Girls Gone Hallmark | Hallmark Movie Reviews

We're slicing into Pie to Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, the latest serving from Hallmark's long-running whodunit franchise. In this cozy caper, a local murder threatens more than just dessert - Hannah's mother Delores is suddenly in the hot seat when her theater rival turns up dead. Now it's up to Hannah to clear her mother’s name and, in true small-town fashion, solve the case between baking pies and falling for Chad. But let’s be honest - the real mystery here is why this murder-filled movie is airing on Hallmark Channel and not Hallmark Mystery? Tune in with us as we break down the clues, the romance, and all the sugary drama.

Class is in session at Girls Gone Hallmark, and this week we’re cracking open Mystery 101: Dead Talk, starring Kristoffer Polaha and Jill Wagner. Amy heads to Seattle to deliver a TEDTalk-style lecture, but when a tech genius drops dead, she quickly shifts from professor to detective. With the local cops keeping her at arm’s length, Detective Travis Burke jumps in to help connect the clues - and the sparks between them are getting harder to ignore.

As part of our Summer School series, we’re giving this Hallmark mystery a full pop quiz - grading everything from plot twists to romantic tension. There’s chemistry in the lab and between Amy and Travis, and let’s just say… this case isn’t the only thing heating up. Join us as we break down all the clues, question the suspects, and give extra credit to those “did you see that?” moments that had us raising our magnifying glasses.

We're back with another Listener Mailbag, and June did not disappoint! You came in hot with all the topics: the (nonexistent?) Pride Month programming on Hallmark, the actual origin story behind those Barcelona movies (yes, there’s a story), and a full-on rant about how to say paczki - because apparently, Kristoffer Polaha was doing it wrong. Plus, spicy feedback on our Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye review and a deep dive into Park Predators that left us both intrigued and slightly terrified. Let’s get into it!
