Today portfolio manager Ayesha Akbar joins us on the program to share her insights on how to navigate the global markets in 2023. For Canadian investors, Ayesha manages Fidelity Global Asset Allocation Fund. Ayesha says inflation will still be top of mind for many investors this year with energy and food prices the main drivers behind the ongoing inflation story. In terms of asset classes, Ayesha is leaning more toward bonds as she is not ready to put her focus on equities just yet. For her, 2023 is a mixed picture so far and her focus will continue to be on the U.S. Fed’s moves, the labour market in the U.S. and upcoming jobs and employment data.
