Kentucky Time Travel Romance

This time-travel romance is full of Kentucky history especially horse breeding and racing in that area. The main character, Libby, has to make difficult decisions in just about every area of her life. You get to feel her struggles to adapt to her job, love life, friendships in present day and the past. It's a lovely story that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a sweet love story with interesting history.

This one caught me by surprise because I wasn't expecting to like it so much. I'm very glad I give this book a try ;-)

I have already started listening to it in in my car a second time. It is a great story.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the fact that Libby can travel back and forth in time. Most time travel stories are a round trip visit at most. The way she traveled back in time was a nice twist. I enjoy the knowledge of horses that Sandy has incorporated into the story line.

What about Carol Diness performance did you like?

I love the French accent, the little boys and Libby's best friend tones of voice....very pleasant voice.

The ending made me cry in a good way.

I highly recommend this book to any historical romance lover. Of course, the time travel aspect is great too.

I liked the method of time travel used in this novel. It felt very real to me that, through the generations, this family would have passed on the dictate of leaving the two trees alone.

A great afternoon read!!!

This is the first book from Melissa Limoges and in my opinion it's a great start to her career!!! Not forgetting that I adore shifter stories, so this novella was right up my street.....

Claiming His Mate was a fun, sexy and interesting short read (my only gripe - if I could even call it that - would be that I'd have loved the story to be a little longer so that we could have found out more about Jace & Michelle, but that's just me).

Jace is an alpha shifter who has discovered that Michelle, who has recently moved to the town, is his mate. For reasons later explained, she thinks the hot bloke who has been hanging round her book store is gay.... yeah, so wrong there!!! ;)

With wit & humour that made me laugh out loud at points, some danger, a touch of sweetness and a lot of attraction & heat this was a great afternoon read.

I didn't realise that the Black Hills Wolves series was written by several authors and it's something that I'll be exploring further.

Melissa has a 2nd BHW books coming out "Taming His Mate" (which will be book 8 in the series) and I can't wait to read Stephens' tale!

This year, I've signed up to "New To You Author" challenge being held by Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup and this was a great start to my new author list!

A Sexy Paranormal Romance Debut!

For a debut, I thought M. Limoges did a fine job with Claiming His Mate.

Although short, this tale was sweet and sexy with good bits of humor thrown in. My usual problem with novellas is that the story would seem to feel rushed, but fortunately I didn't get that from this story. It flowed smoothly throughout and plus the character's chemistry felt realistic. Jace and Melissa were a good pair and I enjoyed their playfulness and interactions with one another. It didn't feel forced which I always appreciate. Overall, this was an enjoyable paranormal romance I quickly devoured in one sitting.

Kate (Jace's sister) and Stephen (Jace's best friend) were also an interesting pair who made appearances in this story. From the glimpses that I got, I can say that I am definitely looking forward to reading their story in Taming His Mate! I've already pre-ordered it :)

This is unique. Very few books out there about a paranormal writing finding out shifters are real.

Which character as performed by Audrey Lusk was your favorite?

All are good. I love Ben's attentiveness and understanding. Cass is a feisty lady who doesn't stand for garbage, even though sometimes it gets her in trouble.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Loved the scene in the boat.

Cass and Abe go to his home to meet the clan. Abe has more in mind _but even more than he understood was about happen. Cass loves his father immediately and they hit it off. She is nervous to meet the clan but seems to be accepted and likes those she meets.

She loves the country, even if she is distracted by some bad news from home. However, she turns it over to the professionals to handle and does her best to enjoy their time. Ben has a big surprise that shows his feelings and Cass is delighted. So much is happening. But she's not done yet. While Ben is with friends, his father takes her home to wait for him and his surprise may just be too much.

Can they handle it all so soon or will it end them? We'll have to wait for part five. I will have to work on my patience.

I loved listened to the book on audio and really like my "bedtime story." Newly heard or listening after reading, I have become such a fan and this book comes to life while I lay back and listen. Enjoy both, you can read and listen or either one with the audible version. Enjoy--I have.

