  • Episode 77: An Interview with DeQuan Watson Pt 2

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast and strap your selves in. This is a longer episode due in part to the amazing questions that you all sent us to ask DeQuan Watson (one of the hosts of the Color of Magic podcast). In part one of a two part series the hosts discussed with DeQuan representation of Characters of Color in Magic Lore with a fair amount of tangential seeming stories that are very important to the overall discussion. If you haven't listened to Pt 2 you should probably go do that now...  Today in Pt 2 we are back with mailbag questions and actionable advice for steps we can take for addressing issues of race in the Magic Community.

Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).

We also want to draw attention to this article on stigma from NAMI's site.

  • Episode 76: An Interview with DeQuan Watson Pt 1

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast. During the introduction to last week's episode our hosts discussed the importance of taking a more active stance when it comes to social issues. DeQuan Watson (one of the hosts of the Color of Magic podcast) had put out a message stating that he is willing to talk with people who might have questions, both about what they can do and about the presence of Content Creators of Color. In part one of a two part series the hosts discuss with DeQuan representation of Characters of Color in Magic Lore with a fair amount of tangential seeming stories that are very important to the overall discussion. In Pt 2 we will be back with mailbag questions and actionable advice.

Again we would like to state that Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not).

  • Episode 75: Come Drink to the Guilds

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast. After finishing up May as Mental Health Awareness, our Goblin Hosts had taken a week off from the cast. The original plan had been to publish a Goblin Games for the first week of June but with the killing of George Floyd and the protests and unrest the host decided to wait. Both Alex and Hobbes live in Minneapolis and this definitely hit close to home.

As such the Gobbos are back with a Patreon Inspired Goblin Games (courtesy of Titus Lunter). However, prior to jumping into the episode the hosts both share a personal message about Black Lives Matter (with a link to where you can offer support both monetary and not) and the general stance of the cast when it comes to social issues.

  • Episode 74: Slobad, Glissa, and the Nature of Stigma

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast. This is our final episode for #MentalHealthAwareness Month! Hobbes and Alex decided to tackle a heavy topic with Stigma and what better way to do this than to revisit one of our favorite Goblins (Slobad). This episode looks at Slobad and Glissa's stories from a new lens than what we did way back in Episode 19! Stigma is a set of beliefs that are held about a particular group (or can be internalized to the point that people believe them about themselves). It is one of the biggest barriers for seeking care. So join us as we finish out the Month of May.

  • Episode 73: We're All in Recovery

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast. Today we have a solo episode with HobbesQ discussing Mental Health Recovery and Asking for Help. We had originally planned to discuss Stigma this week but that topic ended up being bigger than our prep time and also fitting for the end of #MentalHealthAwareness Month! Hobbes also tried out his fancy new microphone sound booth and realized that it works... almost too well... his very inhalations could be heard. He apologizes and we have decided not to eat him...

Welcome back to the Goblin Lore Podcast! For today's episode Alex and Hobbes discuss Cognitive Distortions/Common Mistakes in Thinking.
