It's time... Halloween-time! Kicking off the Halloween season with a special segment. Not about sexy costumes, or drinking and partying. But the roots of Halloween, in ghosts and superstition. From its Celtic beginnings in Ireland. Being manipulated by religion, and ending up with popular and fun beliefs in the United States of America.
Then, Daniel relives the horror of having his cape tugged during a Custom House Ghost Walk. In the infancy of his Ghost Guide career. Freaking out in-front of a group, and blaming a guest for doing it. But it all makes sense... once you look at the active ghost of that hallway (see cover image).

Daniel’s origin story. With a rant about pushing natural talent. Failure of the schools? Connecting it with his own experience growing up with a love for writing and storytelling. How this led to an obsession for adult horror books, and Stephen King.
Perfectly leads into a review of the 2-part movie, Stephen King’s IT. Read at a young age, this story is close to Daniel’s heart. Why he watched the movie closely. From perfection to not-so-much. What happened?
NOTE, No show next week (Wed Sep 7th). Returns on Wednesday September 14th!

Viral ghost photo from Mississauga. A city beside Toronto, not known for its ghosts. Then, one afternoon, a Kayaker takes a photo along the shoreline of the Credit River. Now Daniel has to reexamine his beliefs on the modern city. Featuring a Streetsville ghost story.
Then, Daniel goes deep again. How everyone’s fear of death creates a line of argument for non-believers. How fearing death connects to cemeteries and ghosts. And, it’s possible to not fear death and still believe in ghosts!

Toronto centric episode! Starting with the city’s most popular mayor, and one of Canada’s biggest villains, William Lyon Mackenzie. Leader of the 1837 failed Rebellion. Toronto’s first mayor. But before all that, he lived in Dundas… a rebel’s town. Rumoured to have hidden in a cave on Sydenham Hill.
Then, Daniel jumps over to his former house in Toronto. Now considered one of the most haunted places in Canada. One of many stories, from the time of a caretaker named Mr. Charles Edmunds. That time when they heard the piano playing… from the palour, in the middle of the night.

A sensitive sent in a detailed email of impressions from Ancaster's Hermitage Ruins. Daniel goes over each one, attempting to connect it to history and ghost stories. Finally, a description of the infamous William Black. Also, knowing the tour groups aren’t hated.
Then, Daniel opens up about a personal experience with a psychic from Toronto, named Jim Hunt. The time this man blew his belief right open with a simple question, “Do you know Lily?”
Her connection to his past. And the possible spirit of the twin he always wanted.

Another spiritual segment! This time Daniel shares one of the most powerful techniques a person can have. Useful in ghost investigation to tune your ability to read the space. Feeling deeply if ghostly energy enters a room. Maybe even reading the ghost’s emotion.
Then he returns to the subject of Canada’s most famous disappearance, Ambrose Small. Was his skeleton found in Hamilton? Yes… if you believe the story from the old Tivoli Theatre in the 90’s.

And how the worlds of energy abilities can merge with Atheist beliefs.

Daniel is shocked to have his own experience added upon. New facts which round off a ghost he never really knew, who was haunting the house he used to live in. The random female voice has a name… Mary. Along with her jealous husband!
Then, let’s talk Canadian government. The one in Toronto, representing the Province of Ontario. Queen’s Park. With a story experienced during a secret Halloween Ghost Walk in the building. A fact which almost started a political rant (but Daniel’s a beacon of restraint!) All around a great man in our country’s history, a former Sergeant-at-Arms, and hero in WW1.
