Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Mark 6:31 which says "Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”

"As we prepare for the weekend ahead of us, it is vital that we carve time out to unplug and find rest in Him. Find a quiet place and play some soft music. Instrumental music if you can, and talk to him. Paint, or mold clay, read a book do something that will take minimal effort but it will allow you to remove yourself from the noise of this world.

 

I love that Jesus instructed those who did not have a chance to eat to go with him by themselves to a quiet place to get rest. It’s no coincidence that they couldn’t eat. I said this the other day, in our physical world we need food to survive. But in the spirit, we need to find quiet alone time with Jesus to thrive.

 

I hope we all get some much needed rest this weekend."
