Emma has bought a horse, and Alba needs to get a life. We talk about how we attach too much of our identities to dogs, and dog sports, and how that makes it harder to make good choices - for yourself, and for your dogs.

Did that affect us when all three of us choose to retire our main sport dog? How did people around us take it? And can dogs be a hobby, family and work without having you go ✨mad & sad✨?

In this episode we have Helena as a guest, who got her first sport dog 2021, and went from a newbie to making a reserve spot as US-6 for the world championship for German Shepherds in IGP 2024. But what happened with Helenas spot in the team? Why do we need to talk about the hair of the German shepherd for 10 min? Where does her bravery to speak out against the very well establish top of the sport come from? And how does she manage the backlash of doing so? Have dog sport welcomed her, as a new and young female talent?

Fill up on bravery and learn why you shouldn’t meet your heroes during this very open and vulnerable episode.

Helena wants to send a big thank you to Joeri Veth for getting her to her goals and believing in her.

Hosts:

Let’s take off the rose colored glasses and take a look at what we hate with our dogs. In a social media world where it sometimes feel like a race between lifting your own dogs up and searching for faults in others; to end up with the most perfect dog - we admit that all of our dogs have faults. They do things we hate and we tell you all about it, dog by dog.

We bring a bunch of the listeners pet peeves with their own dogs, most of them very relatable - and some of them hilariously specific.

Hosts:

As our first guest, we have Shay from Tactical Paws Ltd to talk about her work with canine touch and dogs with touch aversion. Emma did her workshop the weekend before our recording and they lost count of how many times Ruse muzzle punched Shay before they came out on the other side.

We talk about the dogs we’ve had with social flaws and handling issues - and how the industry needs another view on working these dogs. Shay shares her insight coming from the veterinary industry opting for dog training to help these dogs.

Hosts: Emma @ravenk9dogtraining, Tanya @belgianfurmissile and Alba @saneisboring

Tanya is scared, and we introduce ourselves. Is there a huge difference between training killer whales and dogs, or has Emma just chosen her childhood dream career in an easier form? Is Swedish and Norwegian the same language, can Tanya and Alba talk without Emma understanding? Do we always agree and how did we end up with dogs?
