Have you ever wondered how to better hear Him in your daily life? Or maybe you’ve wondered how to hear Him at all? Michelle and Christie are here today to discuss the multiple ways you can hear God speak to your heart and mind.
Sometimes it can be difficult to believe that He is speaking to us when it feels like there is silence. But part of the process of hearing Him is trusting Him and learning to start expecting to hear Him in unexpected ways. Maybe hearing Him is in the lyric of a song or in the beauty of nature or in a text from a friend—there are countless ways you may have been hearing Him all along that you hadn’t realized.
Join us today to if you’re hoping to open your spiritual eyes so you can see the many ways God is speaking to you right now.
Have you ever felt your worth was only skin deep? Even if you know it’s not, have you ever wanted to have greater self-worth?
Today, hosts Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCullough talk with our friend Tara starling, a professional makeup artist and co-founder of Soul Food USA, about how to not only see our own inner beauty but to see it in others. Believe it or not, Tara struggled with her appearance growing up, and it was only through the help of the Savior’s Atonement that she was able to overcome and realize her true worth.
Join us to hear about Tara’s personal journey, as well as about how she and her sister started their non-profit organization to help the homeless with just sixty-three sandwiches. We hope something she shares inspires you to “do what you can where you are with what you have” and just go and be.
Have you ever experienced a faith crisis? Are you going through one now? Today you can find hope through Michael McLean’s story—a nine-year faith crisis that led him on an unforgettable and heart-wrenching journey.
Our hosts Michelle McCullough and Christie Gardiner sit with Michael as he shares the pain, the anger, the anguish, and the ultimate joy of his faith crisis. During this time he asked himself many questions, like the following:
“How do you impress Jesus?”
“Do I have an experience with God?”
“Did I become a version of a Christian I was told to become?”
“Do I know Jesus at all or do I know ideas about Him that have been taught to me?”
These questions pierced Michael’s soul as he struggled to get answers from God. He came to the realization that he was “keeping promises [his] heart no longer [felt].” But he continued to keep those promises despite the silence, until one day answers came to him in the form of songs and he felt the love of God.
At the end of the day, your faith journey is your own, but maybe Michael’s honesty about his own doubts and questions can help you know that you truly are not alone.
How do you practice gratitude in your life? Do you sometimes feel guilty for not being more grateful during trials and heartaches? It’s safe to say, we all do, and Christie Gardner and Michelle McCullough are here today to help you see that and to help you know it’s okay to feel that.
They also want you to know that gratitude can be a great tool for finding solutions during a challenge. Challenges remind us what it is to be human, and gratitude reminds us what it is to be spiritual beings. Therefore, gratitude can help us find the light in life’s dark places.
Our challenge to you is to find new ways to practice gratitude without feeling guilty that you don’t practice gratitude as much as you think you should. Instead of focusing on how often you feel gratitude, focus on some different, new ways you can practice it. Remeber, women are that they might have joy, and gratitude comes through joy!
What does true service look like to you? For John and Chase Hansen, it’s about getting to know the homeless around Utah. Today they sit down with Michelle and Christie to talk about how and why they began their journey of serving those without a place to call home.
As a father, John wanted to teach his son, Chase, how to put into practice what he learned in church about ministering. “If you’re on a mission to serve, you go look for opportunities,” and that’s exactly what they did when they started talking one on one to people who were homeless. What started out as a simple life lesson to a son turned into an ongoing effort called Project Empathy—a community of people working together to continue service to those less fortunate.
John and Chase want you to know that you can go and be the good in the world simply through positive human connection. Say hi to someone, smile, be a friend. It’s the tiny acts that can make the biggest difference. You just need to show up, be brave, and do it.
Join us in being inspired by these two gentlemen by watching our episode today. Tell us in the comments below how someone has made a positive impact in your life!
Have you ever had a dream you wished you could make happen? It’s likely things didn’t go as expected.
Check out our episode today as hosts Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCullough talk with Shae and Brad Robins, famous performers and singers, who share their stories and the ways they have learned to live their dreams and use their talents.
Shae loved performing from a young age and pursued her goals of becoming a singer and actress. She has had remarkable experiences with learning to use her talents to connect with God, to discover herself, and to encourage and uplift others. Brad was a little hesitant to embrace singing, but when he landed his first lead role as a teenager, he knew he’d found what he loved. And even though starting a “boy band” with his fellow members of the singing group Gentri was daunting, he stands by having the courage to dare to dream.
How have you gone out into the world by using your talents for good? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
If you’re a busy mom who struggles to make family dinnertime a priority, then this is the episode for you.
Join our hosts Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCullough as they talk with our guests, Liz Edmunds and Lizi Heaps, better known as the food nannies, about their meal planning tips that will transform the way your families eat, bond, and stick together.
Liz was once the host of the BYUtv show The Food Nanny, where she strengthened families by helping them implement her cooking and meal planning strategies. Since then, her daughter Lizi has taken up the title and carried on their business. What’s more, they’ve made an incredible discovery: kamut, a flour made from the only type of wheat that has never been genetically modified. It delivers in both health and taste!
Health, taste, and family: that’s what these meal plans are all about. They add some much needed variety, and unlike dieting, they have sustainable long-term effects. The best part of it all though is how cooking and eating will bring you and your loved ones closer together.
