Kelly and David discuss the importance of deep friendships.  Kelly explains what it's like to meet David's best friends and how it made her feel.  They each discuss how this friendship is unlike any other and how blessed they feel to have them in their lives.  David makes it a point to let Kelly know that not just anyone is allowed to meet Thomas and Donna, that you have to be worthy, but once you do meet them, it's a sign that you are truly "in".  

Kelly and David remind everyone that community is important and connections are golden.  They recount an event where they were both surprised at the outcome of broadcasting live on facebook.  They also share a sub-story that occurred just before going live that bonded them deeper with one of David's more complex patients.  Somehow Charley Sheen is invoked and his infamous catchphrase is resurrected. 

Kelly and David openly discuss how fatigue catches up to us in the most unusual ways.  David shares a recent incident where he fell asleep and was typing in his sleep.  Kelly shares a story about her uncanny ability to pray in her sleep after screaming herself awake.  The over-arching messages in today's episode are knowing what your limits are and not allowing others to influence you to over-work yourself.  Be impeccable with your words and stay true to your messages.   And, oh, yeah, if you accidentally fall asleep during sex, do yourself and your partner a favor and don't sleeptalk.  

David and Kelly discuss the fact that after assisting over 1,000 patients in passing into the next realm, it never got easier.  The duo recount David's last hospice patient as a practicing Gerontologist in the long term care field and marvel at not only the relationship that this couple had together, but the upside of dementia when it comes to grief.  David's homework is pretty harsh but Kelly softens it with her addendum, putting into practice the beauty of complimentary personalities in a relationship. 

"Work" is such an ugly word.  Strike that, the feeling around the word "work" is often negative.  So, as a veteran kite-flyer, David took the opportunity to flip the script and took Kelly on a lovely journey to the wine country... and, completed a task in the process.  Not making the task the focus is how we upgrade a situation and apply our signature method of being self-ish. Not surprisingly, the twosome made great friends along the way and of course, did what everyone should do while in the wine country.

David and Kelly get interesting news today and it doesn't make any logical sense.  Being so far removed from something does not allow you the ability to see ground zero clearly.  After the news sunk in and was digested, a chance interaction with a friendly cow punctuated the day with a very valuable leadership lesson. 

When was the last time you were hugged?  We bet it wasn't by horses.  David and the cat lady (Kelly) explore the world of bonding with nature at the next level.  The duo scale a locked gate of the location of their next big project and while David makes unlikely promises, prior to entering, they all magically come to fruition.... and then some, leaving Kelly in awe and a believer.

How many remarkable memories did you create this weekend?  Were they solid or were they transient?  Did you meet a wolf?  Did you perform music impromptu and broadcast it live in the moment?  Were you the catalyst for dozens of patrons unexpectedly dancing in an upscale restaurant?  No?  Well, that's weird.  No, no, it's not weird; sadly, it's likely.  Push those earbuds in as far as they will go and listen hard to David and Kelly's "wild" adventures.  

Kelly and David dive into the depths around what it takes to be a true healer of those with mental health issues.  Many believe in talk therapy.  Many believe in pharm therapy.  Many believe in letting it run its course.  All of that has proven to be a bullshit copout.  It takes truly listening to the afflicted and then getting off your ass and taking action.  Perk your ears up and hear how pretzels, Pepsi and some high-octane outside of the box thinking helped move the needle forward on a measurable level to heal a special person.   

Uh oh, they are back to being serious for a minute.  On this day dedicated to humility, Kelly recounts a sobering conversation with a new friend who is dealing with a husband with dementia yet still drives.  This is not an isolated case nor is it being handled properly worldwide.  David, having been almost killed by a driver with dementia has a very staunch and unrelenting viewpoint on the matter and gives the audience a call to action with a personal touch in the homework.  Be sure to listen and start saving lives.
