Episode 100! Daniel never thought the podcast would get that far. The main reason it fits his personality. And, only one subject this week... the oldest known ghost of the Haunted City of Hamilton, The Dark Lady. Inside the original Custom House near the Harbour.

How the history makes this one of the most unique haunted locations around. Where the darker energy comes from. Then, it's all about the Dark Lady. From her energy, to the infamous Poem and Legend. Then, 3 different ghost stories from the building, blamed on the 'matriarch' of the Custom House.

How facing pain is the best way to live. We tend to avoid pain. Creating fear and tension around it, only making it more powerful. But pain isn’t to be avoided! There are lessons for life hidden inside of it. Daniel goes down the road of pain acceptance.  Using his own battles with obesity as an example.

Then, just after Halloween, Daniel went to Hamilton’s McMaster University for a paranormal investigation. Along with his friend, and Ghost Walks Hamilton Manager, Lauren Holder. They, with a team from the McMaster Silouette newspaper, went into the more haunted areas of the campus.

The experiences in University Hall were great.  But nothing compared to what happened in the forested areas behind the buildings. Communication from some darker history, and a medium known as… The Ouija Board! The story behind the dark energy, and a creepy connection with a random student.

Off the Pages on CFMU (Andrew's show)

If anyone tells you, “Curses aren’t real!” Give them the first segment of this show. What happened to the Lemp Family in the early-1900’s is insane. Death abounds, from sickness and suicide (warning!). Generation after generation. Was it genes, karma, the house itself. Nobody knows. But Daniel has some thoughts on the matter. This family’s story, and the house’s ghosts.

Then, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the woman spirit of the old Victorian House reaches out in an electric way. How it communicates with night-time visitors through electronics. How this isn’t unheard of in paranormal investigation. And the one experience Daniel will never forget.

Join GGDaniel in Downtown Hamilton this December

Gossip-Sesh!  Daniel breaks down the difference between a ‘haunted house’ and ‘ghost tour’. The frustrating confusion of the two at Halloween-time. Featuring the cheap technique known as a Jump-Scare. And his too close experience at this year’s Canada’s Wonderland Halloween Haunt. He wasn’t scare of the jump, just the germs!

Then, a gotcha moment? The second time something in a Hamilton Spectator article rubbed Daniel the wrong way. The explanation why, alongside of one of the most haunted places around. One line, “Hmmm”, filled with so much meaning and, dare he say, spite! The article and thoughts on the matter, and why he may not do more Spec articles in the future.

Join a tour at the Ghost Walks

Return to the haunted Merritt House in St. Catharines.  With Psychic's Kate and Michele, and myself.  Most of the original HH team, back together for a walk-through the old house.  Barred from it for over two decades.  We were featured on the Soper & Brown Morning Show, before given free time, and recorded time to wander around the house.  Daniel shares the highlights.

Then, how a ghost experience inside Hamilton's Tivoli Theatre is related to general movie history.  Bringing to light a significant event which may have started inside the Tivoli, first in all of Canada.  Connected to the spirit of a woman desperately trying to talk with a former theatre manager.

Not a popular How-to, but useful! For job interviews. How this related to being interviewed on Podcasts and Radio Shows. And the experience with a former Hamilton Shock-Jock (now politician) that affected Daniel’s interview style for years.

Then, is the title clickbait… nope. The ghost of a little Grey Lady is said to have eaten her parents. While trapped in a plague-ridden house, back in the 16th century. Oh England! This story, and experiences with the little lady from the latest Strange News article.

Strange New Article

Global News/AM900 Article/Interview

Fake or real? A woman in Britain says she’s marrying a ghost named Edwardo. A Victorian soldier from the 1800’s… yes… named Edwardo. Daniel has a lot of fun with this one.

Then, promised and fulfilled. The other time a Psychic from Toronto named Jim Hunt shocked Daniel. Proving, like only few can, having these abilities is possible. The time just the two of them walked through Hamilton’s Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. And one comment, “Just Breath”, which is not possible through a skeptical mindset.

Strange News Article

Remember when Daniel took a week off recently? He was in Vegas. Talking about the aggressive photo-ops and being harassed by a sexy Police Officer. Leads up to realizing the dream of seeing Penn & Teller’s show at the Rio. The phenomenon of doing something great for too long.

Then, years ago Daniel received an email. A group of teens visited the grounds around the old Century Manor Asylum. Recording themselves, unaware of the ghostly answer to a standard investigator’s questions… “Are you there?” The terrifying recording, and what the history tells us about the ghost.

Along with another rant. Why is security so darn aggressive?

Updates on the issues in Downtown Hamilton. Daniel put in the middle of insanity with two incidents. The experiences are discussed, and how the second one makes him consider putting the Downtown tour into hiatus for next season.

In Canada, it’s rare for haunted accommodations to use ghosts as an advertising method. More common in the United States. But not here. So, Daniel was excited to see an article about a place in Penetanguishene, Ontario.

Then came the disappointed. Find out why he doesn’t believe the stories about the ghostly AirBnB, called “The Haunted House”.

And, another shadow person tries to be seen on Daniel’s tour. Happened at the Hermitage Ruins in Ancaster. Small private group at the beginning of 2022. While telling the legend of Denholm, Maine… another haunted forest with a couple of terrifying ghosts. He must have stirred something up.

The experience, and the pain he stills feels. Longing for a lost experience.
