Love me a bear... or two

I read the first two instalments of Cass and Abe's story and listening to part 3 in audio was a nice change. The story is picking up speed and the chemistry between them is even more hotter. With the addition of Jason or at least the idea of him joining them in the future it will be scorching.

Audrey Lusk voice is quite pleasant and love hearing the emotions in her voice, especially when Cass is thinking or speaking. The male voices were ok, but not quite.

more dang it! lol. like all good series there is a book that is what I like to call a filler. it fills in the important moments that progress the story. this is a filler, not that makes it bad. there are some major moments in this book and I can't wait to see what happens next!

New beginnings, and new life for this series' longtime fans

The Six Saviors series continues with the addition of new SR44ians forming up a team called Rescue One. Tasked with bringing the saviors back to a planet they don't realize has been destroyed, the rescue one crew is in for a huge life change. I felt sympathetic toward Justice, their leader, who carries the burden of helping his crew assimilate to their new life while trying to find a place for himself among the saviors. Add to that his feelings for Holly, a human woman, and things get complicated. These two had a really sweet connection ... One unfortunately based in lies. As he tries to help her clear her name for a crime she didn't commit, Justice finds himself entangled in his own lies, and unable to decide how to reveal his truth as well as his feelings. The pacing and plot really amp up in the second half, and the conclusion is satisfying, while leaving room for many more stories about the Saviors. A job well done in bringing this series back to life and continuing a familiar story with new life for fans of this series.

Another hit!

The long anticipated next installment in the Six Saviors series was well worth the wait! Ms. Fall introduces us to Justice and the crew of Rescue One who were sent to Earth to retrieve the Saviors in response to a message SR44 military received saying they were ready to come home.

Problem 1: Noah didn't send the message.

Problem 2: Rescue One didn't have specific details on where the Saviors were so they've been waiting and hiding for 2 years.

The two teams meet up during an altercation in Phoenix with a little help from an old adversary. Learning to work together, to trust and to accept the changes is the driving force of this novel.

Ms. Fall's strong characters, attention to detail and descriptive words pull you into the story making you feel as though you were a part of it, seeing the 'nightly light show'; cooking with Hudson in the kitchen or sitting with the ladies drinking wine and chatting.

With the introduction of the crew from Rescue One there are definitely more Saviors stories to be told and I can't wait for the next one!

If you could sum up Determined to Be Mated in three words, what would they be?

What was one of the most memorable moments of Determined to Be Mated?

I like the scene where Ethan found out from his pack that he should have asked Jessica to marry him, not just mate him. Then the following scenes where the pack came together to help him put it all together to surprise Jessica.

What about Aaron Shedlocks performance did you like?

I loved his voice, it was deep, just what I expect of an alpha wolf.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did. It was only a little over two hours long.

Quick little RomCom with some werewolf references

Determined to be Mated is the first book marketed as paranormal romance (with a self proclaimed werewolf + his whole pack) that I've come across in which they don't delve into werewolfy things. Beyond tossing around words like wolf/alpha/mates - no one "changes", the story doesn't worldbuild, the author doesn't try to weave her version of werecritters into the story - it just assumes that the listener has gobbled enough paranormal by this point that it isn't necessary. ....Annnnd Huh. I guess it wasn't. Although I was pretty surprised, I guess it was kind of nice not to have to keep a new version straight.

The story revolves around Ethan, who doesn't realize he's missing something until his pack forces him to try to find a mate.

You know how Molly Harper books have cutesy banter and are sort of silly in their dialogue? This story reminded me of the couple of hers that I've grabbed. At one point, the characters even apply the word silly to describe themselves.

You won't find a gritty, dirty, rough alpha in this story. Instead, you will be privy to Ethan's inner worries about choosing the right outfit for the date and if the strawberry scented shampoo his guy friend&fellow packmate suggested was the right choice.

Rocking

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review. This was a quick short story. It was a shift in the shifter stories. the man only changes into a bear once a month. He has learned to live alone after a tradegy that results in losing his first wife. He encounters another woman after three years.What happens after that is good. A great short story.

Nice easy read

Because I love listening to Cynthia's stories, this one was a really good one too. It just goes to show you that not all relationships are the same. Alan had a previous relationship that turned him off to any more. Anna was in the same boat except for different reasons. The two were thrown together and love ensued. The narrator did a great job and the story was complete. The description of people, places and things was thorough enough to get the mind picture very clear. Looking forward to the next listen.

Addison spear rocks the narration in this book!

I have read quite a few audible books now by this author and others, and I have to say this narration was first class 100%! Addison Spear mastered both main characters voices, and I eagerly got in the car just to hear this story.

