This week Soap From The Box welcomes an icon who happens to be one of Lee’s closest friends, Glynis Barber.

Glynis played Glenda Mitchell in Eastenders (hear about her last minute casting) and DCI Grace Barraclough in Emmerdale (lovingly known as “the world’s worst police officer.”)

This extensive chin wag also covers Glynis’ iconic role of Sgt. Harriet Makepeace in Dempsey and Makepeace as well as her soap hat-trick playing Fiona Brake in Night & Day, the show that was going to “change soap forever.”

There’s also the tricks of TV kissing, off screen romance, paparazzi, performing on stage in The Graduate and “being one of the naughty kids” on Blake’s 7.