A Greater Plan at Work...

I'm still a science fiction newbie (book wise, at least), but I enjoyed this novella. Given Phoebe's predicament and all she doesn't know, I wondered for a while if she'd only be a "damsel in distress" type of character: confused, scared, and depending on superhuman Crowne for everything. So I was pleased to find that even with her pain, Phoebe is smart and curious with wit and fire to her.

Some awkward wording and commas in odd places put a little hitch in my reading a few times. I was kind-of expecting more of a central "mission" to be accomplished in the story, but there may be more of that later in the series. Besides, finding out exactly who you are and how you fit into someone else's life can be quite a mission on its own.

Though I know that sci-fi often requires readers to accept things that may seem off or bizarre, my quasi-conservative self wasn't sure about some stuff in this book. But a compelling thread in the story kept me reading: the thought that your destiny is greater than other people's questionable or faulty plans or actions toward you.

It could be interesting to see what happens next in the series...

Pretty good

I was not expecting it to be like it was. It was clean and fun and obviously had a sort of mystery to solve. It was worth the ti,e and effort. I will be getting book 2.

Refreshingly good

I love this genre. This story was a quick read. Suzanne packed a whole lot of wow into this Super Human story. I look forward to the next one with Anchor...aptly named.

Great story, So so production

It doesn't rank very high simply because the production of this audiobook needs work.

The story here is the real winner. Ms. Wardell wrote a funny and engaging story. The production, however, is lacking. There are misspoken words that should have been edited out. The actual editing that's been done is very rough. The performance abruptly changes in the middle of a scene. While most of the time Ms. Ganahl's performance is right on there are times when she is just flat.

Despite this I would read more of Ms. Wardell's work.

Another Good One

This book was given for an unbiased review by the author. This is another shifter quick listen. The story is well written. The narrator irritated me several times. Nicole and Micheal's HEA is the end result. Nicole is assigned to write a story about an up and coming country western band and during her week with them, she discovers they are shifters. There are several plot twist and the sex is almost at the end. Thanks again. I like my story to be complete before the sex gets mixed in. This one is like that. Although short the whole story is there. Love this series.

Loved this Narrator

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I am so happy there is a Becca Fanning book that is not narrated by Audrey Lusk. This narrator did a great job and was a refreshing change. I will read all of Becca Fanning books that are narrated by someone other than Audrey Lusk. The story was a great short story and I enjoyed listening to it. The title of this book is appropriate for this narrator. The title to this story is appropriate to the narration.

One Story Three Books

This was one story spread out over three books. The narrator was good and made the story. The breaks between chapters were so long that several times i thought the book had shut down. This was not the narrators fault though. The h comes in a catches her husband in bed with her best friend. she drives away and the story twists on from there. She is a witch married to a warlock and vows to never love another warlock. She picks up a hitchhiker and sleeps with him. Then she discovers that he is a warlock also after her husband traces them down in a diner and reveals they were best friends. Well the story gets stranger from there. It is only about four hours so if you have the time to waste it on this book it is a good distraction. As I said the narrator makes the book.

Magic, Witches, and Warlocks.. Oh My!

Catherine, the female lead, is in for the shock of her life when she witnesses her husband cheating with her best friend.

To clear her head, Catherine decides to go on a long drive..

She picks up a hitchhiker, Jeff.

Catherine likes Jeff but when she finds out he isn't a regular "human" she ditches him and goes to Las Vegas where her adventures are only just beginning.

I liked Catherine, she is a funny and strong character.

Overall, this was an entertaining read but it felt as though something was missing.

Nastasia Lacayo did really well with the narration.

The Playwolf Billionaire

The book started out slow to me. By a quarter of the way in the story picked up and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Plenty of to ance , sex and suspense.

Ultimation

Loved the storyline and the way it progressed to the end. I only wish that the story told more about the characters and what might happen to them in the future. This book is for adults due to sexual content.