The story itself was also excellent, an original story line, but I don't think our lead Allan is much of a bad boy. He made a mistake years ago and it still haunts him today. He is afraid to find the right woman for fear of this mistake repeating itself.

Anna has her own boatload of present problems and she meets Allan in a bar when he stands up for her.

This was a sweet and sexy story of finding your mate; just enough paranormal to keep those readers happy and enough erotica to keep readers like myself captivated to the last page.

Oh but this book had some hotness.

I was given this book in return for my honest unbiased opinion. I found this book to be so very entertaining. I love the Bear Shifter books but this isn't a book about finding a mate so the story is different. This isn't your typical shifter book which is refreshing and leaves so much more for the imagination when it's not so cookie cutter. I give this short story 5 stars.

A Werewolf and a Meduim

A Wolf Awakens has a medium and MC shifter actions. Angeni "Ange" Sweet is a medium who can channel spirits. Ange has noticed that her gift has been taking a toll of her and that something has returned within her from the spirit world.

Jaxon "Jax" Boone is taking a much needed break from Los Lobos. His pack is healing from the last cruel alpha leader under his best friend's leadership. Ange and Jax both hit it off when they met. Jax realized that Ange was his mate but when Jax discovered that Ange is psychic/medium, he was angry and abandoned her in town.

As Ange is dealing with the stress of her father's demand and Jax's disdain and disbelief of her gift, the angry spirit took control of her and lead her to take revenge on Jax's pack. Now Jax has to acknowledged Ange's ability in order to save her and his pack from the vengeful spirit of Magnum.

It is ironic that Jax doesn't believe in the supernatural when it concerned Ange and yet he is a supernatural creature. The readers/listeners will notice this about Jax. Jax is a werewolf and if his pack exists, there are other supernatural things that are in this world.

The narrator S.W. Salzman does a good job of narrating the story. As for the voices of the characters, it wasn't the great performance but it was OK. The narrator does used other sound equipment for the ghost's voice.

This book is about a woman that is being trapped in her own body by an evil spirit and her mate's fight to save her. Psychic gifts can be curse more than blessing, or at least that's what the main character seems to believe to some extent. She is admittedly used by her parents to make money, with little regard of what she wants out of life. That is until she meets the wolf shifter that believes her to be his mate. I thought this book was well written and was an actual novel, as compared to some shorter stories that wind up to be somehow lacking by the end. I got this book in exchange for a review

Wowed!

Found this book intriguing, which made me buy the box set! Not to many bear book impress me but the writing, was superb and the characters development, well that is just a bonus! Definitely worth the time!

O.M.Garrett!!!!

This might have been my favorite of the series so far. Though, because I fell in love with Zach's character, I'm reserving judgement until Second Sight is released. But enough about him. Let's talk about Garrett.

Garrett, oh how I love thee. Let me count the ways ... you're a cocky SOB but you've got a right to be. This book just oozed sex anytime he was on the scene because ... dark skin, muscles, attitude, ex-marine ... I mean. I'll just leave it at that.

Seriously, though, aside from being sexy, Garrett was kind, protective, and the kind of hero you want to root for. As the Sergeant of the unit of guys who gained their paranormal abilities in the Guatemala incident (explosion), he feels responsible. I can admire his dedication to making things right by fighting to give the other marines their lives back. However, when he gets the job of protecting Ruby McDermott from kidnappers out for a ransom, he may find himself having to choose between his mission and having a life, complete with love, family, etc.

Ruby doesn't make things easy on him, when sexual attraction becomes something more. She makes Garrett question whether he can have both, and because of how well developed they are as characters, you can't help but want to see that happen.

Ruby was an easy character to like, because she embodies that insecurity so many of us carry around. For her, it was the issue of her weight and lack of grace (which I can totally identify with). Garrett does an amazing job of bringing her out of her shell and making her feel beautiful and loved ... which made me love him even more!

The ending left me hungry for me, especially when I read what book 4 will be about. Now that we've gotten a little more insight into the elusive Joe Smith, I have a feeling book 4 will be an explosive one ... and, I'm hoping (maybe?) bring all the renegades together for a little reunion.

How to tame a bear? Throw a curvy red-haired librarian in his path needing protection, who cooks well.

As usual Carly Fall manages to make being between a rock and a hard place into a way to find love in the most unexpected ways.

Again for the third time...

Again this is wicked short. I personally would never buy a book 30-40 pages long. With that being said, the story is decent but didn't contain a lot of context. I would have loved it if you went a little deeper.

Megan and Connor have a new person coming to them for help. Will they get past it? The twist in this book was something I did not expect. The explanation of the mating was more intense. I just wonder is there more to this story?
