Friendly to Beginners, Detailed Enough for Pros

As an experienced Forex trader, I purchased this book looking to expand my knowledge of the markets and perhaps learn some new techniques which I could apply to my trading style.

I was not disappointed.

This book does a great job of explaining the very basics of what the forex market is and how it works in a simple way, which is of course an excellent starting point for beginners.

For me, being an advanced trader with considerable experience, I was looking for more detailed concepts to be covered and in this book and they were. It does a fantastic job of keeping these concepts easy to understand despite their often complex nature - even newbies to forex and trading in general will be able to get a grasp of these topics without becoming confused.

Also worth mentioning is the very important parts of this book which warn against some of the common pitfalls of forex trading which so many people fall into, and crucially what to do to avoid them.

5 Stars for a book which is friendly to beginners, but detailed enough for pros!

An excellent intro and definition of the whole forex trading system.

I value the details given in the getting started part and also the strategies. Other than that there are details on: doâs and donâtâs, benefits of forex, holding period, FAQs. I only intended to get familiarity on forex. That part is short and brief, but this whole set I got at 2.99 contains so many other short books.

If I am honest, I didnât get what I intended to get 100% and for that I take away a mark. I expected this to be a more in depth reference on the WHOLE forex trading system. YET, what âwasâ included in brief was also very essential and significant information. So I give my thanks to the author for that.

PS: there was a book on âhow to get rich slowlyâ. And Iâve seen that in other books as well. Personally I think that title for ANY book is absurd. Because unless we have tons of luck on our side, getting rich requires a lot of hard work, sacrifices and time.

Excellent primer on Ethereum

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

For the IT professionals, or the technology enthusiasts, this is a great primer on the crypto-currency called Ethereum. It does have a lot of buzz words and technical jargon, but I thought it was still relatively concise, and informative. If you aren't interested in something as esoteric as crypto-currency, this is probably not the book for you.

NOT for beginners

NOT for beginners. Most of it totally flew by me. It was really dull as well so that didnt help. Its hard to listen to and wade through. The narration was decent enough.

Im not sure if it was just me but most of the book went over my head after the first section. It was pretty dry and seemed more like a sales pitch than any real informational book. If you already know a touch about it this book might fill you in on more of what its planned to grow into and how its going to go about that. If you however are like me and were just mildly curious about why everyone was so hyped for crypto currency.......you may be disappointed.

For those with existing bitcoin knowledge

Depending on how you define a beginner this book may or may not suit. It's not really for anyone who has heard of Ethereum or it's digital current ETH and is just wanting to know more, but is instead for someone who already has a strong understanding of digital currencies and distributed computing and is a beginner for Ethereum only.

The book opens with buzz-word and technical jargon and doesn't let up. It explains some things, but presumes you have a solid understanding on the topic to begin with and is just filling in specifics for this particular brand.

It goes through the history of ETH's creation, followed by some of the advantages of it over other similar systems.

So if you have dealt with Bitcoin, but are interested in Ethereum, then this book is aimed at you. If you are wondering what digital currencies are and how to get into them then go for something else.

Narration by Stephen Paul Aulridge Jr. is good. Well paced and easy to follow.
