so bad I couldn't finish.

Usually I enjoy this narrator, however this is book is not her best piece of work. The story was good but it would have been more enjoyable with better narration.

In chapter 16, the reader changed. The second reader was terrible! The book was great, but that sucked.

I thought she was too soft at the beginning of the series but came to really appreciate the way she brought the individual characters to life. Why did they put another reader in at the end. NOT a good direction. Ruined the end for me. :-(

No I enjoyed the pace and it filled great time on my drive to and from work.
