Neither is perfect -- as one contract clause and one anonymous defensive coordinator announced -- but, by God, you want to hand both the blank check. Arizona didn't have any other choice, and neither will Baltimore. (That's OK, too.)

Back when we launched Go Long, one of our first Q&As was with the NFL's all-time sack leader himself: Buffalo Bills great Bruce Smith. I figured we'd include a good chunk of that conversation here in the podcast feed, especially with July 4th around the corner. Smith talks plenty about his trips overseas and one particular trip to Iraq was quite mind-blowing. Living right with the soldiers who defend our country shaped how he views the world.
