Excellent Guide to Get You Started!
Meditation 101: How Anyone Can Easily Learn to Meditate Even if You Can't Sit Still by Max Fischwell is an excellent guide to get you started meditating. Fischwell starts with the definition and thoroughly explains the health benefits both mentally and physically. Explaining that even just a few minutes a day is all good.
What's really great about this book are the different types of beginner yogas introduced. If one doesn't work for you just try another. If you aren't very flexible that doesn't matter. Anyone and everyone can meditate and the author shows and explains how. Did you know you can even meditate walking around? That's weird to me but obviously it works.
I recommend you give this book a read and let Fischwell know what you gained. Nice job!
This is Exactly What I Needed
Like everyone, I'd like to have less stress in my life. I'd thought about meditation before, but I didn't want to have to take a class or do something all that complicated. So, I'm glad I found this book!
It outlines several different types of meditation (I didn't know there were so many). The author stresses quality over quantity, which is a good idea - I know that if something takes too long I'm likely to get out of the routine.
The information he provides was all I needed to get started. Highly recommended!
