अमेरिका के एक वैज्ञानिक ने एक सनसनीखेज खुलासा किया है. जिसमें कहा गया है कि COVID-19 एक ‘मानव निर्मित वायरस था’ जो लैब से लीक हुआ था. अमेरिका के शोधकर्ता एंड्रयू हफ की नई किताब में खुलासा किया गया कि दो साल पहले वुहान इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ वायरोलॉजी (Wuhan Institute of Virology-WIV) से ही कोविड-19 का वायरस लीक हुआ था. जो चीन की सरकार द्वारा संचालित और वित्त पोषित रिसर्च लैब है.

न्यूयॉर्क पोस्ट की एक खबर के मुताबिक महामारी विज्ञानी (epidemiologist) हफ ने अपनी नई किताब ‘द ट्रुथ अबाउट वुहान’ (The Truth About Wuhan) में दावा किया है कि ये महामारी अमेरिकी सरकार के चीन में कोरोना वायरस रिसर्च की फंडिंग के कारण हुई थी. हफ की किताब के कुछ अंश ब्रिटेन के टैबलॉयड द सन में छपे हैं. हफ न्यूयॉर्क में स्थित एक गैर-लाभकारी संगठन इकोहेल्थ एलायंस के पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष हैं, जो संक्रामक रोगों का अध्ययन करता है. हफ ने अपनी किताब में दावा किया है कि चीन के गेन-ऑफ-फंक्शन प्रयोग पूरी सुरक्षा के साथ नहीं किए गए, जिसके कारण वुहान लैब में रिसाव हुआ.

एंड्रयू हफ ने अपनी किताब में कहा वुहान इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ वायरोलॉजी की प्रयोगशाला को चमगादड़ों में कई कोरोना वायरस का अध्ययन करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य संस्थान (NIH) से फंडिंग मिल रही थी. एनआईएच और वुहान लैब के बीच घनिष्ठ संबंध बन चुके थे. NIH बायोमेडिकल और सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य अनुसंधान के लिए अमेरिकी सरकार की प्राथमिक एजेंसी है. हफ ने लिखा है कि चीन पहले दिन से जानता था कि कोविड-19 का वायरस लैब में बनाया वायरस था. उन्होंने चीन को खतरनाक जैव प्रौद्योगिकी के हस्तांतरण के लिए अमेरिकी सरकार को दोषी ठहराया. उन्होंने कहा कि ‘मैंने जो देखा उससे मैं डर गया. हम केवल उनको जैविक हथियार बनाने की तकनीक सौंप रहे थे.’

अमेरिका और वेनेजुएला की सरकारों के बीच हाल में एक मोटी सहमति बन गई है। 

अमेरिका ने यूक्रेन युद्ध शुरू होने के बाद ही वेनेजुएला से संपर्क साधा था। वॉल स्ट्रीट जर्नल के मुताबिक अमेरिकी प्रतिबंधों में ढील के बदले वेनेजुएला के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मादुरो की सरकार अमेरिकी कंपनी शेवरॉन को देश में तेल निकालने की इजाजत देगी।

 Among private banks, ICICI Bank’s reduction in NPAs due to write-offs was Rs 50,514 crore.
