Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 32 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks!
It's finally Jim Wynorski time, as we check out his 1993 debut erotic thriller Sins of Desire! It's got what you'd call an all-star erotic thriller cast, with Jay Richardson, Tanya Roberts, Delia Sheppard, Becky LeBeau, Monique Parent, Jan-Michael Vincent, Nick Cassavetes, Carrie Stevens and Gail Thackray all showing up! That is one crazy cast. There are maybe less thrills than one might expect from the erotic thriller genre, but there are explosions and shootouts and plasma balls and awesome Becky LeBeau songs and also a genuinely beautifully shot finale in a spooky abandoned film studio.
Plus, we chat about the life and times of the one and only Tanya Roberts. She's done it all, from Charlie's Angels to James Bond, with some truly unexpected detours in between, including a rock 'n' roll wrestling movie with Roddy Piper, and The Pandora Directive, the fourth game in the Tex Murphy point and click adventure game series.
Special guest Jim Ether says that's a good game, by the way. Also, please help our buddy Jimmy out by contributing to his Patreon so he can make more delightful arts!

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 30 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks!
This time around, we're joined by Jaymz from the NBA-Straya podcast, and Josh from the terrifically popular rock and roll band Househats! And we all check out David DeCoteau's 1996 film Bikini Goddesses, in which a hapless American teenager is sent to work at his father's hotel on the Greek seaside, and manages to free three Greek demi-Goddesses from millenia of imprisonment. Except, being a DeCoteau film from the mid-'90s, Greece is actually Romania, and the teen in question is in his late 20s. Also there is literally only one other actor credited in the film and everyone else is a local whose name DeCoteau quickly forgot. At least some of the dialogue is completely unintelligible. Most of the plot happens in the first 15 minutes, and then the last 15 minutes, and the rest is interminably lengthy sex scenes.
Of course, considering there were few other people of note involved, how could we do our first DeCoteau film without talking about the great man himself? In around 35 years, he's done almost 150 films - everything from hardcore movies to kids fare!

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 27 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks!
This time around, we check out the 1973 super weird softcore drama And When She Was Bad (aka There Was a Little Girl), which was written by, directed by, photographed by, edited by, and produced by Gary Graver. Oh, and he also appears in two completely separate non-speaking roles in the same scene. This movie is really bananas, on practically every level. It is SO WEIRD. Especially the music. The music is amongst the weirdest you will ever hear in a movie.
And, of course, we talk about the life and times of Gary Graver. How could we talk about anyone else this episode? Graver directed everything from horror to erotic thrillers to exploitation to sex comedies, and also did about 150 porn films under the name Robert McCallum. He was also cinematographer on over 200 films. Some of those were for his good friend Orson Welles!
Coincidentally, between the time we recorded this episode and the time it's going up, it was announced that they finally wrapped post-production on Welles' The Other Side of the Wind (which Graver shot), some 48 years after they started filming it. Now that's bananas!

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 25of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks!
We're back to the beautiful world of Andy Sidaris, as we continue our look at the final 7 Sidaris family films, with 1993's Hard Hunted! It's the middle part of a (sort of) trilogy, you know, so it's the darkest one. Kane's back, and he's got his hands on a nuclear trigger! An agent dies! Donna gets amnesia and also gets kidnapped! Nicole gets ruthless and will not let anyone stand in her way to get Donna back.
Also for some reason Kane is no longer Pat Morita - he's RJ Moore, son of Sir Roger. That's more odd than dark though.
Plus, we talk about the life and times of one of the one and only Dona Speir, star of 7 Andy Sidaris films (but not the Andy Sidaris film Seven, or the David Fincher film either).
