What have you learned in that relationship that serves other relationships?

It's not always about learning what to do, it's equally important to learn what not to do.

My longest running relationship is with my best friend Rana. She and I have been friends for almost 14 years. I've learned the importance of friendship because of her. Eternally grateful to share life with this beautiful human. My human <3

3 things we practice that keep our relationship bond stronger than ever. Year by year. ONLY GETTING BETTER WITH TIME.

*Allowance to be ourselves ( no expectations, no negative words, no tearing each other down ) only love, tolerance, grace, & ACCEPTANCE to be who we are independently outside of our friendship & as a whole.

*Direct communication ( Speak the truth, it sets you free ) we have always been honest with our deepest and upmost vulnerable versions of ourself. Honest with each other to the point that we have learned nonverbal ways of knowing each other. We just know, ya know?

*Forgiveness. ( Forgive for you, not for them ) When you have someone you love and cherish, just know that it is perfectly human for you to experience hurt from time to time. This hurt should never be a malicious hurt, but just the occasional upset feelings that may arise over the course of time built up. It's vital to find the one's worth being hurt over. Don't let it harden you. On the other side of Acceptance, Communication, & then FORGIVENESS.. it builds depth into the relationship & only makes you stronger.

It's been a slow learn for me. :)

I am no expert on relationships.. however after many hard lessons learned and doing it wrong.. I've finally found the relationships that matter the most to me in my life.

Home is an extension of them.

Each bring sunshine to any cloudy day.

I am a better human because of these connections.

Unapologetically secure in the people in corner. Chapter 31 feels genuinely the best year of my life. So much new & exciting things to come. I'm going to be Uncle Alex to a precious new baby girl...

So it's time for me to practice what I preach, & go spend time with the one's I love the most. I encourage you to do the same.

Season 4 has been straight from my heart and life experiences. I'm confident in what I put out this season. I hope it found you when you needed it. I'm grateful to have shared this season with you. You matter. You belong.. You are enough. Just by being you.

Season 5.. on the way. Stay tuned, there's always Moore to come.

Ever feel like everything is going wrong?

However, I don't allow myself to grow by staying comfortable.

Things will never be 100% my way,

I have little to no control in this life,

The only thing I have control over is how I respond/react to new seasons in my life. If life is going to keep life ing, I needed to learn to be the calm in any storm I face.

3 things that help me.

1. Focusing on what is controllable.

2. Knowing that this too shall pass.

3. Gratitude is the attitude that will keep me safe.

Pain is the touchstone to all spiritual growth my friends..

Just stay the course and know you are entering a breakthrough season.

Ever experienced bullying?

I'm sorry you went through that. I know that its difficult to deal with! I too had my share of those trying to tare me down along my journey in life. Sadly, it didn't stop in school. I experienced it as I found myself in different seasons throughout life.

Although, it was difficult at the time. I learned a few things along the way that I thought I could share with you today!

Take your power back by trying these steps, the next time you deal with a difficult "sick" person..

GOOD NEWS**

You got something they want or else you wouldn't be the target. That's the flex.

Healthy & Happy people don't "bully"

Today I know exactly who I am & who I am not. For along time, I needed people to tell me. I always fell victim to comparison & inferiority. You know the drill...

What if they think this? What if they say that.. What if they ask me this.. What if they know how insecure I really am... yada yada ya..

When I stopped giving them that much power, is when I was able to start focusing on:

" what do I think about me? "

" Do I like the way I treat others? "

" Am I living the way I find to be healthy? "

Etc.

Question your thoughts. Analyze the truth. Pivot. Focus on what you can control. && GIVE THESE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO THINK WHATEVER THEY NEED TO.

9/10 they only speak to others the way they speak to themselves. So that's probably your case too.

Good news,

The MOORE you work on you and get better.. People get better as well. We are all mirrors of what we wish to see in the world.

To whomever it may concern,

If you're looking to hire a new "inner voice", it should be a Positive candidate for the thinking department. If you have a negative inner voice, it's time to fire them. Out with the old, in with the new, healthy, & fresh ways of thinking.

Try to fill your day with these affirmations to rewire and shake things up a little bit this week. I know, Positive thinking produces positive actions.

Stay a while. Use as much as you'd like.

I've been on a lifetime mission of finding the balance of being true to myself & being supportive to those I love.

I have failed MOORE times than succeeded.

However, I am learning that it is okay to be direct with others and to have boundaries at the same time.. that protect yourself and those you think highly of.

For the longest, I thought if I say the right thing, give the compliment, overachieve, etc.. That I would be doing the "right" thing. AKA ( A YES MAN)

As of late, I am learning that doing the right thing by me sometimes, seems to others like I'm doing the wrong thing.

That's their opinion. They are entitled to it.

Who want's to be told NO?

Who want's their biggest enabler to stop providing?

Who want's their biggest cheerleader to stop cheerleading?

Who want's their best player on the bench?

NOONE.

Saying NO to others has allowed space for me to start saying YES to myself. I've turned around and poured into the cup that pours into many.

When I can remember that through love, compassion, empathy, & sincerity.. Being direct is the greatest tool to combatting that people pleaser DNA.

I've made progress, but I still have a long way to go.

Today,

I am okay with that. I don't have to be anywhere I'm not. I don't have to always say YES. I don't have to be #1. I'm not here to save anyone. I don't have to perform for love.

I honestly, can simply just be me. That is enough.

Me being me, allows others to have their own experience in life. No force, no manipulating, no performance. Just my truth. Their right to do with it whatever they may please.

Look, I'm no different than you. I'm just a human being with choices.

What I have found with my experience, is that when I get specific on where I want to be.. I can then begin to start showing up as a person who will be able to say, " I did that "

If having 10k saved up this year is the goal, I should start now with actions that will get me to that goal. It's not just looking a head once, dreaming, & then continuing to live like I'm 10k in debt.

I break that 10k down into months, into weeks, into daily if needed.

It then becomes a daily direction that I am heading towards.

My actions lead, my thinking catches up.

Before I know it, I'm on the way.

No breaks.

Clear intentions. Specific goals. Reward at the end.

I want you to know that, if I can go from being a 7 day a week black out drinker.. to someone who now is sober, owns a business, runs a podcast, coaches clients, sponsors others, manages a restaurant, & continues to work on self development while maintaining self care...

You can do anything that you "want to do"

Whew, what a ride. Since starting my business 4 years ago, I've set out to pour into others to bring light/awareness to experiences we face on a day to day basis. I believe, I can say job well done. (although it will never be truly "done", this is my life's work)

It's been 8 months since I've sat down to record for Get Moore.

I took a much needed break from production. I wrapped up clients I was working with, I wrapped up Season 3 of Get Moore, I started therapy & dove deeper into learning to LET GO.

I've been on a solo journey this past year of getting to know the new normals in my life. Change isn't a bad thing, it just gets a little scary at times. I encourage you to lean in :)
