  • Stephanie Sorensen: Go and Be a Follower of the Prophet

Have you ever struggled with how to balance your view of prophets? Has it ever been difficult for you to accept their counsel? Today, our hosts, Michelle McCullough and Christie Gardiner, are joined by BYU professor and religious non-fiction author Stephanie Sorensen to tackle these questions and more. The wonderful news about prophets is that they provide evidence that “the doors of revelation are not closed.” However, saying what we always want to hear is far from their job description. Their counsel may invite us to wrestle a bit, but that wrestling also stretches us. And while “stretching always hurts,” it helps us grow because it “takes us to a new place, to a new understanding.” Tune in to our discussion for more ideas, thoughts, and inspiration on how to better understand and view modern-day prophets. @stephaniedibbsorensen

  • Paige Sorensen: Go and Be Elevated in Modesty

Let’s be real. Where does your mind go when you think of the word “modesty”? Our friend and Sweet Salt Clothing Stylist Paige Sorensen sits down with hosts Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCullough today to tell us all about it—and to break down how we may be misinterpreting this term. Paige defines modesty as “a relational balance between self, others, and God.” That includes so much more than just clothing, and it delves into the why of modesty, which is what we and our youth have been missing out on because we’ve honed in on the wrong things. In reality, we can have a discussion about modesty and never bring up hemlines. Check out our episode for more insights on the growth potential with modesty, what it entails, and what we can do to teach ourselves and others these important principles. • Alexis and Chanté: Go and Be ONE

In times like these, when we are kept apart by a global pandemic, contention, and misunderstanding, how do we build relationships and create connections with those around us? Today, our hosts Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCullough sit down with Alexis Bradley and Chanté Stutznegger of the famous Instagram account @letstalk_sis to discuss oneness. As black women growing up in a predominantly white community, Alexis and Chanté have learned throughout their lives that, though it’s uncomfortable to not understand the actions of others, it is vital for us to try our best to develop the Christlike attribute of empathy and seek understanding, seek "to stop seeing peoples’ actions and start seeing people.” From comforting others in their pain to navigating social media to facing the tough conversations we need to have with our kids, the insights in this episode are ones you won’t want to miss! Join us, and share with us how you have gone forth in the world to be one with the people around you.

  • Trisha & Kirby Heyborne: Go and be a Minister

What would you do if the sister or family you ministered to didn’t ever let you see them in person for years? Well, that’s exactly what happened to Trisha Heyborne, wife of actor Kirby Heyborne, when she had a difficult visiting teaching assignment. Trisha found a way to reach out over the years, and when she finally did meet the woman, the results were not quite what she’d expected. For Kirby, ministering to and serving others is all about listening. We show we care when we open up to others about ourselves and seek for them to do so in return. “It is hard to be divided from someone when you listen,” he says. Check out today’s episode with Trisha, Kirby, and our hosts, Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCollough, for even more inspiration on how to make your service about “friendship instead of an assignment.”

  • Eva Witesman: Go and Be Spiritually Gifted

Has it ever been difficult for you to recognize your spiritual gifts, or perhaps to even feel like you have any at all?  You aren’t alone.  Today, our hosts Christie Gardiner and Michelle McCullough chat with BYU professor Eva Witesman to learn more about how we all can not only see spiritual gifts but seek them as well. For Witesman, there are two parts to having spiritual gifts: first, you can recognize what you’re inherently good at, and second, “it’s 100% okay to covet spiritual gifts,” to “aspire to them.” Spiritual gifts come when we combine them with personal revelation, as we pursue them in order to accomplish the work we have on this earth and discover what that work is. Join us to learn more about what you can do in your life to further go and be in the world with your own spiritual gifts.  @evawitesman
