"You are a valuable, precious presence when you're crying, sad..confused, wondering. You are still deeply valuable." - Tricia
Christmas and all of the festivities surround it can be so hard.
Instead of holding yourself or others to unrealistic expectations, allow time for you or others to grieve.
Instead of packing your schedule and trying to please everyone, make space for healing.
Instead of filing your mind with distractions, dig deeper into God's Word.
Instead of pushing others away, lean into healthy community.
Merry (almost) Christmas from The Light FM's Girl Talk Team, made possible by Momentum Tire and Car Care!
Get holly jolly with Kelly from Girl Talk Podcast and find out how she celebrates the season with the ones she loves (and let us tell ya: the girl LOVES her people)!
Favorite Christmas Verse: The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" - John 1:29
"God is sovereign and can bring good, even out of our wrong decisions." -Carol Davis
This episode of Girl Talk Podcast is all about making the hard decisions - and all of the little decisions that lead up to the big decisions! Find out how including God in the "small" decisions will help prepare you to make the correct "big" decisions.
What is the determining factor for most of your decisions? Time? Fear of missing out?
"Regret is a greater price to pay than indecision." - Carol Davis
Before it's time to decide:
Pray
Seek Godly counsel
Seek the answer to your decisions from God's Word
Think about it:
1. HOW DO YOU MAKE IMPORTANT DECISIONS?
2. WHAT VERSES GIVE YOU ENCOURAGEMENT DURING TOUGH DECISIONS?
3. HOW HAVE YOU SEEN GOD WORK THROUGH A WRONG DECISION??

On this episode of Girl Talk Podcast, we're learning how to parent biblically in a confused culture. While it's difficult to bring up uncomfortable subjects, it's absolutely necessary to talk to your children about the tough stuff before the wrong voices influence them.
Whether you're a parent, guardian, educator, or mentor, this episode provides valuable insights and practical advice on how to navigate one of the most important conversations you'll have with the younger generation.
Together, we will learn how to parent in a way that brings God glory, creates a safe space for all of our children's questions and extends the grace we all need!
On this episode of Girl Talk Podcast, Tricia recounts a pivotal day in her life that began a painful journey of dealing with anxiety and PTSD.
You may have traumatic experiences that lead to PTSD or panic attacks and you don't need to feel shame for those experiences or feelings.
Reach out for help, whether it's professional counseling or simply a walk with a friend.
You are not defined by your traumatic past experiences, you are a child of God! You are safe with Him and it is okay to ask for help!
We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
You are loved far more than you could ever imagine by the very God who created you and knows every single thing you have ever said and done. What would happen if you actually believed that and lived out that love each and every day? God is not going to love you any more or any less for the things you do or don't do. You can truly rest in the love you have already received, because Jesus made that possible!
Questions to think about:
What is your favorite Bible verse about God's love for you?
Is there a gap between what you say you believe and what you actually live out?
What would change in your life if you lived FROM love instead of FOR love?
On this episode of Girl Talk Podcast, we're learning how to process all that is going on as conflict arises in the Middle East, and how we can pray for everyone on that side of the world.
We'll learn that while the Middle East desperately needs peace, that peace can only come from turning to Jesus.
