Where would you go if you could experience history and not just learn it?
Have you ever wanted to cross the Delaware with George Washington? One little girl from Trenton gets to do just that.
In the first installment of The Time Chair Diaries a scientist invents a time machine that allows its users to go back in time. To any time they want. To live through history and experience things that up until now have only been read about in school.

A Fun Way to Learn About History
I think this is a great way to get kids to read about history without it being boring! I know if I were a kid I would be reading this series (or reading each book after my child reads it). What a great concept to get kids to learn about history by using time travel in a "time chair" and putting you right in the middle of what was happening in a certain time period. Plus, the main character, Laura, gets to dress the part and participate, what a fantastic idea for the storyline. The story is well thought out and written with historical accuracy, it's not written for just little children it's relatable to even older children and adults. I think this is going to be an interesting historical series for kids of all ages and a fun way to learn about history.

Fun trip through history from an entertaining character
Big Battles in Trenton: The Time Chair Diary (Book One) by Laura Crockett is a fantastic book that incorporates the time travel machine storyline, but also gives a nod to The Time Machine (H.G. Wells), which made me smile. To me, if you're inspired by a classic plot and pay respect to it, it makes reading it from a different angle enjoyable instead of cringe-worthy.
